Oh, about the GGW offers. Someone posted in the Slickdeals thread how to get around the bad-url. On the GGW: Daytona Beach offer, after you click on the offer and then delete the part of the url that says GAM-XXXX (XXXX is any 4 digits, I imagine they'll be unique) then it'll work.

You will have to put in an MCR for it, but I did get credit for doing so. I submitted the MCR on the 13th and got credit the next day, YMMV on the time but it worked for me.

I haven't tried it with the others, since the rest are all half-credits.

For 360 it's 2.5. A rough gauge of is ~30 bucks of merchandise per credit.

For the GGW DVDs you pay $10.80 and you keep the DVDs when you cancel.
For the GGW online trials with the trick it only costs $4.97 and it's online so you don't have to worry about sending anything back when you cancel.

I ordered the GGW: Wildest Bars over three weeks ago, and was charged the $9. Since it was a 30 day trial thing, I called yesterday, because I never received the DVD. She told me that they take 3 to 6 weeks to arrive and asked if I want to stay a part of their monthly subscription.

I told her, "How would I even know if I want to, since I haven't received the DVD yet?" She replied, "Oh, it's hot, trust me - you'll love it!"

I thought about messing with her over that line, Tom Mabe-style, but I decided against it.

So, I have a few more days to cancel, but I don't recall if you have to send the DVD back or not.

You realize each of your refs need to do 8 credits as well right? Most sites will pay $200 per ref for those kinds of deals.

DON'T USE THIS SITE. They just want your money and will ban you any chance they get. I have a Visa card with a low spending limit on it. I was reaching my limit for the month and I signed up for Video Professor, instead of charging the $7 or so they say they were going to charge. They charge my card $100 and the card rejects it. VP then flags my account on MegaFreebie and they refuse to open my account back up. I had 5 credits sitting in my account, I will never use this company again. Long live Trainn

I wouldn't worry about it dude, they been around a long time and they are still going strong. Just because a couple people try to fraud/scam and then claim they did everything legit (as if they would admit others) doesn't mean you should cash for games you don't want. Just pre-order all the games you want if you really want to use the credits, but I don't really think you need to.

I apologize for the issues you are having with Grant Consultant. It seems that they spent a while investigating your claim and have chosen to deny it. I do not know why they chose to do so, but there is nothing further that can be done once an advertiser has denied your credit. I wish there was more I could do because I would like to get you your credit but once an advertiser has denied your credit my hands are tied behind my back.

GTA 4 - submitted my order 5 days before it released, got it 2 days after release

Incredible Hulk - submitted my order 18 days before it released, got it 6 days after release but I think that was due to Amazon having supply problems with this game

MGS4 - submitted my order 4/30 - I am hoping to get it Friday or Saturday at the latest. I read on some forums of people who submitted for GTA4 a month early getting it on release day. We will see.

Do NOT complete the offer for Ebay Money Machine (Affordable Guides). They are big scammers, and I've learned it the hard way. Like a fool, I neglected to read their TOS before signing up, thinking that I'd simply get the cancellation number after giving them my information. Everything seems straight foward, and I thought I would get a 10 day trial for $1...not quite. They basically say how if you cancel within the 10 day trial, you'll be charged a $40 cancellation fee. If you wait until after the trial, you'll be charged a non-refundable $59 for the month. It's a CATCH 22. As if to be even SCAMMIER THAN PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT, they went and charged me $59 after 3 days!! I actually thought of cancelling and accepting the $40 charge as my own error, but this really pissed me off.

I'm lucky to have American Express I suppose, because they denied the charge and notified me immediately. The card is shut down for fraudulant use now. Sorry Affordable Guides!

-less time to play as I am very busy with work (didn't mention that in my OP)
-don't have to deal with the headache of finding offers i can actually do and dance around the fraud and gotchas and spam of freebie sites along with canceling orders on time etc. many of the good easy offers have dried up and what is left is a lot of crap. Some even have cancellation fee's hidden in TOS now. Fradulent charges are on the rise from these dirtbag offer sites.

I am not saying it's bad, just saying it's not as easy or worth it as it once was - at least for me. Also the credit crunch is starting to make the CC companies a lot more leary about fraud and that complicates things. Many in other forums are saying they cant get offers to credit because credit card companies will think some $2 charge is fraud and lock the card down forcing you to call them to clear it up only to have it happen again on your next offer. I have usedup many of the ofers over the last year so that may be part of the problem.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I've done the easiest offers on this site, and maxed out my yearly $600 on yf360g.com so I've stopped as well. Backlogged and work is in full gear. Time to sit back and slowly work through my unplayed games.

I 3rd that. I've far passed the $600 mark on YF360 and I've been lucky that they haven't stopped my account. One more is processing. If it freezes, I'll cancel it and hold off until 2009. No point in paying taxes with about 2 months left.

Megafreebie's offers are getting crappy, they don't credit consistently, and most of the good ones are PWW and they refuse my information. I'm stuck in a rut now.

Looks like my last games for 2008 are going to be Dead Space, LBP, and maybe Left 4 Dead. We'll see if I can squeeze another game out of megafreebie and perhaps YF360 will continue to be stupid and ship another game to me without freezing the account. We'll see (and hope).

The Discover Card credits much quicker than I expected. Gas card took about 3 days.

Slim Reduction and Holsted Jewelry credited within 30 minutes for me. GameFly took a day.

Update - Google Money tree charged my trial to my CC today. I submit a CR and it was approved tonight.

I was surprised tonight to see my last credits came in:

I waited for Free Grant Network credit for 3 weeks. It dropped to 1/2 since then but MF gave me the other 1/2 credit to make up for it (they did it without me asking!). I put in my order for MLB the Show 09 and they approved it in 17 minutes. So next week I should have Killzone 2 and MLB The Show 09 arrive for a total of around $8 in trial offers.

This will bring my total to 10 games with MF since October 2007 but I noticed their offers count dropped to 33 and most are just 1/2 credit now. Unless they bump back to 1 credit offers I will be on the sidelines with them.

MLB The Show 09 - one word AWESOME!

They fix some annoying things from 08 and I think it is near perfect now.

For instance, RTTS - you can choose to have computer handle your running and fielding plays so you can just hit or you can choose to do some manual some auto. They also kept the old Yankees and Mets stadiums in the game as well as added the new ones.
