Ok so I finally got the Wiimote in and here is alil verbage about everything before I start the review.

I ordered it from DealExtreme.com using my GamingLagoon.com (http://www.gaminglagoon.com/?ref=98907)points on a Custom Order. That went extremely well took almost 24 hours till I got my confimation that the order was Shipped/Processed. For some reason on DealExtreme.com it came up as being shipped but then I got another e-mail saying that it was shipped on the 7th of March so im pretty much thinking it got shipped then.
My Wife received the package yesterday and I couldnt wait to get home and open it up. It came in a regular small shipping enveolope big enough to fit the box in it. The box was a little beat up but nothing was damaged to the point I had to call up DealExtreme.com.

Opened the box and wow it looks pretty umm cheap right? Well I assure you that
the products in side were top notch.

Took everything out and this is what I have: (List from left to right)

1. Battery Cover
2.Wii Mote Back
3. Wii Mote Front
4. Bottom Trigger B Button
5. Tri Wing Screw Driver (if anything this was the most wanted item)
6. Direction Buttons/Home - + Keys Power Keys
7. Screws

Now on a lighter note I hear alot of people saying that when they buy stuff like this the screws included arent durable. So I went ahead and used my previous Wii Mote screws for the job. The Tri Wing was very good it got the job done nicely and hey for 10.63 everything you need for this job was either in the packaging or you could gut the old case for it. I used this Tutorial to take the Wii Mote apart seeing how I never done this before, and of course there were ZERO instructions on how to do everything, once everything was together I got this:

Awesome. How do the Wü buttons feel? Will they lose their spring? That would be my only concern. And that sucks about the rumble. Anyway, you've still got the original shell. Don't throw it away.

Whats the Wu buttons? The rumble isnt that much of a problem though it could of been the way I installed it or something who knows I just noticed it. I don't exactly have the wiimote for rumble anyway. The Rumble sucks before I opened it :-)

Look at the box. Isn't Wü the manufacturer?

It looks like Wii, but the "ii"s are conjoined and the bottom.

lol you know I never noticed that. The buttons are fantastic no gripes here. I played smash with the controller and i was really impressed. Seems like the controller responded a tad better, well enough for me to notice.

That's really neat! And that it works well is good. Are you thinking of trying some other case mods?

Yea im thinking of doing the one for the full Wii System Case replacement. I would like to do the LED mod but I don't see a real reason to do it at this moment. I have 3 kids and I don't need stuff attracting them to my systems lol oh and they are 2/3/10 mo. Anywho ill write up a review once I find somewhere to buy it from. I would like a US place but they kinda expensive. I am thinking of grabbing a Shock DS Lite case for 35 but it seems like it would take awhile to install.

Looks cool. Take it out of the rubber case though, it almost defeats the purpose of changing the case out

Definitely think carefully about doing a DS shock case. If you look at some detailed directions there is a lot of room for error.

Yea I saw this Youtube Video on how to do it and like 4 m inutes into the video I was like  then I noticed it was like video 1 of 5 or something like that and im like yea umm maybe that will be down the road. Plus all the ribbions I keep hearing that are inside of the DS so yea ill put that on hold. As for the Wii rubber case for the most part its going to be outside that I just left it on so people could see what it looks like. How was it changing the case on ur wii?

Looks good. If you take apart a DS be careful, it has a lot room for error. I took one apart myself and it was tricky.

Really? Well I might just go with getting the wii replacement case then and worry about my ds later

Pretty awesome, but not for $10.63 a Wii Remote. And I'd want the Nunchaku to be clear as well.

Well at first the 10.63 is good for the triwing screwdriver included which is needed. Some people sell that screwdriver for 99cent-10 dollars. I mainly got it because I play smash with it so im not really worried about the nunchaku for now.

I haven't done so, I've only considered it. If I were to change out the case I like this one -
http://www.totalconsole.com/catalog/talismoon%20evolve%20wii%20sapphire%20nodashi.jpg

Then I would change the DVD tray LEDs to white. I really like white LEDs. My very first cell phone was an old Nokia with green lights and I changed them out to white

I'm closer to changing my DS case. The non-glossy part and shoulder buttons have a blue / purple like tint from my jean pockets. I like this case, similar to the Wii case I like.

I think I would have taken the shell and painted it, I don't care for the clear look. But I like where this is headed, case mods can be really cool.

you know I thought of that but for real tho if u got paint skills then u might as well just pain the OG case. I liked the clear case I can say there could be better color wise but everytime I look at it im like yo that is hot. And I like seeing the stuff in side, I think my kids enjoy that too

You've convinced me to order one.

Here is my idea. Paint the shell gun metal silver and paint the Nyko Perfect Shot the same color. Now you have a bad-ass all silver zapper. Seems simple enough...

My problem is that if I changed out one remote I'ad want to change them all. That would get expensive. I'll probably eventually do my Wii. That would be a one time shot.

This is where my idea works. I would have one controller that looks awesome in the gun and the rest are OEM.

Well I kinda like having mix match controllers when I wanted the black shell I was gonna call them ebony and ivory lol

Yea I guess that works. I just don't like painting things anymore. I did my PSX red and it looks cool but after that I got lazy with my case changing and just bought a Dreamcast shell and then a PS2 shell later too. I think I did one of my Dreamcast controllers as well. I wanted to mess with my 360 too but with the failure rate I settled with a faceplate

i don't know your skills but imo I would never paint a case its a waste of time. now if u got the skills to do it then kewl. I rather just grip some shells and replace the guts etc on another note nintendo made there innars very very simple I forgot to put that in the OG post I couldnt belive how the wiimote just fell apart nicely. Like besides the main pcb and the butons thats it oh and the speaker.

I checked my photobucket. Here are my two only paint jobs

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v359/c0urage0us/b6dfe8a0.jpg

The key is vinyl dye and not any spray paint, because it actually dyes the plastic. I wouldn't ever do it again, just because replacements are so readily available.

It took about two weeks to get here. And like the OP's, the box was a little trashed but nothing inside was damaged.

I think it was worth the money for ~$10.

Very nice but I'd rather have a black Wii Remote. I wish Nintendo would hurry up and release the 'motes in a different color.

Mrcapcom
06-23-2008, 06:25 PM
they have black ones but they are of course a bit more expensive. I only brought and I guess showed you guys this one because it was 10 bucks from dealextreme I don't know if I would pay more for another wii mote case. But as soon as I get some time I will buy a black wii case but thats far in the future. Im looking for replacement cases for my 360 right now

That one Courageous posted is pretty sweet looking... unfortunately the blue also makes it look like a ZIP drive.
