could u post some problems u had with the game because i was thinking of picking it up for some quick football fun. i thought it was pretty good for the hour or so i played at my local eb. it had nice graphics, fun gameplay, and blitz-like action. although i didnt play it thoroughly, i liked what i did play. the only problem i had with it was that the gamebreaker didnt seem like it impacted the game as much as it did in nba street.

Yeah you really need more info than that. NBA Street 1 and 2 are awesome, this has high expectations, does it just not meet them or what?

Most Best Buy's won't let you combine offers (Gamer's Gift Card coupon on top of the pricematch ). If one can get away with it, though, more power to them.

I personally liked NFL Street more than either NBA Streets, but like it's NBA counterpart it gets old somewhat quickly. It's not very challenging unless you have friends to play with, and it, like NBA Street, is a clear example of EA's unbalanced AI that lets the CPU teams get back into the game more because it's screwing you and not because they're playing well.

It's a pretty fun game, but as a solo title it's a rental at best. One of the better group games you'll find on the PS2 though.

I thought that this was a very shallow game. The gameplay modes are as follows: pick up game with some randomly picked nfl players and dynasty, where you take some scrubs and slowly build their stats as you play along.

Defense is pretty much impossible, UNLESS, you pick the money play. There's one play that will pretty much shut down any offense. Without that magic play, you're pretty much out of luck when it comes to defense. Gamebreakers are pretty much worthless. Typically, when you're opponent gets a GB, you get one as well. they pretty much cancel one another out. Plus, when your guy is dancing around building style points and someone else hits your, your guy will fumble each and every time. The computer will not. I think that when I rented this, I got it for a week. I took it back after 3 or 4 days.

I didn't enjoy it much myself, but really didn't play it much either. A buddy brought it over to a Super Bowl party I had (he rented it) and we played a quick game that day and then he let me keep it a few more days to check out. I ended up barely playing it as it just wasn't all that fun to me. I was surprised since I really like NBA Street 2. But I am sometimes cold on a game at first and then warm up to it later, so who knows? I was dissapointed that there wasn't a mode like the "Be A Legend" mode in NBA Street.

As I said, I like NBA Street 2 and was pretty surprised this one didn't strike my fancy.

Kind of happy someone else doesn't like this game. I bought NBA street after hearing all the good things about it but after playing it for awhile it was kind of boring to me.

I think it is a worthwhile game, especially if you creat your own team and build them up. I've fumbled the CPU plenty and can hold them most of the time on defense, just don't play it blitz style, always rushing the QB and you'll be successful. Styles I think are fun, but the game takes time to get some skills. As for difficulty, there is a CPU assist option that can be turned on or off, but for me playing with a newly created team, there was plenty of challenge as my guys were horrid at most anything. Then it comes down to skill. I think of it as NFL blitz with a little more play calling and strategy like madden. I definately like the playbooks. Option passes, QB runs, direct RB snaps, reverses, RB pass plays, a lot more trick plays than I've seen in most games.
