TooManyGames – The east coast's premier indie gaming event showcases video games in all their infinite splendor.
Reading, Pa – March 19th, 2008 – 2008 marks the 5th year of TooManyGames, the east coast gaming expo. In the last four years thousands of gamers have stormed Reading, PA to take part in Pennsylvania's premier gaming event and this year's May 4th event plans to blow all the others out of the water!
“TooManyGames isn't an event run by corporate heads who push mission statements,” says TMG founder, Chuck Whitby, “we're the same gamers who attend the show. We know what gamers want in an expo and we push to give them exactly that!”
TooManyGames features tons of awesome entertainment including:
- Dozens of game systems and arcade games set up for free play all day long
- Guitar Hero National Championships, hosted by Twin Galaxies and sponsored by Red Octane and Nyko
- The largest gaming marketplace of any convention
- Dozens of classic and modern game tournaments
- Contests including the first CosPlay competition and TooManyGames Scavenger Hunt
- Music DJ'ed by world famous OverClocked Remix
- 'Frag for the Cure' charity Halo 2 tournament
- tons more!
New organizer Paul Truitt says “This is a totally awesome community event! Gamers can get together to shop for new games to play, get some awesome video game artwork, win some cool prizes, and just hang out and play games with everyone else!”
TooManyGames is proud to team up with CharityGamers.org to host the first “Frag for the Cure” event at this year's event. Gamers will be able to face off in the legendary FPS Halo 2 to support multiple sclerosis research.
Vendor and exhibitor space is currently sold out. 34 vendors and exhibitors are filling up the TMG marketplace offering classic games, new games, video game artwork, tournaments, and more for everyone to enjoy!
TooManyGames is still open for new sponsors to join Red Octane, Jolt Energy, Nyko Accessories, Mad-Gear, LLC, QuarterArcade.com, Twin Galaxies, Good Deal Games, and our other sponsors. Companies interested in sponsoring TooManyGames should contact Chuck Whitby at chuck.whitby@toomanygames.com
TooManyGames will make its return at the Greater Reading Expo Center in Reading, Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 4th 2008. Show hours are 11am to 8pm, 10am to 8pm for people who preregister for tickets online. Media is welcome during setup hours of 7am-10am.
