Yep. Only 10,000 copies printed from what I understand.
Note to anyone considering this purchase:
This game is terrible. Too terrible for even the hardest-core DBZ fan. Don't bother. Take that $30 and buy something nice for your mother. She deserves your money, not Atari.
EDIT
That was ultimate battle 22 I believe
Nope. Ultimate Battle 22 saw it's first US release last year. It was originally for the Super Famicom in Japan.

Yeah, I thought UB 22 was pretty bad. Legends was an interesting idea, but it was poorly executed.
The only DBZ game worth its salt, imo, is Hyper Dimension.

What would REALLY be funny is if some poor sap sees it at EB, thinks he's stumbled onto a great deal, and buys 10 copies of it, and tries to sell them on EBay. THAT would be FUNNY. Like some poor bastard who bought out the stock of Tickle Me Elmo, AFTER Christmas, when the damn things weren't worth crap.

how can they release a game with a new name
and couldn't Bandai relrelease it since it was published by them? Similar to how Capcom rereleased Marvel vs Capcom for PS2 and XBOX, but they couldn't add online play since it would make a new game since they didn't have the liscence.

Actually, Legacy of Goku 2 is halfway decent, and the recently released Supersonic Warriors is actually quite good. But, other than that, yeah, they mostly suck. The Budokai games make for amusing rentals, at least.

You sure you heard that from a semi-legit source somewhere? From what their mods have mentioned in their forums about a year ago, Infogrames has long been after DBGT:FB trying to re-release it but that legal issues tied it up. I guess now is the perfect time with the show on air and Budokai 3 upcoming with a few GT characters.

I was thinking about posting a similar gag. ;-)
Anyway Knight I can't help but disagree with you more and the same with the other person. Honestly I can't imagine ANY game worse than UB22. I was originally thinking about buying that game and I have to say after playing THANK GOD! I didn't buy it. I mean what an absolute COASTER. Seriously this game is only good for that purpose. It looks like they grabbed drawings from a comic book and just PLASTERED it onto a background. The control is too slow or rather the movements are WAY delayed. Time an attack like 5 seconds ahead of time. ANYONE who thinks this game is great has got problems. After all that I have to say I've heard "Legends" is cool.
Honestly though for a DBZ game "Hyper Dimension" is pretty good(plays like SF) and I actually like "Budokai". Seriously I was quite surprised by the game. People should honestly try it out.

i imported this game on release from japan and I liked it well enough when it came out. It felt like a strategy fighting game as you had to plan everything out before you did it and the pace was pretty slow. Then again, a bunch of characters have infinite combos if you time it correctly and the game is full of bugs like Pan's infinite fireball thingy sticking out from her enabling you to basically walk into the enemy until they die.

Haha, what a joke. That game's been losing value ever since the announcement of the Budokai games, going from $550 one summer to $100. Now it'll be $30 or so, and not worth shit.
So, if anyone still is out there, thinking, "WHOAMG!!!shift+1!111!eleven!! NEW DBZ GAME LOLOL," don't. I bought the import a long time ago, and unless you like to press an attack button, and sit, and wait, for the press to be recognized, then do the right thing and pass on it. Trust me, that ain't "strategy"; it's lazy-ass, sloppy programming.
In short, the game is how everyone else has put it. Someone at Bandai took a collossal binary shit, put it on a disc, and morons have been paying half a thousand dollars for it ever since. Don't be one of those idiots.

When you wade past the 5 different forms of Goku, all with the exact same attacks and attributes, fight your way to the end of the game where you fight Baby that looks like a total of 8 polygons, its kind of a letdown...
Don't even get me started on the "Build your character" mode.
