This whole thing is going to end in an odd number. 10-5-3?-2-1? or 12-6-3-2-1? I mean what does everyone prefer? If we just go with what we have then at least at the 5 point it can be round robin play and they will all play each other, the best 4 records go on. Then it goes back to sudden death for the last two rounds. I don't know this idea seems half baked due to lack of people

decrot, the problem being is that there isn't much interest in playing this. It will be a quick tournament just to have tournament style play. It'll be two rounds of people playing and then after that it will be narrowed by a lot. I'll set it up, but I can't just keep joining myself ya know?

Sorry Aaron, I think we should close it down @ 16 as it is just the loser's bracket. It's amazing how many people wanted to join yesterday.

I have the 16 people in the first page, but I'm going to redo the bracket so it goes 8 from each side and looks a little fancier, we are the losers after all.

I'd have to say let's see how it goes tonight. I PM'd everyone who hadn't posted results that the tournament was started, so we can figure things out once more results get posted.

I could extend it again (and I don't see a reason why I couldn't because there are only 16 of us), but I just want to make sure this finishes up before the other tournament does. That way there can be a clean slate and a new tournament will happen with everyone again (sooner or later).

I'll be going to a concert tonight so I'll be gone all night, so if you could play it Sunday morning I don't think it'd be a major problem. Could you get it in by Noon Sunday (I won't change the deadline, but I'll not the exception)?

I'll keep the front page updated until I go to the show and I might check back again when I get home (after midnight probably).

Sonic - I don't think so. I don't think you can disable it at all but I could be wrong. I use the Wii-mote/nunchuk setup so I have no idea on my end.

Round Summaries: Final Destination

Round 1: (ck64) Ike vs. (EGMan) Zelda/Shiek 3-0.

This one was pretty brutal. EG wasn't able to land hardly any hits. Plus, he killed himself fairly early on with little help from me. I think it ended with me at 7% damage.

Round 2: (ck64) Ike vs. (EGman) Samus 3-1.

Round started out with both of us trading fairly even blows. We each killed each other once. After that, I was able to land a couple of solid F-Smashes and scored the second kill. On EG's last life he put up a hell of a fight and landed 3 or 4 full charged shots on me while I was on the edge. He got me up to 170% or so before I was able to recover and a charged dash attack connected giving me the win.

Round 3: (ck64) Ike vs. (EGMan) Jigglypuff 3-2.

This was the hardest match by far. He landed several charged rolling attack things on me while I would try to charge up my F+B to cancel them out. Towards the end of the match, he missed a couple of D+B rest attacks which let me use fully charged F-Smashes on him.

Good games... except the first one.

Just to make it clear, it is a best of 3 series. So if you win the first two then it's over. I mean feel free to play the third match for fun, but it isn't necessary.

Ive been trying to play hero since the names were announced. But he kept saying to play on sunday night. So i just pmed him again to say im home lets play, but ive just been waiting for him.

we just played. it was super laggy but i was able to beat him 2/3. First round was all me. Second round was all him. Third was really close but i was able to pull out the W. GG's man. Now its me and you lobstah. And round 1 only has exstrike and shottiepippen to go. today is the deadline i believe.

Sleepy and I finished our matches today. The first match was really close and lasted nearly 8 minutes. We both had 200+ damage with 1 stock before I finally pulled through somehow. I won the second match as well, and sleepy won the third. Great games!

Yeah, they were very good matches, I feel like we were both fairly evenly matched. Matches 1 & 2 were very weighted (1 Maigoyume won by a landslide, 2 I won by a land slide) but match 3 was very epic! Good luck in the finals.

tell you what though, I sure as heck wouldn't be doing it if you had a reflector/absorb

and if you didn't have a counter attack move, i'd have used more physical attacks.

Wolf is cool like that, KB laser for physical guys, reflector for other projectiles, and a wicked fsmash to get in your face and is awesome for spacing.

As you saw, if I would have used my main Ike, I'd have probably got slaughtered.

Round 1:
Wolf vs. Lucario

The round started with some dodging of projectiles... then a smash ball appeared.

Round 2:
Wolf vs. Lucario

This round had a fair amount of lag giving Wolf a pretty good advantage with his very quick smashes and added difficulty in dodging laser spam. I pretty much was able to just spam laser shots and fsmashes without too much fear of a counter attack. Lucario was responsible for at least one of his own deaths via a fully charged and later reflected... blue ball thing. Still, I was taught a couple lessons concerning being above or below Lucario and his blue energy of super priority. Good use of shield grabs and keeping me off the stage with blue balls kept the match interesting from my POV. In the end, Wolf scored the final kill.

Winner: CK64

Round 3:
Wolf vs. Lucario

Now we both kind of knew what to expect from each other and the lag had cleared up. Even so, the match progressed in the favor of Wolf. After Lucario's first death, I was able to rack up a fairly large percentage on him before losing my first life, giving me a pretty large % advantage. Lucario made a very solid comeback and was able to tie it up in terms of lives. I remember eating several up tilts and a ball or two. However, laser spam and fsmashing prevailed, and combined with the lag from both the psychic shotgun and landing from the air I was able to score the kill.

Winner: CK64

Round 4:
Ike vs. Lucario

After my two victories with the king of spam, I wondered how I would fare using my main, Ike. The short answer... not well. I had my first two lives taken out before I was able to get Lucario to 100% damage. I was so used to just mashing the c-stick with Wolf, that I was constantly eating counter attacks from missed fsmashes. Lucario's blue orbs didn't make things any easier, and I was constantly denied re-entry to the stage thanks to some good projectile work.

This round was pretty much rape.

Winner: maigoyume
