Anyone going? A buddy of mine has 2 extra tickets, and I'm debating on whether or not to go.
Have any bands been confirmed yet?

Got my Lolla tickets yesterday morning...$175 for a 3-day pass and worth every penny (as long as the NIN/Radiohead rumors turn out to be true!).
I've been to all 3 of the previous Chicago Lollapaloozas and they've been a blast...easily the most well-organized major music fest I've ever been to.

That is a crazy line up. I would definitely go just to see Rage, Radiohead, and NIN.

Indeed. But where's the Miley Cyrus love?!
For some reason, I expected heavier bands. But then I realized I was thinking about Ozzfest.

I would love to go, but it is too far away from me. Also the tickets are kinda pricey.

If I was 14 years old and had a vagina I'm sure I'd be full of Miley Cyrus love.

There's been a lot of focus on accessible indie-pop/rock since it's become a permanent Chicago fest (Cursive, Ghostland Observatory, Dresden Dolls, Silversun Pickups, TV on the Radio, Tegan and Sara, Editors, Against Me!, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Muse, etc.) but there's always a handful of mainstream pop-radio crap to (Blue October, 30 Seconds to Mars, Panic at the Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Kanye, etc.) and 90's alt-rock holdovers (Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., Violent Femmes, etc.) to bolster the attendance figures.
It's quite the mixed bag, but the planners are really good about making the schedule work (like this year, when Miley is rumored to be on at the same time as NIN).

Meh. I'd rather go to an NIN concert and pocket $150.

Since when is Does It Offend You, Yeah? a major band?
In any case, it'd be awesome seeing NIN and Radiohead that close together.

The addition of Hannah Montana is gonna drive up the prices of the concert and I wanna go and see CSS, CRS, Rage, NIN and Radiohead.

What the hell does Myley Cyrus have to do with lollapalooza? I'd go just to see NIN/Rage, otherwise, I'd just shell out to see NIN by themselves.

There's always a "Kidzapalooza" stage. Last year Perry Ferrell and Patty Smith sang children's songs.

Any chance that Rage and NIN will perform on the same day? Doubtful, but I can only hope. I wouldn't mind seeing Blues Traveler, either.

Friday night: RATM
Saturday night: NIN
Sunday night: Radiohead

Holy shit!
I might be working at Lollapalooza with Sony, in one of their gaming tents. (They should have two.)
If it does indeed happen, I wouldn't mind meeting some CAGs.
Plus, I think I would be working the morning/afternoon shift, meaning I'd get to see the nightly events. :hot:

The Lolla map (http://www.lollapalooza.com/themap.asp) does show 2 Playstation tents...should we just be looking for someone who looks like your avatar? ;)
I'm tempted to go just to see Rage since it's not likely to happen again for a while/if at all.

I actually need that updated. It's a soul-patch now, and not a goatee.
I don't know which tent I'm in yet, or 100% sure on which shift, but I'll post when I do know more.
