Recently been thinking about getting the freeloader.
Assuming I never update for the rest of my life, what are some fun import friendly games on the wii?
So far, I'm somewhat interested in the naruto fighting game and the resident evil 1 remake if it indeed never comes stateside.
any other suggestions?

Surely the Naruto game will come stateside. Of course, if you import, you won't have to listen to the horrible dubs they no-doubt attached. Haven't seen the English version myself, but it's anime and licensed anime always means terrible dubbing.
It is residentil evil 0 not RE1.
As for naruto we are probably a year away from getting the Japanese Naruto games. And actually Naruto 3 on PS2 has the option for Japanese voice.

oh its RE:zero? is it going to be just a port with wii controls like RE4?
and I don't think we're 1 year away, at least from the one naruto game I'm thinking about (i think its EX 2) since the anime in the US has just started the fillers and probably won't get to that point for at least 2 years unless they double up on episodes.

If you're getting the Freeloader, just make sure to avoid anything that'll force an update and render it useless.

The freeloader disables auto-updates from games.
you likely wont be able to run newer games without the update. Think of the freeloader as a tempory solution, less you dont feel like getting new games in the future.

I'd like this too, but alot of big games have forced updates. I much rather play some of the big games, than an import.
Annoying, but it is what it is :(

Anyone here ever play any of the wrestling or baseball titles from Japan? Do any have English options?

Softmod version of the freeloader, only requires an SD card and relatively safe from nintendo firmware updates using the twilight hack.
