Probably good to have in its own thread, points in parentheses:

http://www.siliconera.com/2008/04/01/the-cost-of-my-life-as-a-king/

Three tribal house pack – A bundle, which contains three houses below (800)

Lilitie’s House – allows recruitment for stout Lilitie warriors (300)
Selkie’s House – allows recruitment of stealthy Selkie thieves (300)
Yuke’s House – allows recruitment of mystic Yuke mages (black/white) (300)

The King’s new clothes – grants the little king new outfits, which can be selected at the castle (100)

Dress up Chime – grants Chancellor Chime new outfits, which can be selected at the castle (100)

Sacred Shrine – allows construction of a sacred shrine where adventurers can get a temporary boost (200)

Extravagant House – a place where many citizens can congregate (100)

Hard to say how much the new races will be worth until we see what kind of an effect they have on gameplay, since they aren't directly controlled in dungeons and the like.

More info from the GAF thread:

Also, I found out what the races add to the game. After you buy the DLC, it adds a dungeon into the game tied to the respective building. After your adventurers complete that dungeon it unlocks that building for construction. In a New Game+ you'll automatically be able to build those buildings from the start.

Very interesting information. I'm currently playing FFCC:RoF DS and thought to look up information on it online and started reading about My Life as a King. I have never bought downloadable content for a video game (mainly due, perhaps, because I only really play Nintendo systems, and Nintendo has never had downloadable content which you pay for). I'm highly hesitant to say I'll buy additional content, although if I enjoy the game enough, that's certainly possible.

What I'm mainly concerned about is this game being related to Nintendo's Pay to Play service, which I don't really understand, I admit. Pay to Play meaning I actually have to subscribe to some sort of service to play this game?

Anyway, thanks for the information, botticus. I'm interested in the game, but guarded, due to the launch of Wiiware, it's lukewarm reviews out of Japan, and the possibly corresponding Pay to Play.

So $13 for a new FFCC game? Sold.

From my understanding, the Pay to Play has two facets - DLC, and subscriptions. It really just means that when you see a red Wi-Fi circle instead of the blue, there is something to pay for. Nothing we've seen yet requires you to pay any sort of recurring fee to play.

A fellow gaming friend of mine clarified this point for me last night as well. Pay to Play meaning additional downloadable content is available, or will be available, I guess. I'm all for that, especially if the content really adds to the gameplay. Again, I have no experience with downloadable content, but I can see me using it for a game I really enjoy.

My Life As a King is the one title I would like to download day one.

So $13 for a new FFCC game? Sold. I believe that's $13 on top of the initial $15.
