Just saw the lowered price - I have not seen it brand new on Amazon.com for less than full price at all since release.

Check Ebay. Also, from what my friends have told me, it is a good game buy not worth more than $30. I've seen it sell on Ebay for $36 brand new (including shipping), so if you want it cheaper, try that.

I'll wait until $30.

$54.99? And that's supposed to move a few more copies, Amazon? Talk about your "j-o-k-e-s" today....

It's on GameFly for less than $40, and their games are usually in pretty good shape.

$5 off is not a great deal.

And still nobody will buy my $37 shipped mint condition copy. Amazon really ought to check the market on these things.

Your friends suck. No offense. I'm not a big racing game fan and maybe buy one on average for every console I have owned, but I spent $51 shipped on Burnout Paradise and have spent 35 hours playing it. I enjoyed it a lot even though I had a lot of minor gripes. It also made me purchase Burnout Revenge, which I'm playing through right now.

It can be found a lot cheaper though.

It's better than no money off, Mr. Negativity.

No need to insult me. $5 off a game thats been on sale for $40 is not a great deal, and like someone above said it can be found cheaper on Ebay.

You have my apologies, as I thought you were talking about video games in general and not just BP.

That game is terrible. I played it for about 20 hours, waiting for it to get better. Not so much. Dear Criterion, I wanted Burnout, not retardedly dangerous map game.

$5 off + no sales tax + free shipping is actually pretty good.

...and Burnout Paradise is pretty much the best next-gen racing game on the market--I bought it for MSRP and easily have had enough fun with it to warrant paying full price.

Burnout Paradise is awesome!

I'm sorry to sound like an elitist prick but can we get a reduction in these types of really non-deal threads? :\

Can't you get this cheaper if you buy it with another certain game at Best Buy?

Go to Ebay. I got it for $28 shipped a few weeks ago. Great Game.

Pretty much, I paid $39 sealed on ebay. I don't like the new direction it went where you gotta search for races. I just want to race damnit.

Maybe this is just me (edit: no, it's not, so don't say it's just me), but any game that can keep you playing for 20 hours sounds like a good game to me.

$5 off retail, is still a deal regardless of how great it is. If it bothers you guys so much, don't post in the thread to show your discontent, all it does it bump it up to the top, if now one replied, this one would have been buried in no time.

RPGs don't.

The more you like Burnout, the less you will like Burnout Paradise.

Not worth anywhere close to $55 imo.

....don't what? If you don't like a game, you don't keep playing ti because you feel like it....and this is coming from thr guy who put 50 hours into Final Fantasy X (my first FF, be nice )

I just set a trade up for this...i've wanted this since it came out, but the burnouts dont keep my interest enough to warrant $60

I've seen a lot of copies go for under $30 shipped on eBay (search eBay completed auctions if you don't believe me) and brand new sealed copies go for as low as $33. I think It's only a matter of time before we see this hit $40 new at places and a Amazon DOTD for $25.

Haven't read the reply's to this thread but past experience would tell me the subject of 1/2 of said posts is the deliberation of whether or not this is a good deal. The other half probably just wanted to comment on how they'll wait for it to go down in price.

But just in case, here it is: As a pure blooded CheapFuck I plan on waiting for this to hit the PH bargain bin before I buy

I have to agree a lot with the people here 54.99 is still really high priced for this game. I enjoy it online if you can get a good group going, but to get to a race I want mainly I love Road Rage is a pain. Burnout 3 and Revenge are my favorite racing games. This one just felt off from the previous ones. I got this game for $10.00 at Buy.com when I signed up for the revolution card and kind of feel bad I didn't use that 50.00 credit torwards a different game. Overall the game is good, but like others said $30-$40 good, nothing more then that.

I've noticed it too, this title started to drop like a rock after awhile. I could have had one for 30 shipped about a dozen times now.

I love this game. I've got Condemned 2, Bioshock, Uncharted, and HOTD waiting for play time, but I can't stop putting Burnout Paradise in the "BOX". I love the open map structure. And I thought original Burnouts were great too!

It wasn't the game that kept me playing, it was the promise of finally seeing the light. Which never came. I kept it up for that long because I played Revenge for 120 hours and hated it the first few hours.

Ummm... no if you'd actually read all the posts you'll see its found cheaper on ebay, and it's been on sale for cheaper.

Ebay was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. The reason was I picked it up for $36 for a new sealed copy. I've only played it a little bit, but the demo didn't do this game justice IMO. Plus you have a lot of great games right now for the 360. So I think a lot of people are holding off on this game.
