HA! Fuck you LDT. You are a cry baby bitch and I love when you lose. Lets see if you cry as much after loosing to a team other than the Pats.

Nice 26 yards and no TD's.

Damn, another loss that could have been won. Either way that was a awesome game! It sucks because the Chargers most of the time lose the close ones...

Must be pretty sweet for Jay Cutler to beat Philip Rivers like that after all the shit Rivers talked on the field last year.

I was rooting for the Broncos, but the Chargers got absolutely screwed. There is no reason that fumble by Cutler shouldn't have ended the game. Horrible officiating.

I'm done with the 49ers....officially. This team ain't gonna be shit until York gives the team away.

That's what I was saying and then they end up winning.

You are a idiot.. I don't know if you ever played sports and in a big game, and you were one of the best players and you were not able to play because of injury how do you think you would feel? I think I would have been depressed as well.

Um, yes I have played sports all my life and was on scholarship in college. Difference is when I was "depressed" if thats what you want to call it after a game and lashed out at the other team it simply was considered me being unsportsmanlike.

Bottom line. He is on a double standard he pretends to be all high class but whenever he loses he bitches and moans like the rest of us. He is a simply douche bag no matter which way you call it. Basically he for some reason finds it disrespectful for anyone to beat him and when he faces a team that doesnt treat him like a god but like another running back he cries like a bitch.

But thanks for the idiots remark for no reason at all by the way...you related to him or something?

They can't review parts of a play that happened after the play was whistled dead.

By the way Sprints free service Nfl mobile live works alright if you are thinking about getting it.

Its free with any data package and tracks all the game with audio and video, has some strange ass glitches though.

That's what I was saying and then they end up winning.

I have no clue why Nolan is the coach, the 2nd half was ALL MARTZ.

If i'm the GM (if only...) I fire Nolan, put Martz as Head Coach and put Singletary as the DC.

Helluva game by O'Sullivan.....I cheer for the guy, grew up loving the 49ers, UC Davis product....really gritty....imagine Garcia with an arm....

I'm glad I decided to bench Big Ben tonight. With his shoulder issues and the weather it's going to be hard for him to have a really good night passing. Only bad part is my backup in one league is Favre and that old fuck only scored me 11 pts...

This Steelers Browns games reminds me of that one superbowl with the Ravens. Lets set the record for most punts!

Its the same reason why I played Willi Parker (other than the fact that you have to play him) I figure they will be running a lot tonight. Hopefully.

By the way my opponent in FF got screwed. All 3 of his WR combined for about 8 points. TJ and Chad from the Bengals and Marvin Harrison how bad is that?

Yeah my wideout fucked me in my money league. I had Marvin Harrison, Bernard Berrian, and Eddie Royal. Thank God doe that blown fumble call against the Broncos b/c it lead to the TD and 2 pt conversion that gave Royal all his pts for the game.

Speaking of the Broncos game I wonder how serious the injury is to L.T.? I'd imagine if he can't go then Sproles would get the start.

I still have a chance to win in my money league this week but I'll need some good points from McNabb and Folk in the Monday nighter.

J.T. has played very well.....he holds onto the ball way to long but you know what? I don't mind it. He's trying to make a play happen....and the dude can scramble.....the last time I pulled for a QB like this was Garcia....O'Sullivan doesn't have the greatest arm/accuracy/precision but some of the plays he pulled out of his hat were ridiculous.

A 4th quarter scramble, avoids like 3 Seahawks players and dumps it off to Gore for a 20+ yard pass play....and the money throw to Bruce.....

Slowly but surely this offense is 'getting it'.....Bruce is making plays.....Johnson knows his role and Morgan/Battle make a decent #3/#4 combo....but Davis needs to be traded ASAP...coddamn does he blow.

Really? He looks average to me. I loved to be proven wrong but I don't think he can be a cornerstone of the team/offense.
If this season doesn't go well, Nolan is gone. On the last drive in regulation, we could have ran another play. There was 30 seconds left and we had 2 timeouts. Running out the clock for a long field goal was just stupid.
Anyways, Isacc Bruce is slow. When he caught that long ball, I was thinking TD. The Patrick Willis interception-touchdown was sick. lol. I didn't think he would turn that corner or shake the defenders that caught up. lol. Nolan better give him the game ball.

Just 2.

Winslow Jr is looking like one of the worst TE in the NFL right now. He has dropped like 2 or 3 balls and missed about 4 or 5 blocks and just over all sucking.

My bad, I thought you were being kind of a dick for no reason. From reading your post a little better, it looks like your referencing to the Chargers Pats game when the Chargers lost the playoff game two years ago. I too think the Pats showed unsportsmanlike conduct at the end of the by dancing and acting like idiots at midfield instead of being cool and professional and saving it for the locker room.

I agree. Though I think the o line is better than what they showed today. And a couple of those sacks were J.T.'s fault.

But J.T. did look great today. Issac is 36 so yeah he lost some speed but he caught 2 long balls and had over 100 yards receiving which is a pretty good day.

Maybe average isn't the right word but I just don't see the makings of a top QB. Some of those sacks are because he doesn't have much pocket awareness, as they term it.

Nobody said he was going to be a top QB, but his play today impressed. He has decent pocket awareness he just holds onto the ball way too long sometimes, trying to make something happen.

People stop trying to sing the anthem like a fucking pop song. Its not. Sing it and get the hell off the stage.

Granted there are some people out there who can really bring tears to your eyes when they sing it.....a lot of motown soulful people can really move you with their versions of the song.

But guess what? Thats not you bitch. Pop singers can barely sing without 18 computers to begin with.

Brutal.

They should have non-vocal renditions of the anthem if they are going to continue to do it. Get a military band to play it appropriately, or a recorded version. I don't need to see a singer try to "diva up" the song. This isn't American Idol. I have to agree with you Soodmeg, sing the song and get off the stage.

Eagles only turned the ball over Once. Dallas Turned the ball over twice with 14 seconds for 14 points. That hurt the Cowboys a ton.

That was a great game, the NFC East is gonna be a tough division this year. Although I'm a Bears fan, which sucks in Dallas since I don't get to see all the games.

Once I read the reports of bad weather I pulled Big Ben from my lineup.

I'm wondering how serious this supposed shoulder injury is? If he's hurt I don't want to waste any starts on him.

I'm not sure but I hope it's not bad, Kitna is my backup. I'm having major problems at TE started Heap last week and Olsen this week and both LOST me points. The only one worth anything is Witten, and the drunk guy at my draft got him with the 3rd pick.

Colts are just being hit by the injury bug hard. Sanders could miss 4-6 weeks. So this weekend, that could be two starters missing on defense, and four starters on offense.

Kitna at least puts up decent fantasy numbers since the Lions like to spot the other teams 21 points. I would play him until Detroit benches him...which could be sooner than later with the buzz around here.

I just traded MJD (I have Brandon Jacobs and Willi Parker with Matt Forte as a back up) for Marvin Harrison. Now I really am not playing on keeping Marvin I only wanted him beacuse MJD isnt going to do much this year but how high do you think I could trade MH for?

I really want another solid WR. Is he still considered a great WR because he hasnt done anything in 2 years.

Also. Desean Jackson vs Pit or Wes Welker vs MIA?

I am leaning toward Wes Welker.

Keep in mind this, I have Roy Williams of the Lions. He is still kinda their number 1 option but really gets no love now that Calvin is there.

Do you think I should try to work a deal with him before its to late? The lions are so bad that you cant rely on anything, one game they might not score the next game Roy could catch for 4 TDs. Whats your over all feel for Roy Williams.

If I dont start him I will have Jackson, Welker, Brandon Marshell to start this week (baring what ever WR I get back)

DJSteel
09-18-2008, 11:02 AM
I think Calvin is emerging as the go to guy for Detroit.. Roy is always going to be there but his numbers will fluctuate.. I normally stay far away from anything Denver except QBs because Shanahan loves to screw fantasy football all up.. Marshall's numbers will fluctuate as well with the emergence of Eddie Royal.. not nearly as much as Roy Williams

I would prob pick wes as every team seems to torch the dolphins secondary. I also have desean jackson on my team.

I picked up sammy morris but may end up dropping him for someone else. I dont know if morris will get the ground game going on the dolphins. I may just go for a sure thing and pick up the giants kicker or something.

Its like asking why Shaun Alexander doesnt have a job right now. Its because he is not good. You say you dont think Childress is smart enough? Look how stupid some of the management is on some teams. For example the Lions, if he was even remotely able to play the Lions would scoop him up with the quickness because they have a nact for signing really crappy players.

Culpepper sucks...he just does.

Some people simply cant not last in the NFL. To think that Randy Moss is still one of the top 3 WR in the league yet Culpepper cant even get a job? That says a lot.

Culpepper's biggest problem has always been that he can't read the defense. So to think that he could "fit" in with the Patriots is one of the biggest jokes I've heard in a long time.

Marshall is being touted as the next Owens. I agree that Shanahan likes being a fantasy tease, but it would be in his best interest to abuse the nuts out of Marshall.

Culpepper's game was mobility, throwing on the run, giving his receivers time to get open. He's about as mobile as Drew Bledsoe with that knee, he's done. He's not a pocket passer, he can't read defenses. And everyone knows it.

Dafoomie is right. Culpepper was a beast when he had mobility. He would use his legs to scramble around and give his WR's time to get open. Without that Culpepper isn't much of anything.

Also actually rushing for 610 yards is pretty good as well.

When I think of escapability I think of Romo and Favre. Culpepper had some serious speed for a QB and a guy of his size.

Who fits your bill of being a mobile QB then? The only person that I can think of from your logic is Vick.

when I hear a scrambling QB I think of Vick or Young? those guys live and die on their legs.. No QB that relies on their legs could ever throw over 4,700 yds in a season..

Culpepper used his mobility to buy time for the secondary to break down. His biggest asset was always his athleticism.

He's the 4th QB in history to rush for 2300 yards in 4 years, he has the 4th best QB career rushing average in history, and he has the 5th most rushing TD's by a QB in a season. So yes, I'd say his mobility was a big part of his game. He doesn't have it anymore, he's done. He's not a guy that can stand in the pocket and read defenses, he never was.

There is a reason why the Steelers took Byron Leftwich over him, theres a reason why there are a million scrub QB's in the league and he's not. The whole league knows he's done.

DJSteel
09-18-2008, 05:27 PM
The reason the Steelers took Leftwich was because Culpepper rejected the Steelers offer because he wanted a shot at becoming the starter..

Actually to be honesty. Why is it that all of LDT back up look way more explosive then he does? Sproiles (sp) Turner...both looked better then he does.

Also he is 29 years old and thats about when RB backs starts to decline and I think he will decline so fast it will make the leagues head spin. I give him 2 more years sucking it up on the Chargers before they try to deal him and he goes the way of Emmit Smith on a crappy team then retires.

You looked to jumped the gun here just a bit.. it's only 2 games into the season..give him some benefit of the doubt until it is a definite that he is done.. no Larry Johnson might be a different story.. that is all performance.. but it's tough to figure out if the OL is really bad or LJ can't get through the gaps quick enough..

I dont think I did. But granted I am biased beacuse I hate the guy so much.

But I have seen this for a while now. Even when LDT was considered the greatest of all time () there were certain teams that could shut him down. I always felt that he was one of the few people that if you treated him like just another running back you could not only just stop him but make him cry like he always does.

Plus...his own back ups of recent years just look so much better than he does. And the fact that we see his back up as equally as we see him is a growing problem.

Seriously when will this end? When can I got through a single day without 5 hours be devoted to Farve and Rodgers. I just hate how they have to artificiality create all of these stories about him. I got it...he is a hall o fame lenged (a guy who I used to respect) but has a human he is a complete tool.

Fuck Farve. There is nothing there. He cried for 3 years then Green Bay actually grew some balls and said fuck off Brett your not going to hijack this team anymore then he went to a team that no one even cares about. And now he is acting like a completely pussy saying things like "oh when Rodgers has 18 great seson then he can call me." The guy just started his career be a man and wish him luck.

If you are going to report, report on how good Rodgers is doing, report on how he is managing games. But I really dont think anyone out side Jets fans give a flying fuck what happens to Brett.

Rant off.

Alright lets see here for FF. I am still really iffy on having Wes Welker or Roy Williams. I am have been trying to shop Williams and Harrison as a package deal for a Hine Ward level WR but havent got any bites.

Wes is going against the phins who suck in all reguards Roy is going against the 49ers but he is on the Lions. And you can never be sure what the hell is going on with the Lions.

I didnt get to draft for myself and I really got screwed in WRs.

As for RB I have Matt Forte who is going to get a lot of touches today but I also have Willi Parker and Bradon Jacobs.

Should I starte Willi Parker or Matt Forte? Parker seems obvious but he is going against a good defense.

If anything this loss should be something for the team as a whole to look over and learn on where improvements need to be done. I do want to see Matt Cassel do well. I will agree on that Matt needs to take some chances to Moss for instance. From what I've read Moss only had single coverage most of the game yet Cassel rarely threw to him. If Cassel could of gotten an deep ball or two to Moss yesterday then at least score wise the game might not look like a big blow out.

The Dome only got louder and louder upon each sack too. Vikes on offense looked very spotty during the first half. The second half was much better since Ferotte was starting to feel much more in sync with the rest of the team. If the Vikes can play as solid as they did during the second half against Carolina for the rest of the season then we could be on the verge of seeing one helluva Vikings team in the playoffs this year.

lol...the Lions are the one franchise I feel bad for.. they had the best running back in NFL history (arguably) and they could never get the players around him to make a good playoff run.. also it sucks to see them wallow in a league where you can go from worst to first in a matter of an off-season..

I am winning by 20 points in my FF league but he has Gates who already has a TD.

Hopefully they take the foot off the pedal and just run the ball the rest of the game. I cant still win as long as Gates stays under 100 yards and scores less than 3 TDs.

it feels good to be in first place.

I know it may not last for long but i dont care. 3-0 and a comback win against the raiders. and i may take back what i said about them. They had us till the 4th quarter.

My FF team got killed because Braylon Edwards' hands are made of pure marble and Earnest Graham didnt get a touch at all with griese throwing over 67 times.

Guys. I am being serious when I say this.

I dont think Farve is going to last the entire year. I think his streak my stand because they will start him and then bench him. But he has lost that legendary aura that made it so people wouldnt unload on him. Yeah he got sacked but no one really blasted him.

Now. People are fucking Farve up almost every play. I just dont think he has it to last the entire season.

I wouldnt call you crazy. I say unload as many Pats players as you can. With Cassell at the helm it might be fucking weeks before he gets in tune with the offense. You cant relay on that.

Though I will call your crazy as hell for trading him for busted up fucking Gates. Thats a horrid trade. Gates is already hurt and can be hurt again at anytime...he has also lost a good 3 or 4 steps and people are covering him easy. The game last night he was thrown to like 6 times and only caught 2 with jets defenders being all over him.

Only plus is that he is a like a number 2 red zone target. But overall I think that was a really bad trade.

On to me. I really need to find some more WR and quick. I also need a damn TE that will actually catch more than 1 pass a game.

Right now I am trying to make a trade for Larry Fitzgerald by trading Wes Welker, Roy Williams, Marvin Harrison. I think all 3 will be worthless this year and I hope I can snag a good WR while their stock is still up. Also someone dropped Chad Johnson...should I pick him up just beacuse?

I would say even with Gates being banged up, he still could end up having a better season than moss. If he gets closer to 100% anytime soon expect more balls thrown his way, especially with Chambers picking up the slack. I would say gates for the chargers is still the #1 option for the Chargers in the RZ when it comes to throwing the ball, with Chambers being a close #2.

I agree. But I feel that the appeal of Moss should of warranted someone with no doubts.

I am just saying that he probably could have gotten someone a lot more consistent than Gates when trading Moss. I also think that Gates will have a better season but I think he could have gotten a little more out of it.

I feel you though. I have Marvin on my team as well and actually I think I am just going to let the guy go. He has such a decreased role in the offense now its becoming a burden to have him.

If he couldnt go for broke with Clark being out I dont see him all of a sudden getting more looks now that Clark is back.

Also, dont plan on anyone actually trading for him, there are enough good to great WR that are doing well in the league to go around. Thats the thing about WR, you dont need the biggest name to be effective with them. Deseaon Jackson has been killing people for me.

I say if you dont have the room (like me) drop his ass and move on. At least get a more consistent player at the postion.

What? Roy Wiliams and Marvin Harrison wont do a damn thing this year. Having Bush will increase my already mighty point total by 25 even with his up and down play. Also you guys seem to forget that Marvin and Williams are completely up and down as well. And I guess I forgot to mention that just one of my starting WR has more points than all of them combined.

SLEEPERS BABY!!! ALL ABOUT THEM SLEEPERS!

I dont go by hope. Either your produce or you dont. Williams and Marvin havent and will not produce this year so having them is a waste. They haven't played once for me this year and I am 3 and 0 winning by at least 20 points each game.

I have matt forte, Willi Parker, Brandon Jacobs and Fred Taylor at RB. I am basically giving up Jacobs for Bush beacuse I wouldnt even play Harrison or Williams in the first place.

Pfft. Your talking to the FF king here. I have won the last 4 in a row. Hell I am undefeated right now winning by 20 points each game AND I DIDNT EVEN DRAFT MY OWN TEAM! Here is my advice you have to find out who is doing the best out of the FA in your league. Its not always about the big names. In fact big names mean jack shit its about who is producing whether its for one week then you drop them or for long term.

This is what a lot of people do wrong in FF. You have to look beyound just a big name and find people who are actually scoring points for you in your league. Dont get attached to people and let them string you along week to week while not doing anything. There are always guys in FA who are really good but never get picked up. Check and see how many yards and TD a person has.

Guys that I picked up from FA in my league after the draft (remeber I didnt draft myself)

Brandon Marshell (caught for 155 and 1 td)
Matt Forte (has scored 20 a game each and every game so far and 80% of the people didnt even know who he was in pre season)
Carolinas kicker (cant remember his name but he has the most points in my league so far)
Tony Shceffler (Broncos TE caught for 2 TD 2 weeks ago and is a big red zone target now for an offense that scores like 30 a game.)

(Thats why I dont care about Roy Williams and Marvin Harrison I dont care that they are number 2 guys...if they dont produce they are a waste because I have people who are producing right now they cant do anything sitting on the bench.)

Your RB core is fine and Fred Taylor is going to go off this week because they realize they can still win with the running game. Plus Gerrad is playing really bad right now so MJD and Taylor are going to get a heavy dose of runs trust me. Get rid of Ederrin james and pick up some like Chris Johnson or Matt Forte. Those guys are getting big yards and catching TD each week. Buckhealter is also going to be featured this week a lot and will be until Westbrook is back.

See if you can get a better defense than Dallas. Find one that is actually getting INT's sacks and TDs.

But DO NOT PICK UP MENNDENHALL! He will get killed this week vs the ravens. Dont be fooled. If you want pick him up and then trade him.

If you want pick him up and then trade him.

if marshall and forte were on the waiver wire after the draft then your league is whack

A little bit. We play for cash money so people get really attached to big names.

Me on the other hand...I would cut fucking Tom Brady if his ass was producing.

not too many rb's available.. Le'Ron McClain is still available.

I also had the carolina kicker but waived him this week to pick up a wr. The giants kicker though i think has outscored him.

and damn andre johnson is due a big game.. shame just a good receiver hasnt done anything all year

Burress needs to step up and stop acting like a little kid.

he has been stepping up ever since the 1st game of the season. He just needs to show some decency and atleast call the team and let them know he has "family" problems. Thats all the Giants were asking for, and he broke it. His fault for not pickup a tiny cellphone and speed dialing Jerry Reese or Tom Coughlin.

Great....Roscoe Parrish out 4-6 weeks. Wonder if they will put McGee back in KR or PR.

He did the same stuff with Pittsburgh.. the only difference was that Burress never stepped up for the big games like he is in NY.. in fact Burress had a bigger gaff than DeShean Jackson where the Steelers were playing the Titans (I think) and he caught a pass over the middle, diving, never got touched and proceeded to get up and spike the ball. A Titan picked the ball up and almost scored. Burress has always done stupid things.

I tried to find last week but cannot for the life of me find it. I really want to see that. If anyone knows where it can be seen, post up a link.

Well, I'm starting Rivers over Brees, and Jones-Drew over Westbrook this week. I don't know if I should put in Edwards in though. If I do, I would need to take out either Boldin, Jennings or D. Jackson. Any suggestions?

Soodmeg

Jennings. Take him out.

Jackson has hit a 100 2 out of the last 3 days and the Bears are 28th in pass defense they are sure to get burned at least 3 or four times.

Edwards over Jennings?

No way, Jennings is going over 100 yards every game, and Rodgers throws to him a ton so he is bound to get a few touchdowns one of these days. Not to mention he had one stolen from him by James Jones against the Lions.

Even though I think Braylon Edwards if finally have a good game (I'm starting him at W/R, because of byes and injuries), there is no reason to take out a proven WR to put him in.

Joey Harrington is a free agent... again. Poor guy is the definition of journeyman quarterback if there ever was one. He's like the Kenny Lofton of football.

Kenny Lofton was actually a decent MLB player though. Harrington is 3rd stringer at best.

He may become the next Rick Mirer. After he busted out (twice, once with the Seahawks then a second time when the Bears gave up a 1st round pick for him :wall:) he hung around the league for 12 years holding clipboards and collecting paychecks.

I'm reeeeeeally looking forward to the Vikings-Titans game tomorrow.
It should really give me (and everybody else) a good idea of how legit the Vikings are.
I legitimately think we can pull it off though.
