How does teh rewards catalogue look these days? I remember a long time ago there were all sorts of little neat thigns you could pick up for 50-200k.

So assuming you bought something in a Zellers or HBC family of stores with used both an HBC credit card and also the reward points card, every dollar you spend will net you 100 points (tho I'm not too sure about this calculation so don't quote me on this). Half that if you don't use one or another. So preordering the game IS worth it, but only if you collect points to begin with.

That's not with the rewards card, it's for the HBC credit card. It's not hard to get a rewards card, you could signup for one every time you went in if there was a discount :bouncy:
Also it's YMMV, but you may be able to use the 10% discount on electronics. I got my Minish Cap GBA pack with it, and I've seen others get stuff ;)

If I don't get something free, I ain't preording. I can't think of a big title that has sold out in the last 6 years, unless it came bundled with hardware.
