Possible Best buy trick.

I went to best buy the other day and picked up prince of persia for xbox but I did something and it worked.

1. The game was $20. I took it to the checkout and had the coupon from the gift card ($5 off) so it was $15.

2. Then I had the guy scan the $5 off xbox live software and it worked.

3. Total $10.80. 8)


So I assume this can work for any xbox software even if its only for download or gameplay through xbox live. So go try it. :wink:

This is probably YMMV since most coupons say NOT TO BE COMBINED WITH OTHER OFFERS

or just go to Toys R Us and pick it up for $10 ;)

Yeah, the coupons do say on the back "cannot be combined with any other coupon or offer", but if the cashier doesn't look at that, then it doesn't really make a difference.

This may work on midway treasures, stkotr, guility gear XX, overall on any xbox game that has xbox live enabled on it. Hey it doesnt hurt to try :wink:

That's pretty good. When I've tried to do a pricematch + ggc in the past it hasn't gone through the computer and they wouldn't override. If this goes though the system there's a decent chance the clerk won't know/care. I will definately give this a shot.

I tried to do the same thing with the XBL coupon plus GGC towards NFL 2K5 but the cashier only let me use one coupon. It's still definetly worth a shot though

The cashiers have been trying to give me a hard time too, with the Xbox Live Coupon. Just tell them to scan it, and if the computer lets you do it, then its official.

My cashier looks at the coupon and says, no, its only for starter kits. I responded with a "it says starter kits AND software. what do you think xbox software is?... its GAMES" Then she was like, POP is not an xbox live game. I pointed out to her that it says xbox live right on the front cover. So she tries to read the back of the game. Finally, I asked her to scan it, and if the system says its fine, it has to be fine. It went through, and I walked out with POP for $15. (I have been trying to get POP for a while, and its been sold out everywhere, including at all the TRU's near me).

So don't take no for an answer from the cashiers. Get them to at least scan it.

To think I got the pack ins for Xbox (Clone Wars/Tetris) and GameCube (Zelda Collection) last Christmas free because they didn't scan with a price.... HEH. Sometimes I really love glitches like that. If the computer scans it.... it MUST be right!

I have only used the reward zone coupons together I have never tryed anything like that. the place that will jump on double coupons the fastest is Blockbuster.
