Forward the mail to spoof@ebay.com (I think thats the addy), then delete it.. and DO NOT SEND ANY INFO!. It's a hoax, a scam, a trap, etc.

It's a scam.... forward the email to spoof@ebay.com and whatever you do, DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT enter any information into that site.

ha ha ha, that email really freaked you out huh? Ebay doesnt address you by email address. They address you by your user name.

Trust us.. no matter how real it looks, DO NOT SEND THE INFO. It is a hoax, pure and simple.

Ebay is the source of many of the scam and spoof email I recieve. My favorite was the offers for: "1 2 Rare Xboxes, Mountain Dew and Halo Limited edition, like the one you bid on now, but only $300. Respond promptly now please. Me not scam. Have credit card ready. Your Welcom."

Tell ya what, I'd almost guarantee that gets alot of people. Everyone wants a deal and they'll do whatever they can to get it.

It wouldn't have been so funny if it weren't for the fact that I got two emails just like that in a 5 minute time frame. I had a little fun and CC:'d both people for a few days, causing them to bid war each other. I even got one down to $175. Funny how greed works. Needless to say, the last emails I received from them included something like: "I f**ked you mother and sister!!"
Ahh.... life!
