I am trying to find a decent camera for under a 100 bucks. So far I've found this one. Its an 8.3 MP Fujifilm
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6537101
it looks pretty good but does anyone know of a better deal, preferably in-store.

I sorta had this question.
I'm intrested in that camera tho. I wonder if Fuji is better then Samsung...

If I was being forced to choose I guess the Fuji would be the better bet but honestly at this price point you are pretty much getting the same camera almost regardless of manufacturer. You need to go to a higher price point to start getting better features. Just my 2 cents. I did see that big lots had a 7MP Panasonice Lumix which had a really nice optical zoom and I believe a Zeiss lens for $120 the other day

It's over $100, but for $150 the Canon A570 is a fantastic value. It has image stabilization, good quality and 4x zoom.

I bought it right now :/
The Digital Zoom is garbage. Can barley see the faces. Camera is very light.

yeah it seemed like a good deal. good some cag got it :D
i dunno too much about non-dslr cameras tbh, but for 100$ and 12mp can't go wrong imo.

I talked to a professional photographer, he told me that MP doesn't really mean better pictures.
I don't like Kodaks, the one's I've tested, they seem too dark.

I thought the general consensus was that Kodak cameras are terrible. Woot is a good place to look for cheap cameras though. I got a samsung S1070 for around the same price from them. I recommend it for the price (i think it was like 110 or something, but not too much more.
If you don't need the camera right now, just keep a look out on woot. They tend to offer a camera about once a week.

Cnet gave it 7.
I've seen cameras for 70-90 that get more then 7.

i went with a sony cybershot dsc-s700 7.2mp uses pro duo mem stick. iso is 1k. BB has them onsale once and a while for 119.99- pretty good camera (upgraded from an old canon powershot 3.2 mp). it's small, and has some weight to it with a metal housing, large screen on back 3x potical zoom, and the lenses they use (unless they chabged them) are pretty damn good. no complaints on this one, and just 20 bucks over what yer looking for. My exp with fuji digital hasn't been all that great, and kodak sucks- my mother has nothing but problems with her kodak, and a friend of mine hates her's

Yeah that's what I was thinking, and honestly I don't plan to take professional photos. I just want an upgrade from my old kodak and my old crappy HP Photosmart.

This camera is on clearance at my Target for $104.98 (maybe cheaper). They also have a DSC-W55 for $124.98. As far as I can tell, it's pretty much the same camera with a lithium ion battery and a slightly higher ISO rating.
Most Targets will give you 30% off the clearance price if you buy the display, but they can't sell the display before they sell the boxed cameras. Prices are of course YMMV.

I've heard that it sometimes has problems with picture quality. Has that been an issue for you?
