Now if only the WWE would do something about that miserable excuse of a game they released last year.

So... he sent the console in for repair and they cleaned signatures off of it? Or did they send a refurb?

Either way, that's cool of WWE. I don't know if they were on tour as much when I watched religiously, but last I remember they do everything live and are always somewhere new.

Wait, this happened on two separate occasions? Way to go, MS.

Yeah but there's no indication that this 9 year old kid (or his parents more likely) knew to arrange for MS to put new guts in his signed shell. Still, nice to see things are getting taken care of.

Seriously, who takes their fucking 360 around to have people autograph it?

With all that moving around, no wonder it broke.

They shouldn't fix anything. MS says that the console will be wiped down, so they give a warning. The workers HAVE to wipe the console off with alcohol. I don't feel sorry at all for the kid, he needs to suck it up. Before you send the 360 in, they say not to have any writing or anything on it. That means don't have anything on it.

Plus why get a 360 signed by wrestlers?

Yeah that would look really good on the part of MS. The kid was 9 years old. It's bad enough they have a faulty system but could you imagine the shit they would take for this? It's the least they could do seeing that they sell POS for $400.

It would've been better if they had used his broken 360 and beat Randy Orton in the face with it. That or use the power brick as a mace.

Good for the kid

not so much Microsoft, but hey...there not really to blame w/o it being forementioned

Honestly, I really don't think WWE would care about this kid if Microsoft didn't contact them.

Actually I've seen many people have MLG pros sign their consoles also. Plus if you went to an industry event (like the kid that had all the Bungie signatures) I can sort of understand.

But I agree with you. If you're going to get signatures on your 360, HAVE THEM SIGN THE BOX AND NOT THE CONSOLE!

Since when are they putting in the time and effort to clean, presumably, permanent ink from a console prior to repair?

And if they're not, if they're shipping out a refurb then what I don't understand is, wouldn't it be easier for MS to send Jethro into the warehouse to retrieve the signed console? With package tracking they would know when the console came in. Wouldn't that be easier than to arrange for a multi-billion dollar touring company to make a special stop (I'm sure they're not going out of their way, but whatever) to re-sign this kids system?

Of course, I picture the X360 graveyard to resemble the end-scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, with that old guy pushing a crate full of RRODed X360s through a massive warehouse full of them.

MS: "We have top men working on it right now."
Gamers: "Who?"
MS: "Top. Men."
