Although I don't like generalization like this I have to admit that no I don't know anyone with dreadlocks who doesnt smoke.

I've never bought any myself, though on a handful of occasions I've tried it when offered.
People are often surprised or disappointed when I tell them I don't know any weed sellers/am not a seller myself though.:roll:
Besides myself, I do know a few others with dreads that do not smoke weed at all. Myth = busted.

I wanted to grow out dreadlocks and dye them blue a few years back (and I don't smoke weed).

Luckily, I saw (and continue to see) a couple white dudes with dreads every now and then on campus, and it makes me realize that I made a damned good decision to not do it.

I knew a tall pale white guy with really long dreads who was very anti-drug. He was also very into electronic music and went to a lot of raves, but never took E. He was in my Japanese class, and now lives in Japan. Strange fellow, really.

Actually this post was born out of seeing a couple guys at work with dreads, which make it clear they are pot heads. A discussion sparked up about how it seems to be that all white people with dreads are pot heads. We asked everyone at work if they knew anyone with dreads that didn't smoke pot, and nobody did.

That and I just wanted to attempt to lighten up this forum a little bit. It's clear, though, there are a select few that are so wound up that they will find offense and reason for ridicule in anything.

I assume you think that by braids I was refering to pigtails or something to that extent.

Most ignorant statement i've heard all day.

Usually it's just dirty people that have dirty dreads and even if their hair wasn't dreaded it would still be dirty.

I and several other people i know (including my wife) have dreadlocks and keep them clean. I wash mine about every other day.

Yes it seems like most people with dreads smoke pot, but that does not make them stoners, potheads, etc. Plenty of other people smoke too and manage to function normally in society.
