There was a thread a few months on CAG but I can't seem to find it.

Just lost my sunglasses, so:

I am looking for some classic 80's (heck, maybe even the 50's) shades that are not wrap around type or extreme in any fashion. i want to say ray-bans (?).

classic shades, like out of risky business.

any suggestions on where to find on the cheap, or even not on the cheap.

I'm going out on a limb here, but maybe try a drug store or a truck-stop/gas station. Usually there's one of those spinning racks full of cheapo sunglasses at these places.

Do you have an H&M store near you? http://www.hm.com They have some classic-looking sunglasses that sell for around $6-8, metal and plastic. Their selection isn't robust; they have around 10 styles to choose from. But it's hard to beat their prices especially when their quality is better than most of those sunglasses carts in the mall.

I also recommend Nordstrom Rack if you have one near you. http://about.nordstrom.com/MapPoint/ I'm not sure if they'll have the style you're looking for, but they always have high-quality sunglasses for $15-25. The tags always make sure to remind you of your incredible savings since the products originally retailed for $100-300 at the regular Nordstrom stores but I think those prices were ridiculous anyway.

go to any military surplus store and buy aviator glasses. American Optics are the best.
