FF IV ds.
FES
VP2
Xeno 1 2 & 3
GoW 1 & 2
FFX
FFXII

I have plenty of jrpgs in my backlog, not to mention the (intermission action games) To be spending $16 on a documented failure.

HOWEVER...
good deal, if it were at the most a 10 months old game

My loca Toys 'R' Us has tons of these on clearance for $20 with the extra 20% off. If you can find it that would basically come out the same.

I'm surprised how much this game dropped, but I only paid $25 for it when it first came out anyway.

I was about to pick this up until I realized that I already own it. I have way too many DS games that I never even started...

I so wanna get in on this deal, but I have a MASSIVE backlog of games that I still need to play, and I don't want to add to that already huge list of games.
Great deal though! ;)

Excellent deal if i didn't already own it. And amazingly I can keep track of what I own although I don't play like half my games..

Shoulda waited on buying my copy. It's still sitting sealed in my drawer waiting for when I have enough time to play video games. At least I got it on sale for $23 a few months ago, a good price at the time.

Me too! haha. I think I got about halfway through this game before moving onto something else. 16$ is a good price for the game though, I think I paid 25$ for it when it came out. (:

I tend to be a thread-killer lately, but for those thinking about picking this up, keep in mind that you can only save at the overworld map, and not in the dungeons. This can be a problem because some of the dungeons are very long and difficult. There is a quicksave option, but if you're character happens to die halfway through a long dungeon, you have to start over from the beginning. For those who don't care about the save option, it's a good deal, even if you don't have prime since you can problem find something else in the $10 range to get free shipping.

I was going to buy it since it looks interesting but FES and GTA IV are around the corner and I don't to have a backlog.

I am surprised by how long this game has been at over $20.
I thought only Nintendo first-party games take that long to drop in price.

That's actually the reason I never finished it myself. I lost to the final boss battle of the game. And of course that meant that I'd have to do the entire final dungeon over.

That was about a year ago, and I haven't touched it since.

Hmm. Not a bad price, certainly, but I'd rather wait for it to be ~$14 - $15 seeing as how I don't usually care for RPG's.

I bought this at $40 when it came out and enjoyed it...never could finish the last dungeon/boss fight though. This game isn't for everyone, but this is a really good price for those who are interested.

Yeah, I'm a big FF fan, but the difficulty is keeping me away from this game.

I didn't find it difficult at all. The only time I wiped out was once in the extra dungeon.

Don't care about GTA4, and wanted a new DS game for a short weekend trip in a few weeks. I'm biting. Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Won't be in stock until April 18th, though.

Coming up the same here. DotD over?

EDIT: My order from this morning is still at $16.99. Maybe it was selling too well? I'm new to the Amazon deal thing.

Amazon deals often come back in stock later in the day.

However, even if it does, you might want to think twice. It's hard to resist "Final Fantasy" and I know I'm pre-wired to like anything with the title "Final Fantasy III"...

...but...

...it's just not very good. Story and characterization are minimal. The jobs are fun, but combat is mostly tedious. You have to grind, but once you do, most enemies are pushovers and most fights play out exactly the same. The save system is irritating and adds the only difficulty, and then only because it turns the ~1hour dungeons into endurance contests.

I wouldn't say it's really hard -- but it's severely lacking in fun and those extra things that make Final Fantasy worthwhile. It's got the look and feel, but it's lacking the substance and the soul.

And there are still lots of you probably going "Final Fantasy!" "16.99!" "Can't resist".

Oh well.

I'm not a hardcore RPG nut, and I loved this game. Probably my favorite on DS. To each his own.

All of the GBA FF remakes were made too easy. So this one being challenging, even if it is a grind should be a good thing.

Same here. The job system is the best in any FF game, with the exception of Tactics.

Sounds like a feature. I look for harsh death penalties in games. :)
