You can already get Crisis Core for 50% off? Doesn't make me feel as bad that the day after the 25% of used PSP games coupon expired a Crisis Core magically showed up on the shelf at GS.

Seriously? I just bought The War of the Lions for $25 last week. I mean, I got it 35% off, but still, that's not 50% off. I could have saved, well, like $3. Okay, I don't regret my decision so much anymore.

i belive it when i see it.... no reason to drop these new games by 1/2

maybe buy 1 get 1 at 1/2 off but i would be shocked if it really says this in the ad next week....

though i might grab Rondo of Swords next week when it comes out and try to price match it next sunday (keeping it sealed of course)

BUT Then again i would be shocked if TRU even carries these games

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, guys, but the add reads "50% off any one of these role-playing games when you buy Crisis Core FF VII". So you HAVE to get Crisis Core (at $39.99) to get Tactics, Baroque, KH II, DQMonsters OR Rondo of Swords at 50% off... a minimum investment of $55 or maximum of $60, which really is still not bad for two quality RPGs... If you do decide to get this, ask the cashier for your 'passport to savings' coupon, which will take $5 off your $25+ purchase.

def YMMV - depends on mgr or cashier @ BB & CC - when GHIII wii was on sale @ TRU for $65 - i bot them first @ BB and CC @ $90 - and then went back into the store to price match with the ad in hand. did not have an issue with either. all they wanted to see was the ad. CC even asked to keep the ad. both mgrs just matched the px and CC (or was it BB?) even gave me the extra 10% off.

of course, there is a lot to be said about being a nice person about it and being able to walk away and return the item if they won't PM.

though so....thanks for clearing that up.

a way to maybe get around it

Put FF cc up on ebay for 35 new (even if they sell for that high) get the passport coupon tht would knock CC back to free and then get your 1/2 price game

but you would still be out all of that cash until your CC sells

"Passport to Savings" coupons should work like any other TRU coupon. That is, video games are allowed. It just excludes video game hardware along with the other usual exclusions (diapers, formula, gift cards, BPPs).

Edit: I retract this. The new one does exclude video game software as others have said. Sorry.

Was going to go for this deal, but after thinking about it, not so hot. Crisis Core and FFT would be $32 a piece after tax, and that's just the same price it is shipped on Ebay for used copies or used at GS with Edge.

I'm no rush for either game, and I certainly don't need both at once, so I guess I'll just hold off. A real shame it wasn't 50% off both Crisis Core and FFT :(

I went ahead and decided to go through TRU online.com. Came to under $70....I figured I would get Crisis Core anyway (although was going to wait until the April 25th sale of Game Crazy when the game will be sold for $24.99). Got "Rondo of Swords" because the reviews are much more promising than Baroque (although I will still get this game since I'm an Atlus crazy fan). Already have/beaten FF: Tactics and I don't know about that version of DQ though.

Also, another reason for going online is shipping was only $3.99 and sales tax was only around $2. Would save me money in California sales tax and gas in the long run to order it online.

Just a heads up. I checked 2 TRUs this morning and they had signs up announcing that when you buy 1 game ($10 and up), you get $10 off on a 2nd game. This applies to Wii, 360, PS3 and PS2 games only.

This was first posted in the TRU clearance thread (not by me) and has been confirmed by others as well. This works best with clearance games as I picked up Dead Rising and CoD3 Wii for $24.xx after taxes.

Picked up few 360 Games today at TRU. Buy any 2 Wii, 360, PS3 and PS2 and Save $10.

Shadow Run $7.50
Enchanted Arms $16

Fear $7.50
Samurai Warriors $16

Total under $51.56 after taxes. Sadly, they don't have $5 off coupon or 20% off coupon around :( Still good deal. Also, I used old receipt return FEAR copy and get full amount $17.19 back :)

Just curious - CAGs getting the Wii they wanted this morning? Hope so.

Yep, got one. Only had to get there 10 min. before opening so it would appear that the shortages (or demand is decreasing) are near the end. I think our store had 40 or so.

Can you get the $10 discount more than once per transaction? If I was going to buy 4 games for example, could I get $20 off or does it have to be done seperatly? And it stacks with the 20% off on clearance, correct?

It does work with $10 discount on same transaction, as long as you have games that are multiples of 2 and are priced over a $10 value then it will take $20 off if you buy 4 games. And yes it does stack with the extra 20% off on clearance items.

Well yesterday I went to TRU and bought FFVII:CC and FFT I used my giftcard from mario galaxy and a coupon so it all came to 27 or so for the two games..

I played a little of the tactic game it's fun so far and I still need to beat the FFVII:CC import I got before playing the english one anyways Thanks for posting this deal I've been waiting for a nice deal on those two psp games.

Is the PS2 or Wii version of Baroque better?

Both are the same game but the Wii has better graphic support and according to some, you can use the wiimote. But for those who played both, they say that they are technically the same. I bought Crisis Core and did the 50% off for "Rondo of Swords" since the reviews were much better for that game. But I'll pick up "Baroque" since I tend to buy anything Atlus.
