Apparently it was supposed to be released the 15th, but it changed to the 22nd, but has anyone seen an accidental release in the wild? The place I work at we got the shipment but it won't scan through :(.

Actually it was always scheduled for the 22nd, some stores get releases a week early but are not allowed to sell them until the day of release or face very big penalties.

play-asia.com has it too for pre-order and I think amazon.com as well. I pre-ordered already from ebgames ( in store) because I missed out on the original Persona 3 and I don't want to miss out again on this FES edition.

From US, takes about a week, it comes to 31.95 shipped. Plus you don't have to deal with the ugly bilingual covers/manuals heh.
Why would you order FES on the internet? Its not like stores like Walmart are going to run out of copies.
Also, according to resellerratings Estarland has a below 5 average.
I've ordered from them about 10 times and haven't had a single problem. They also have a pretty good rep here on CAG, especially since the owner posts here.

I dunno why you guys don't just preorder at EB. Horrible store, I know, but they have it for the US price at least, and no shipping charges.
It helps that my EB is run by real gamers who actually know us. They know better than to seriously ask if I want a "Game Guarantee". :P
Unfortunately they're not taking Etrian Odyssey 2 preorders yet.

well good for you. I want to throw up every time I set foot in there. never heard clerks use the F bomb so often, right in front of moms getting Pokemon games for their kids. I've been across Canada and it's been my experience wherever I've been. anyway... getting off topic here.

You don't need the original, it's basically persona 3 with all the extra content

Amazon.com doesn't ship to Canada and Amazon.ca doesn't even seem to have Persona 3 FES listed

I didn't know that Amazon doesn't ship to Canada. That totally sucks :( For being our "Friends to the North" we sure find plenty of ways to screw you guys over. Now I'm beginning to understand why we have the reputation that we do in the world over. Just remember guys, Goomba is on your side =) I have no problem ordering things for Canadians and shipping to you. I just ask that you throw in a buck or two for me for shipping/gas/convenience fee that's all ^_^ I'm probably a MUCH faster shipper than most of those impersonal websites are anyway :)

Amazon.com technically ships some games to Canada, however the shipping fee is minimum 24$ USD (even for a single game), despite them actually shipping your items from their Canadian warehouse.

Poiuiu, that is outrageous that they charge that much! Well if any Canadians want to take me up on my offer, just let me know what games you're interested in :) If I can get them on Amazon I'll happily order them for you (I have Amazon Prime so I get most items in two days) and ship them out to you. Bubble mailers cost me about a buck and shipping is usually around $2.50 or so. Throw in an extra dollar for running off to the post office, printing the customs forms, etc. and I'll be a happy Goomba.
The $1.00 I make from the transaction will easily be more than most of my eBay sales lately ^_^ and it'll be helping us both out =P That's what we call win-win all around.
Man, Goomba you are too nice :) . I may have to take you up on that offer some time. Right now though I am going to jump on the RE4 you have in your eBay. \\:D/

You'd be surprised what Wal Mart stocks up, always check your local Wal Mart. They may be an unstoppable juggernaut of evil, but they do stock up on some strange stuff.

Walmart may not have stocked P3, but if what some says here is true and Futureshop is going to sell Fes, then it's pretty likely that Walmart will carry it as well.
They carried Wild Arms 5 afterall.

It's true that Wal-Mart carries some random stuff. Occasionally I'll run across some rare or hard to find game there (and sometimes in the Bargain Bin) but it's so YMMV it's not even funny. It's usually my last resort, but I have found some great deals from time to time.
Remember if any of you want me to order you a copy of Persona 3 FES let me know :) I'm going to be putting in my order today or tomorrow.

Eeer I guess you're asking me (I think I'm the only one who disclosed where he works, eeeep!)? We'll probly get very few copies in...
We got about a dozen Rachet and Clank Size Matters for the PS2 and it's a big franchise, on the other hand we only got I think three copies of Silent Hill Origins for the PS2 (both ports) so I'd be set to say Futureshop'll get it a few days late (it always happens) and very few copies.

Whoops sorry I'm in the mindset of other releases we've gotten (Origins came in a week late) ~_~ my bad (if it's not a big name in mainstream the games usually come in late, this is true for DVDs and music CDs as well). During my last shift we had six come in, and a few will most likely be bought by employees first day release.
And on the MGS:TEC I can try and put an order in, but it'll have to be when the new service OS kicks in, the one we use now fucks up, a lot.

Yeah that's no problem, and management probly won't let employees buy 'em all (there's only like three-four people who know what Persona is anyway ~_~), and no rush on coming in on opening time, we don't get too many people coming in Tuesdays (actually, Monday to Thursdays are dead days, we sit around and play Time Crisis on the PS3), so come in at your leisure. My next shift is Thursday so I'll make note on who's buying and see if I can stash away a copy.
Also going to the gym so I won't respond for a few hours, just PM me your info (msn or whatever) and we'll see what we can work out (I'm also in the midst of uni exams so if I don't respond or come online don't fret).
