i had an ATI card when i first got the game and i somehow got them free, cant remember how though (man, this game is starting to get old, not to say it bad in any way though)
nVidia AND ATI users get HL2: Death Match and Lost Coast free.

These prices are alright but if you've waited this long to play HL2, might just want to wait for the Orange Box to come on another sale for $30-$40 (it was $35 on Amazon DotD a week back).
If someone doesn't know the Orange Box comes with Half Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 for $50 retail. Odds are if you want Episode 1 you'll also want Episode 2 which goes for $30 by itself on the Steam Store.

Yeah, which is a ridiculous price. Ep2 is the only thing left in the Half-life series that I don't have, and I'm not going to pay $30 for it. Neither am I going to re-buy games that I already have.

Yeah. I ended up giving away my HL2 and E1 from my Orange Box to a friend, but then again, I only paid $40 for HL2 and $8 for E1 by buying from B&M stores on launch days. Steam is such a gank. B&M FTW!

that half life 2 + ep1 pack is ridiculous.
If half life 2 now sells for $10 by itself, that pack can't be worth it unless Ep. 1 costs $30 by itself. No one plays deathmatch and lost coast is just a tech demo to show off the dynamic lighting and such.
