Yeah I thought we did too... But then I added the numbers up and there's a huge discrepancy or awkwardness to the way you setup the $50 extra. It looks as if you added it to the total cost of the games instead of taking it off the total cost of the games and say if you pay an extra $50 you can get your $50 back.

It probably is calculate right, I'm just reading it wrong because it seems like you did what I think you did above.

I wasn't able to get enough copies for everyone (I sent them out in the order I received them) so if they are not getting more in stock in a week or so I will have to refund you for that title. Oh I know what your saying, that's just not how Im reading the invoice (as I said, it's probably calculated right... I think it's the way you formatted it that's confusing.

By the way, I'm just trying to provide constructive criticism why the way this is layed out is a little confusing. Unless, there is something wrong here... Im also trying to figure how much I additionally owe.

Lets say my invoice totals $90 with simply just the games (that's what I get approx. when I add all the prices together)

Now, I paid about $15 (again I'm just rounding numbers) towards the total purchase. Thus, there would be $75. So, what I think your doing (correct me if I'm wrong) is adding the additional $40 to that $75 and then subtracting it right away for whatever reason. This makes it confusing to look at to customers (especially me).

What you should do, is take the $75 and then subtract the $40 from it making it $35. This would be my balance due. However, you would make a note at the bottom of the invoice like you've done saying if you want to be able to refund your credit card and use debit card transaction to save 6% of this payment, you are able. You will just have to pay an additional $40.

Therefore, right under the balance due, you would put (i guess) "Balance Due /w Credit Card Refund". You would say how much you need to pay to get the credit card refund.

Anyway... If you do calculate it (as I said, it's probably just a confusing way you layed out the invoice):

So, the total I still owe you use $13.21 and then I can get that $50 back. Which, by the way, could I get it refunded now with I wait for the $13.21 to finish? I kind of don't want it on my credit card bill because it'll just provide a headache.

Anyway, therefore... I under drew $13.21 from my account. According to your invoice from what I see, it says I owe you

Balance Due: $81.17

it should say (before you take into consideration the 57.96 I sent you) 71.17. Everyway I've calculated it... the price seems $10 off.

...You can see why I'm a little confused.

It's one of the lighter music artists i've enjoyed, and I kind of like free postery stuff to hang around so the lithograph print I am interested in getting (need to decorate the walls of my game room and gaming posters are expensive)... so, im interested in donating $100. Unless he reaches his goal, kickstarter will not charge your account it's just there to be on hand... and since Im canadian... I can't enter unless I want to pay an extra like 5% and then I dont get some of the bonus' because I don't join through kickstarter.

Telepathy, you definitely would save money to do like last time and just order a few things to ship together. The reasoning is that heavier items get cheaper and cheaper with the more weight (as stupid as it is). So bundling items instead of shipping separately will almost always be less than individual shipping charges. That's so cool about Tales of the Abyss/Destiny. Nice!

game_fanatic, you can use USPS.com to calculate rough estimates of shipping costs. Ikea items tend to be quite heavy though if they are anything substantial, so it could easily negate any savings. Still check it out on USPS.com where the "Calculate Shipping" section is.

Just for fun. Yesterday, on the train ride to New York City I did some simple animations on my DSi. The free animation program they have (Flipnote) is incredible. For anyone that has a DSi...go get it NOW! I exported them as animated GIFs to my SD Card. I can play them also on the Flipnote Hatena website (which you can upload to wirelessly from within the program on the DSi), but I can't post them on the forum like that so it won't really help here ^_^ Enjoy these silly little drawings:

It's very quick I know, but I did it in like 5 minutes or so and was a good learning exercise for me :) Please excuse the simple character design lol. If it's ONLY $10, that'd be sweet... I was actually thinking it'd be like $30... If I can get it for under $200 USD... I save SOOO much money. It's about $275 in canada.

Rogan, it's funny that you ask because another CAG just asked the same question. In nearly all cases it's just weight. Unless the item is REALLY big and requires special handling, weight almost always prevails. I'm pretty sure that it's less than 2-3 pounds shipped right? If not, let me know and I'll give you a more accurate shipping idea. Thanks!

About the whole porn thing. DO NOT take orders for porn from Canadians, ever. Porn sold up in Canada needs to be approved by some porn regulatory body or some nonsense. If customs spots any coming up they seize it, and probably throw it out. That's not the worst part, your name/address gets flagged. So most if not all your packages getting sent up here would be held up in customs and cut open :cold:

While I'm sure there are plenty of us Canucks that wanna see porn, I'm also sure most of us are smart enough to know better than to order it from out of country :lol:

** IMPORTANT GFC UPDATE **

Good news and great news guys. As you know, in the last few weeks GFC has really been growing exponentially. We have had a flood of new customers and orders coming in, and doing this all by myself has been busy to say the least. The great news is that I am officially hiring my wife, LanLan, to help me with invoicing and such. I assume height means width. Could you happen to tell me the depth of it quickly? The thing about the macbook air is that it is EXTREMELY thin.

Wait, if it's designed for the macbook air... Those dimensions don't even fit the macbook since the macbook is a 13.3" screen... Could I happen to get a picture? This sounds a little like they shipped the wrong sleeve or something weird if that's the case (or atleast the wrong pamphlet)

If I could get the depth of the inner pouch, that would determine if it actually does fit for me. It may be hard to measure though...

The last thing I want is to have the sleeve arrive and it is unable to be used at all by me.

The macbook air has a .75" depth while my laptop is 1.5"... So, you can see the potential problem.

Rogan, I just double checked and yes it's the exact one you ordered in the photo. 3 Sleeve and all that, triple zipper black and looks identical to picture.

The packaging just says "Apple MacBook Air" but it's not made by HP. Rather they are saying this case is perfect for an HP computer I assume.

The depth looks to be roughly an inch or so which means it would fit an air, though it may expand once you put your actual laptop in it. If they sell it with the HP Pavillion name, I assume it will fit your laptop. Also, the MacBook air is 12.8" diagonal and this case is nearly 15" so it would fit the Air just for the record.

Without having your laptop here it's hard to say, but I think it should fit if they sell it like that.

Clearly, the depth is really what I'm worried about. I know the rest will fit (unless the zipper doesn't wanna close since I'm pushing a quarter inch difference with my 9 cell battery).

I want a tight depth, but man... I'm am exactly double the three quarter inch thickness of the MacBook Air.

I almost wanna ask if you could try to put some DVD's and/or CD to try and mock the depth of the sleeve, but that would involve opening it (assuming it's shrink wrapped) since 2 DVD's and 1 CD is pretty close to 1.5" depth (If you have any out of your own personals you wouldn't mind using... since you'd have to use about 6 dvd's and 6 cd's to fully fill the sleeve so it doesn't stretch triangularly very much).

I've had very very misleading sellers over the internet, and these products arn't directly from amazon, so it's a possibility in my head that they were simply assuming, and with their huge selection, no one bought that one specifically since 12.1" laptops are a little on the rarer side.

Most either use netbooks or 15.4" right now.

I actually have a very nice camera but took rather quick and unprofessional shots haha. I have a Canon Rebel XSi (Digital SLR) as well as a point-and-shoot that I use for most product photos (though the battery is dead right now, have to charge it).

As for the zippers, yeah I'm not sure why you need three either but it looks kind of cool. The front one is unzippered slightly yes and the top one is zippered. The third pouch is actually a Velcro pouch in the middle (no zipper) which I guess is used for quicker access or whatever. Not a bad little sleeve though. I quite like it.

The sleeve looks sleeker than the pictures on amazon made it look. It'll be nice thing to tote around my 3 grand tablet in...

Heh, you have a similar camera setup that I do. Although, I am wanting that Sanyo Xacti I linked to earlier (Just waiting to see how much I have left over when school starts) for my green screen special effects projects and because it's the only camera that shoots in 720p while also doubling as a 10 megapixel camera with no noise in the pictures (and DECENT low light video capabilities). The dual-camera-ness of it is pretty sweet.

Yeah seriously, the Xacti is incredibly awesome. I still use my 7.1 Megapixel Digicam for video (takes great 640x480) but for higher quality I use my (now ten years old...wow) miniDV camera that I bought back in 1999. Sure, it uses tapes, but still takes great video. Not HD by any means but a lot better than the cameras I had as a kid :) Besides, I don't really need HD in all honesty. I can take great stills and decent video and that's enough. Some day I'll get a fancy camera for video when they come down in price further.

Right now my favorite toy is my Wacom Cintiq (drawing tablet with LCD screen). I love that thing to bits and one day I will create nice animations on it...when I'm not bogged down with so much work ^_^

I just like the idea of having less and/or smaller gadgets to carry arround. If there is ever a GOOD phone that has the capabilities with the Xacti, but with an iPhone like thing... That'd be amazingly perfect since I use them all pretty frequently, and like how most people are a photoshop afficiando and enjoy taking pictures, I like working with special effects, green screens and videos. I would also get a gorilla pod with it which can allegedly stick to anything while holding a camcorder or phone.

That's the other thing I want... an iPhone, but I'm not about to switch my current carrier for Rogers since I quite like my $25 bill for unlimited texting. To get what I want out of an iPhone, it'd just me $25 for base plan + $15 for the data plan + $5 or so for the texting + $10 for the voicemail/call display + $7 for their b.s. service charge.

I wish the Sony PSP had the phone capabilities, a touch screen, and a second analog nub -- then it could justify it's price tag even at $300. I would so pay for it too.

To be able to access the PSN, my email, the internet, have a touch screen for typing and have a slide out gamepad? You know how strong of a competitor that'd be? It'd be an awkward phone (look wierd), but even if it's a plug in mic like how the PSP uses skype... IT'd still be awesome. I don't overly care for looks.

Asides from that, unless you can find me a cheap shadow of destiny and complete fatal frame series bundle (or the whole series seperately for cheap)... looks like I'm done until a good deals comes along (IE: For Resident Evil 5 -- WHY DO CAPCOM GAMES NEVER PRICE DROP???) because those two series listed previously are all I have left that I want from last gen asides from Ico which I'm not paying anything more than $25 for. I can finally put the money towards my drumset and guitars... yay.

telepathy, honestly eBay is one of the options I don't recommend you order by yourself. Simply because many sellers will not ship to addresses different than your Paypal info (especially different country...sends a red flag), but also because if you need to return it for whatever reason it gets more complicated. I still recommend you just contact me to do the eBay items.

If you do INSIST on ordering them yourself you will have to convince the eBay buyers to ship to me, which some will outright refuse. If you do this though, please consider using my eBay affiliate links on my page which will generate a little extra income for GFC :) Thanks.

I just noticed that there's a service called Borderlinx that's similar to what Goomba does and even with the free registration (normally $30) through Visa perks and 15% savings on shipping for the rest of this year it's a huge rip off. I have a question about the Street Fighter fightpad; were you able to choose which character to get or did they just make the decision for you? Gombay, I had actually Emailed you twice about the choice of characters and I never heard back from you. I also sent an Email telling you that the controller was in and that it shipped out. Maybe your Email inbox is blocking me or sending my messages to junk mail?

The website said it was random selection but that if you wanted another character you could request it (didn't say you'd get it necessarily but it said they took requests). The thing is, the page you sent me on Amazon was for the "Multiple Designs" which was cheaper than the individual character listings (for say Ryu or Akuma or others), so that's probably why it was slightly cheaper. In any case I'm sorry :( I hope your friend likes the controller in any case, it's a great pad. If he wants to order a different character specifically I'd recommend using eBay or something where you get an actual photo of the item, or using Amazon with a specific character controller.

** IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR GFC **

Hey guys, as you may or may not know, my wife and I are looking to buy our very first house right now. We have to act quick in order to take advantage of a USA Stimulus package that gives $8000 tax credit (next year, not this year) for new home buyers that close on their houses before December 1st, 2009. Having a house will be a huge help as it will allow us to have more room (our apartment now is quite small), more space for running the business and of course more options to update it and change it around as we see fit. Apartments are very limiting and this December they are taking away our free heat and hot water, so we have to move regardless of whether we find a home or not.

We found a house that we want, but in order to get it we'll need a lot more money for the down payment and fees associated with buying it. For this reason, we are selling over 200 games THIS WEEK through two ways: dv8Mad's ULTIMATE Lowball Sale (my items will not be marked as mine, but many of them are) and on eBay (I will be listing these items on my own personal lowball 2.0 sale). If there are any games you are interested in please feel free to bid on them.

Also, thanks so much for your ongoing support. Little by little we're making GFC a real strong company and before you know it we may not be so little ^_^ Even if we ever do grow big enough, we will always be 100% faithful to you our customers and I have no intention of changing how I do business. It's all good gsrce, it's like this. I have three levels of items really:

1) Lowball items (Items I NEED to sell that are either old stock, going out of style or just sitting around and not getting more valuable). When I first started my eBay business I would go out and buy a TON of games hoping for them to sell fast or go up in value (they didn't). Now that I have GFC I'm shifting away from that way of selling, but it's still a while away before I sell off the hundreds of old games.

2) Items that are still old stock but hold some more value. These are the ones that I'm selling on eBay now because I need some fast cash. I also have a TON of Nintendo DS systems, an Xbox 360 Pro brand new, A Japanese Wii (like new), A Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid PS3 pack (with the Gunmetal PS3 system and DS3) as well as 2 Ace Combat flight sticks for Xbox 360. These are the types of items I will be selling on eBay (haven't even come close to listing what I have, we just started today though).

3) The final items are the ones that have appreciated in value and are pretty rare. I don't have a lot of these, but I will sell them regardless either through GFC or possibly eBay and other outlets (CAG, etc.).

I figure by selling off virtually all my stock I can start my business strategy fresh and if it helps me get the new house, then that'll be a major investment in the right direction :) Thanks again!

Nah :) Don't worry you will be in the next one. I have about 30 orders not in the GYRO updates. The updates are up to date, but they are not necessarily all the orders I have. I will update them soon :) Spending more time on packing. I can update the lists afterwards. Tomorrow we're meeting with another loan officer for the house so I'm hoping that goes well =P Then the next week I have almost 200 packages to pack hehe. So the GYRO list will sometimes be slightly incomplete. After I get it all up to date, then it'll be easier :) Eventually I will have the GYRO page on the GFC site and password protected for each user. But that's future talk there hehe.

Haha alright, no worries. To be honest I wouldn't even find the GYRO update that useful, since you tend to keep me (and others, I'm sure) on the status of our packages. I can't wait for my package to get here, I am quuuite worried it's not a bust, though. I'm still a little wary of those Amazon Marketplaces!

Just so you guys know, I ran out of my colored bubble wrap (blue color) and will be getting more in on Friday. So a few of your orders with multiple games may have to wait a day or two longer as I use the bubble wrap to ensure the games get to you in pristine condition. Haha I will do :) Yes, I know you take your movies seriously AND have great taste in them. That's actually a quite rare combination these days. Not enough people respect the classics if you ask me. As for me, I love older movies but I'm ESPECIALLY an animation buff. Right now it's my goal to own every Disney animated movie (at least the main classic collection). There are only a few available as Blu-Ray (and man oh man they look gorgeous) but I'm getting the DVDs as placeholders until the Blu's come out. Now that Goozex has DVDs I'm filling my collection far faster than I ever thought possible ^_^

** Goomba House Update **

Unfortunately, it's not looking so good on the housing front :( The house we want is within our affordable range and I really do know we can afford it, but the bank lenders only calculate what's on my paycheck (which doesn't include my dealing tips and such) and in contrast with my debt ratio means it is unlikely we'll qualify by the end of the year.

It may not be the end of the world, because I know once we make a little more and pay down our debts then it'll be easy to get a mortgage, but we were really trying to qualify for that $8000 credit this year. Doh! All it means I guess is I'll have to work twice as hard (if that's possible) to get things paid down faster and then we'll be on our way.

I'm not giving up yet though, but it's definitely an up-hill battle =P I'll keep you posted ^_^

Yeah, I know it sucks spzero, but what can you do? They have very strict guidelines and things. I know I can afford it (because I pay around $900 USD for my apartment now and the house isn't much more) but they don't look at it that way =P

The good thing is that when I do eventually win over the banks, I'm going to be in incredibly good financial standings =P So I do look forward to that day. Maybe if I continue to work hard at GFC then I'll reach my goals faster than expected :) That's my plan anyway! $2 or $3 a sale adds up fast when there is little overhead costs (just a lot of time devoted to each order). what do you need to do to qualify for the $8000 bonus for house purchase?

telepathy: In order to qualify for the $8000 credit (not really a bonus, but I look at it as one as well ^_^) you have to close on a house before December 1st, 2009. This means securing the loan, getting the down payment all set, signing a contract and all that fun stuff. It also is required that you haven't bought a home in the last 3 years (not a problem for me since I'm a first time home buyer) and you can't make more than $150,000 as a couple (no problems there either). There are a few other things, but those are the main points.

In order to close by December 1st, we'd basically have to have our loan all set by the middle of October and need the seller to agree to our offer price. Good luck with that Goomba =P

There are a lot of simple ideas on this page (and I'm going to be putting together more as well). Besides donating and shopping on GFC, you can always buy through our affiliate links (eBay, Amazon, etc.). Every bit counts :) But if you can't then at least try to order from GFC if the item is cheaper than in Canada (or even if it comes out to be the same). Thanks guys :) I appreciate the gesture!

TripleQ, there are really three steps:

1) Get the house for the offer we put in (pending)
2) Get a loan that covers the entire loan + closing costs, etc (pending)
3) Save enough money for a down payment (3.5-5% of the house)

I'm pretty sure we can find a house that's in our price range and we SHOULD be able to get a loan for that amount as well. I have a lot of credit card debt and car payments, but I still make enough that I should qualify. The problem is that the 5% on the down payment. A house $170-200,000 USD (most of the houses around here are $250,000 or so, but we're looking for under $200K) will require $7000-$10000 down up front, which is a lot of money.

In any case, thanks to those who have donated or said they would :) It's very generous of you! And for those of you who can't afford to, just know that every GFC order you put with me helps little by little. Thanks!
