magiic, I haven't sold any yet but I have had quite a few inquiries for them. Sending an invoice for one later today. Just keep in mind that customs will be pretty high as it's a high ticket item that pretty much requires full insurance. I can get you an invoice if you want to throw a quick DR my way.

I have something to add, Goomba:

Technically the N-1 should work since it is unlocked if you buy directly from the G@@gle store. The problem is activating the phone because it requires a U.S ip, U.S phone number, your sim card number (possibly a T-Mobile/ATT/other U.S carrier sim code would be valid), and address. Just try clicking activation on their website and you'll see the page does not work. I don't recommend using a proxy and filling in false info in case your phone requires servicing/repairs in the near future. You have to get a relative/friend living in U.S to activate it for you on the phone. Otherwise you'll be stuck with a flashlight that says: "No Service"/"Requires Activation".

Hopefully noone has purchased one and realized they'll have to send it back.

Hope that makes sense :) I will one day hope to have them in a single database, but for now I keep the two separate.

Yup, the GYROS is something I was meaning to put on the site for a long time but was just so busy to do so. Actually, it took a day or two away from the new DR 2.0 system, but I'm almost there. I plan to finish invoicing for the 15 new orders tonight, shipping a few items, going to work tomorrow morning, seeing Avatar 3D IMAX tomorrow in Providence, RI and then working more on my coding :)

I actually have the new DR system working quite well, but I'm just not sure on a few minor tweaks and system changes that I'm debating. I'll get it very soon ;)

Sorry guys, I just got home now. I was going to buy a few copies for you but the last time I did that (Left 4 Dead PC) I got burned big time so I didn't want to risk that happening again. So yeah...if you find it again, keep in mind the UPS option. Also know this: Shipped it weighs about 1.5 pounds due to the metal casing so it's more money to ship than a standard game. Just something to think about.

** GFC UPDATE **

Great news everyone! I fixed the one bug that was keeping my automated system from going live. So now I have updated the form on my side to work with the new automated system. It allows for pre-processing (calculating your invoice, generating a list of your items and estimating shipping/service charges) and includes Payment instructions too.

At the moment it does not yet let you pre-pay with your credit card information (it requires you to log into Paypal as usual and send the money as you've been doing) but there are a few differences:

1) It won't actually send me the request until you agree to the terms. Meaning, you can use it just to estimate "What would this cost" as I've done for you manually over the last year and a half.

2) You will be able to see a very accurate idea of how much the item will cost to ship to you (as long as you live in Canada and as long as you put a reasonably accurate shipping estimate). I will have selections up to 25 pounds and then anything over that will be processed manually.

3) The service charges - Standard ($2.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional, Intermediate: ($5.00 for items over $150 in value or over 5 pounds shipped) and Large Orders (Over $300 in value or more than 10 pounds shipped) will be added in automatically.

I'm just putting the final touches on it and will launch without the credit card option tomorrow.

Also, there will be a "UPS Option" which will give you the shipping address and payment instructions to cover the service charges.

Once it launches I will look forward to hearing from you guys on how you like the system. Hopefully it's not confusing (I will refine it until it's perfect if that's the case) and we'll work it out to a system that you all like. I'm really excited as I've been working several months on this upgrade. Doing this will allow me to sink more time into the rewards program, the GFC store and much, much more. Wish me luck :)

I just spent the last 5 hours working on the new form. I have gone ahead and enabled the "Direct Funds" option on the automated form. This isn't far different than the existing version but it now should estimate your shipping costs accurately as well as service charges. In addition, the payment page will give you full payment instructions unlike the old page. I will be enabling credit card payment options and the UPS options in the next few days as well :) Please let me know what you think. All suggestions are appreciated!

Setite, it depends. I am considering to pay for credit card processing services that do not involve Paypal but no matter what I go with, the credit card processing fees are around the same (or higher) than Paypal.

I'm just curious is the reason you ask to see if lower processing fees would be an option, or did you have another reason? Let me know =) I'm still weighing all my options. Thanks!

You should have a legend letting people know what the different colours mean. All of us know but there are people who aren't from CAG who'll be confused. A couple of lines explaining how long they'll stay up is probably also a good idea.

A dog is not something you sneak in without the consent of your parents, what the christ. Hell, if you're requesting Goomba's services, that means either you haven't even breached the subject of a dog at home with your parents, or they've already denied you. My brother did that when we were much younger, you seriously have no idea what kind of catastrophe this can create. No parent wants to come home to a surprise furball (and it gets worse once you tell them it'll turn into a giant fureball).

And you say you don't have a lot of money, but the Alsatian Shepalute is a big dog; and even though it seems to be a hardy breed, if something happens you'll be coughing up thousands to make sure he's alright.

Just... reconsider. Don't let the dog be a victim just because you didn't think ahead of the potential consequences :(

Edit: One last thing. That dog is going to be a 10+ years commitment. Where will you be in those ten years? Trying to find a place of your own to live is going to be immensely fun when dogs are often frowned upon. That's more than ten years of food (not exactly cheap if you don't feed him the typical filth), ten years of vet checks, ten years of buying various care products (not cheap either!).

Generally, even if you are charged, it won't be much. I only got charged $15 on a $300 order before -- just make sure it's always USPS.

Yes, that's a good point RoganSarine brings up. I only ship with USPS to Canada (and other countries). I ship with UPS and FedEX SOMETIMES in the USA but never internationally. They are absolutely ridiculously overpriced. So USPS First Class for items under 4 pounds and USPS Priority Mail for items over 4 pounds =) Hope that clears things up!

tkszeto, USPS doesn't charge by size unless the item is very, very large (as in long usually). For most packages though it's almost entirely by weight. I have programmed the site for up to 25 pounds and will be adding more options to it once I finalize all the options on the other pages. I'm going to work my best to automate my services as much as possible =) Because I have better things to do than type up invoices. I'd much rather work on web design, reward pages, and actually order/pack items ^_^

Gold_Guardian, if you check on Amazon then you can typically get a rough estimate of shipping weight. It doesn't matter so much that it's perfect anyhow. It's just so you can pay most of it up front and potentially all of it in one shot, which speeds up the shipping process. For most games estimate 7 ounces shipped and for CDs it's roughly the same. If you have any questions about item weights I can always give you an estimate should you want one :) I ship a lot of things lol.

One more thing, the "Order Numbers" that are generated by the DR 2.0 system are more or less random. They don't repeat (at least they shouldn't) but aren't used for much else other then for keeping track of unique orders. Once our system logs in orders into the database, they will tend to be more numerically ordered =) In case you were wondering.

I just realized the reason that JetEngineJesus's order didn't add in the value of the card when you submitted the request. You put the value as $34.99 with the dollar sign. Doing so made the script not see it as a number. I'll go and fix that so it strips out any symbols that aren't numbers :) Thanks for finding a little flaw that could definitely affect the way it calculates order. Much appreciated!

Hah, one of my friends *just* had a FedEX package arrive yesterday. He won a $100 gift certificate for some US based shoe store, and figured it doesn't matter if free shoes bought online don't quite fit. So he ordered a pair or 2. How much does the FedEX man want to hand them over?! $138. Yes, more than the value of the package, which was meant to be free... Needless to say my friend is ignoring that delivery, the FedEX man can keep it for all he cares :lol:

I'm considering to get a pair myself though it seems to me all headphones/earbuds are entirely way too fragile for my tastes. I always go through iPod headphones (the Apple ones) several pairs a year. They just always end up fizzling, losing audio in one ear or losing sound completely. I guess wrapping them around my phone and sticking them in my pocket kills them =P At least the Logitech ones include a case!

emjaymj, you made me laugh with your gift message on Paypal :) you are too funny man. That being said, no worries. If it sends you the Email more than once that's probably just my server being weird. Sometimes that happens to me too where I get submissions multiple times but it's not a big deal. I can figure it out ^_^ Also, the only thing you probably forgot about was that for UPS orders I charge $1.00 per package to pick them up. But other than that, spot on.

As for the Dragon Age Origins: Collector's Edition + Mass Effect 2 games for PC they were $120 before shipping and $138.50 with shipping/service charge/insurance added in. If you'd like a copy of either or both let me know. As for Valkyria Chronicles, I put that game up on the website when I have available copies. The going price is $27.00 USD or so shipped (includes 6% sales tax and shipping/service charge). ** GFC Update (In Progress) **

Just wanted to let you know that I am further upgrading the DR 2.0 page in the following ways:

1) Prices will be rounded to the nearest $0.50 increment (as I have always done traditionally on the standard invoices). Just makes my life a lot easier and makes numbers rounded. Example an item that is $14.89 will be rounded to $15.00 and an item that is $14.35 will be rounded to $14.50.

2) Since a few of you mentioned the leading zeroes for prices were a bit of an eye-sore, I am instead replacing them with spaces. So instead of seeing your service charge as $002.00 you will see it in the list as $ 2.00. I think you'll agree that's a lot easier on the eyes, and at the same time it keeps my OCD happy with having all the numbers line up.

3) I will be re-adding the Credit Card option tonight so all of you who have credit cards and/or Paypal with debit/credit cards enabled, welcome back! I will do my best to include all fees and service charges into the automated system so we don't have as much back-and-forth as we have had in the past. This is going to make everyone's life a lot easier :)

4) Within the next week or two I will have a section on the website for you to add in Amazon Codes to apply to your account. In addition, starting in February, you should be able to see your account balance with GFC on the website to see if you have any remaining credit left over from past purchases, Amazon cards sent my way or whatever. Also, a few of you may owe a few dollars for additional shipping charges and such that haven't been paid. Ultimately, your member page will let you see all the past and present orders, their statuses (Similar to the GYROS page but just for your own orders) as well as all balances or steps you need to take in order to complete orders (additional funds due, address questions, shipping questions, etc.). This won't be until late February though probably as it's a big update.

While I don't have enough money in my paypal to pay for the controller, I did transfer a small amount of money a week ago that should almost be ready and should be able to cover your service and shipping costs. JoJoBlue, yes the credit card option costs a little more because of processing fees. Processing credit cards costs 4% + $0.30 or so, which is added into the service charge. If I didn't charge these fees and pass them onto you guys, then I'd make negative money on almost all sales. It's a convenience thing for sure though. That's why I have the Direct Funds option and Amazon payments options :)

So yes, you could use your own credit to buy the controller and then you can use the money you sent me towards shipping/service charge. Not at all a problem =)

tkszeto, yes I got a tracking number and they are saying that it was delivered to me. But there's the thing: it wasn't. So I'm trying to figure out what happened. TRU said they are going to put a claim against UPS and see if they can get some answers. It's possible they delivered it to the wrong address, but I certainly didn't get it and didn't sign for it. On the proof of delivery it was blank (meaning no signature) so we'll have to see.

Don't worry though :) Either you're going to get replacement items sent to me or we'll get a full refund. Either way you're covered. Sorry for the hassle. Not sure what happened there, but I'm on the case so no worries!

Kalis, the last used one I had sold for $42. I'm getting a sealed copy but probably throwing it on eBay unless you want to make an offer for it. Thanks!

Guys, this may seem like common sense...but if you are using our Direct Request customer and using the "Direct Funds" option. PLEASE include the Order number with your payment on Paypal, and if possible a little note about what it's for. Too many times I am getting payments from new customers and it just says "You've got a payment" and nothing else. ** GFC UPDATE **

I just spent almost 8 hours programming behind the scenes on the new site and fixing bugs left and right. We're a lot closer to being bug-free, with a few minor exceptions. Here are a couple big things I've updated:

1) Order Number is now established on the main DR 2.0 page and this number will follow you through the other pages and shouldn't change as it was before.

2) User information SHOULD enter automatically after you log in and follow you through the various steps. If it doesn't, please let me know. Keep in mind that un-registered users will soon not be able to request with the DR 2.0 system and will have to instead use the DR Classic page. This will change next week.

3) Direct Funds option now mentions to send the payment as a personal / gift payment. Since a lot of people don't know about this, they send the money but then later get charged fees. I will have to evaluate this in the future, but I may require pre-payment for all direct request items (meaning you'd load credit to your account and checking out would deduct from your totals). More on this soon.

I will continue to pack, order, invoice and ship out items =) and of course will keep coding away. We will make GFC as close to perfect as possible ^_^

Hey Goomb, could you give me your UPS address? I thought it was on the site, but I can't find it (and it ain't on the first page :P)

Is the postal code simple the numbers before the hyphen?

Yeah we call it our "Zip Code" ... you need 5 digits (06226). Any numbers after the hyphen are optional. Thanks!

Okay, it's official. To use the new DR 2.0 system you MUST be registered and logged into the system. If you have any trouble with either (registering or logging in) please let me know and I'll look into it. This should make the experience a lot less buggy as before I had too many user/guest checks that were the cause of the address errors and such.

Now, the order number should dynamically attach to your order from the get-go and should retain all your user information. This is important because starting next month, the site will keep track of your orders in your member profile page and your rewards points will be accessible as well. Exciting times.

JoJoBlue, I assume you're asking about the Xbox 360 controller. I put that in the GYROS because after the processing fees on your order, $4.50 USD remained due before I can ship it out. I'll reconfirm the shipping weight once I have the item in my office and can get a more accurate weight, and if any money is due I'll send you the invoice at that time. Thanks! If you have any questions I can try my best to answer them for you :)

Edit: The $4.50 included a $2.00 optional insurance charge. If you don't want insurance than you'd only owe $2.50 to cover the credit card processing fee. Thanks again.
