Hey James, I emailed you yesterday (and posted here on post #10238) but have not heard back from you.
I think I figured out why I did not receive an email confirmation for 2 of my orders - its because after I paid with paypal I did not wait long enough to be redirected to your site. The 2 payments were processed though so can you confirm you have received these two orders that I have not received an email confirmation for:

Hi guys, I have 26 new orders to log into GYROS still. I have one more day of work tomorrow and then I'll be picking up all the new packages at the UPS store after work. Friday I'm off and I'm devoting all day to logging the new orders and shipping out existing ones. Please if you're putting in an order now remember:
** ALWAYS TRY TO ACCURATELY ESTIMATE SHIPPING WEIGHT as the item plus packaging. 99% of the orders I ship these days have underestimated shipping which requires me to re-invoice and re-determine costs. This slows down order processing 2 or 3x and makes the system back up quickly. If you over-estimate initially I can just apply the difference to your account or refund you later, but if you underpay it's a real hassle for everyone involved. Thanks guys!

** GYROS IS UP TO DATE FINALLY **
Hey there guys, I'm happy to say that after nearly 80+ orders to process we now have ALL orders from Black Friday and beyond in our Quickbooks system as well as our GYROS page. So now that the hard work of logging them all in it's just a matter of packing and shipping them out (which is actually the easiest part). Keep in mind that if your item is paid in full and we have received it, that it will ship out this week. The only reason it won't ship out this week is one of the following:
* We haven't received your item yet (next pickup date is going to be around 4 days from now)
* You didn't pay enough or any shipping money to ship to you. In this case we'll invoice you once we've received all of your items.
* We received some of your items but not all. This is a common thing especially when people add on items later on (sometimes much later).
* We just have too many packages to process (this is actually the least common reason).
So again, if your item falls into one of those categories GYROS will reflect it. Until then I have about 50 new packages in that I'm sorting through and updating in real time. Talk to you soon :) Thanks everyone for your support ^_^.
PS: To expedite your order please remember to include gift messages with Amazon and other sites. This lets me know exactly who the order is for, but keep in mind you'll still need my name and only my name on the package for PF orders. Thanks guys!

Looking at the GYROS the "3 Games & USB Flash Drive (PF)" i would think thats my order, however i dunno if thats a typo or you still waiting for the 3rd game but its 2 games instead of 3 games lol. Just making sure thats all :)

Hey Goomba, the USPS announced an Express Mail Box service to Canada for 20 pounds or less with a flat rate of $60. I imagine you'll have a couple of those on hand when they come into service (January 22nd) for those of who order lots of stuff at once (ie. me)?
anyways I made a note of $60 in my submission notes, make that $70, I was under the assumption handling charges would've been from my SCCs. You'll have to manually subtract all the extra SCCs for that order since I didn't really want to put in 34 order forms ;)

Hey guys, I finally (for the first time in 3 weeks) have two days off in a row (today and tomorrow) so you can expect a TON of orders to be processed. I'm working on the oldest ones first so if your orders are at the top of the GYROS list I'll be processing them as best as possible (there's still a few items that haven't come in actually) but we're also doing another UPS pickup today so nearly all orders should be here by now. It's a hard process especially for multiple-items orders but we're doing good so far. Keep in touch, thanks!

** GYROS UPDATE **
Good news everyone, I'm back from the UPS store and have about 100 new packages in, so nearly all orders should be in. Now it will just be a matter of unpacking them all and getting them shipped out. As usual, I'll invoice you if any additional shipping is due. I'll be getting the top orders on GYROS out by Friday (except for those who haven't paid the additional funds). Virtuearl, I'm doing my next UPS pickup tomorrow afternoon so your package should be there as well. If it's not, I'll let you know so that you can call Best Buy. The UPS Store sometimes will sign for packages that are not fully addressed for me, but they charge a $5-$10 per package charge. I'll keep you posted!

Sorry for placing so many different orders (as you can tell from all the e-mails I have sent you recently... in fact, I just placed another order on Amazon :p). Please let me know if any of the item's packaging is damaged, especially any Steelbook, digibook (like Seven / Exorcist), or slipcovers, may have to get them to reship them if so. I don't think everything I ordered has shipped yet though, some are still on backorder, will have to verify with you later next week. :)
EDIT: Could you not pack / ship any of the items I ordered yet? I think I will need you to help me return The Goonies boxset and the Persepolis Blu-ray to Amazon since they I just placed a new order for them at a lower price (the Amazon rep couldn't do a price adjustment and told me to just reorder them :/). Sorry again for the hassle.

** GFC UPS Pickup Update 12/14/2011 **
Today was probably the biggest UPS pickup we've had (even more than Black Friday surprisingly). My SUV was packed full with all the packages. This will definitely keep me busy on my next two days off Thursday and Friday this week. ** GFC Status Update & Future Program Explanation **
Just letting you guys know that I'm working around the clock today processing/shipping orders. I wanted to mention something too: More than 50% of orders these days have understimated shipping costs. This means too many buyers are understating the item weights which requires me to manually invoice nearly every other order. Starting in January I'll be updating my system to account for this. What I'm thinking is this...
We will be splitting the services into two groups: Free Users and Premium Users (names not finalized). Everyone will be eligible for the free membership as we have now but there will be no multiple item discount and orders will have something I call a "Shipping Buffer" added. This will be an additional shipping amount charged before the item ships that will be refunded in full if not required. If additional shipping is due, it will be subtracted from the shipping buffer before being refunded. Premium members will pay a small monthly fee (likely $10) but will still receive multiple item discounts, additional SCC bonuses and no shipping buffer added (though we'll still manually invoice you if additional shipping is due like we do now). This will result in a lot quicker service for everyone. Casual users (who tend to order only one item at a time anyhow) will not see any increased fees and regular customers will end up with lower fees in the long run. Hope this works for everyone.
Again, none of this is finalized but it's pretty close as I plan to code it mid-January. Feedback as always is appreciated :) I just want to make the service as convenient and efficient for everyone as much as possible. Happy Holidays guys...back to work for me!

Building on the success of current Priority Mail International Flat Rate packaging, we are introducing two versions of a new Express Mail International Flat Rate Box. Both boxes have the same cubic capacity of approximately 1/3 cubic foot and have a maximum weight allowance of 20 pounds. The top-loading box (EM-FRB1) has inside dimensions that measure 11 inches by 81/2 inches by 51/2 inches. Due to size constraints, postage payment options for the EM-FRB1 are limited to online postage payment methods, or a permit imprint (used in conjunction with GSS). The side-loading box (EM-FRB2) has inside dimensions that measure 135/8 inches by 117/8 inches by 33/8 inches. All postage payment options are available for the side-loading box. These options include, postage stamps, USPS postage validation imprinter (PVI) labels, postage meter stamps, online postage payment methods, a permit imprint (used in conjunction with GSS), or through the use of an Express Mail corporate account (EMCA). Customers pay a flat rate of $59.95 to Canada and $74.95 for all other countries that accept Express Mail International.

Just saying hi really quickly guys. I have almost 150 packages to sort through so many updates coming soon. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember to use our site when you order. There's nothing worse than telling my UPS people that I have 10 packages coming in, only to receive 50 and have them fill up their holding area unexpectedly. What makes it worse is that when I get home with my family we have to sort through all these items that we don't have in our system which take up valuable stock room space. If we have to hold your items and can't ship them out or invoice you right away, then it causes us endless amounts of headache and hardship.
Please just let us know ahead of time what you're sending us by using our Package Forwarding (PF) site and pre-paying the expected shipping costs and such. Direct Requests don't really have this problem as I have to order them, but do try your best to estimate the costs of your item (and include tax or shipping costs if they charge them to ship to the USA). Please make 2012 the most efficient year ever :)

Do I need to enter another PF request for my packages?
Last time I had an error message and could not do so, so I e-mailed you the list of items instead. I thought I would be receiving an invoice soon with the total amount owing, should I try and submit the PF request again instead?
Also, please have a look at my latest e-mail if you have time, specifically need to know if there is any dent or damage at all on the Scarface Steelbook (please check carefully), if The 10 Commandments Blu-ray comes with a slipcover, if the Buy.com slipcover for Coraline 3D is damaged or not, also if Batman Under The Red Hood's slipcover is damaged, and if the American Beauty Blu-ray from Amazon comes with a slipcover.
Everything should be outlined much better in my previous e-mail with the list of everything.
Sorry for the hassle, but I am crazy OCD about this kind of stuff. :/

Leshita, your case is unique in that you have multiple items and orders and have cleared them with me (I'm putting everything together of yours and invoicing later) but yes for future orders putting it through the site would be ideal. Just a heads up guys, I'll be shutting down the Package Forwarding system for about a week and a half starting later tonight. We're going to keep the Direct Request service open during this time but we'll be revamping a lot of things in the background. This is necessary to catch up on existing orders, to finish updating our offices (installing new shelving, track lighting and other things to keep organized and tidy) as well as updating our code on the site to incorporate the 2012 changes: namely shipping buffers and such. Oh yes, did you find out if the order for PayPal trasaction #96K84203RN717015D ($46.94) was actually processed? As I mentioned, PayPal confirmed the payment and I got a receipt but I never recieved an order confirmation.

** Shipping Buffer & New USPS Prices **
Hey guys, we're a few days away from relaunching our PF services and they'll be largely unchanged. The only real difference this week is that we're introducing a "Shipping Buffer" of $10 to all orders which will be used to buffer the actual shipping weight vs. the estimated one that users enter on the website. Whatever funds are unused will be fully refundable to you in one of two ways:
1) Keep on file as credit directly applicable to future orders (the February update will show your credit on file with us in the form of Canuck Bucks which can also be used towards the purchasing of items as well as towards shipping).
2) Refund via Paypal. This option will be available for users who have fully paid off their past invoices in full and have leftover funds due to the shipping buffer. We will wait 3-7 days after the item has shipped before sending to ensure that everything has been finalized and to reduce mis-communication between buyers.
The other change is that as of 01/24/2012 the USPS has increased both national and international mail costs slightly. For most users the change will be minimal and more than likely not noticed, but I thought I'd point it out in case you feel the shipping costs have gone up slightly.

Thanks for understanding :) This new change will SIGNIFICANTLY increase the shipping speed of both Direct Requests and Package Forwarding orders and should make it so that 99% of all orders ship as soon as we receive them (instead of having to constantly Email back and forth and invoice/re-invoice due to shipping differences). Leshita, I opened the only copy of Coraline that was in the 3D slipcase that said it included all 4 discs and sure enough inside it was just the 2 Disc Blu-Ray that has the 3D Blu-Ray only and the bonus disc. There was no digital copy and aside from the 3D slipcover it looked identical to the other copies that NBC sent. So I'm not sure where they screwed up (maybe all copies are messed up nationally?). There should only be 2 discs, the digital copy is supposed to be inside the second disc (which doubles as a DVD), but there should be a code on one of the papers inside I think to redeem the digital copy.

I placed a simple package forwarding order with his site on December the 28th 2011, paid more than what was required for the service fees and was informed through the website that my package would ship to me on January 10th 2011 (ok, the 2011 was probably a typo). Having checked the site for everyday more than a month now, I've seen my packages estimated ship date be pushed further and further back. You can check for yourself, on the site my order is 2196 / 851990249 Analog Dylan Denim Pant + Hooded Sweater (PF). It says originally invoiced december 28th 2011, it also says it will ship January 26th 2011 (again, the 2011 is probably a typo). It's now february I haven't heard a single thing from gamesforcanada, despite sending an email more than a week ago and sending PM's on these forums. He is so clearly more interested in 'improving' his website based on his activity on these forums and his ignorance towards any attempted contact I try and make to get an update on my order.
It is infuriating to me that I have to check his site every day to see if he's shipped my order. That I even have to go hunting him down online via unanswered emails, PM's and forum posts frustrates the life out of me.

We simply didn't receive your items that you sent us and I attempted to contact you again today asking if you had any of the tracking numbers so that I could contact UPS/FedEX/USPS (wherever it was you ordered them from). I am absolutely concerned with each and every customer's order and if you see on GYROS yours is the oldest of the orders that hasn't been processed (for a reason). We just implemented our new Shipping Buffer to alleviate slowdown in package processing but your order is unique in that we simply haven't received it.
Feel free to contact me here in my forum, I have nothing to hide. I'm a 100% honest and hard-working individual who started this service to assist customers. I do not believe there is any service even remotely as convenient or inexpensive for the type of service I offer and I do apologize that your order has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, but I assure you that we'll work with you to resolve it. Again, the estimates on GYROS are always assuming that everything is done on the customer's part (ordering properly to the right address, sending us all of the information and such). Some of my family and friends are convinced that you've scammed me. I don't believe you have, but have been left frustrated by this whole thing.

** UPDATED SHIPPING PRICES TODAY **
As a lot of you probably know, the USPS prices went up slightly in January and I'll be programming the new prices into the system. This doesn't have a whole lot of affect really since the shipping buffer was already taking care of any increases, but I thought I'd let you know anyway.
Speaking of the shipping buffer, I'll be updating the site to explain how everything works a bit more clearly but in a nutshell let me explain how it works:
1) You enter the information for your order (DR or PF) as usual.
2) The site will add a $10.00 "Shipping Buffer" to cover extra shipping weight or sales tax, etc. that you may have not figured into your original estimate.
3) If we need the extra funds to ship your item we'll use them. If leftover funds are still available after we ship we will credit your GFC account on the website in the form of "Canuck Bucks" which can be used towards the purchase of items OR towards Service Charges on future orders.
4) If you would like a Paypal refund of your leftover Canuck Bucks, we will have a form on the site to submit and we'll refund you within 7 days of your request.
The end of February update is being worked on as we speak which will introduce for the first time Canuck Bucks deducted upon form submission (which will allow those of you with GFC credit to use it in full) as well as our beta premium membership. More on this in a week or two when I'm closer to finishing the coding. Thanks again guys :)

If you are positive in the future that your item will not go over $10 for shipping, simply put the item as No Shipping Required / Digital Item to get a $0.00 value to which the $10 will be added, which will soften the blow. Only do this is you're 100% sure though. We'll refund you in full once we receive the item and verify the weight.
KluTchKiLLa, we Emailed you an invoice for the difference. Your shoes weighed more than 5 pounds shipped and you only estimated 3 pounds. Normally the shipping buffer would cover that, but for your item you hadn't included the shipping charges to the USA, hence the price difference. If you need me to resend the invoice let me know. Shipping for five pounds to Canada seems to be $32-$40 because at that weight you can't use regular parcel mail, it has to go expedited. Under five pounds and you can use a much cheaper shipping method (around $15). This is all dependent on dimensions as well of course.
In regards to not having a PayPal account, you don't need one to send money, you just visit the website, enter the email for the person you want to send the money to, and enter in your credit card details.

Hey guys, I didn't realize there so many new messages here. Let me answer as many as I can before I go out for another UPS/PF pickup.
Tetsugen, I'm planning to charge $10 a month for premium membership which will give you $1 for all service charges on items for 30 days. Weight/Value charges will still be applied but all standard service charges will be $1.00. If you shop multiple items in a month then it'll be worthwhile to go premium. We'll also have a yearly membership at a discounted price as well. All of these are optional though.
fuzzbunker, it takes 10-15 days on average to most cities in Canada. And no, we use UPS for picking up the packages but ship via USPS so it should go directly to your home address that you provided. Hopefully you'll have it soon :).
z7enz, we're doing another UPS pickup today as well as a big GYROS update. Take a look on GYROS today and it should be all up to date.
Klutchkilla, I removed all the excess packaging and got it down to 4 pounds for you. If you don't have Paypal we can send you a link to pay via Google Checkout if that works for you, or we can submit a link for you to pay through our site as you did initially. Let me know what you'd like to do.

** GFC PREMIUM BETA DETAILS **
OK guys, here it is. All of the information you need on the GFC Premium BETA program. I finished the majority of the coding today and will be launching the official BETA on Monday. This is how it's going to work:
1) I will post a link here and only here for the first week or two. The page listed will not be available on the website to those out of the loop, because I want to make sure it launches without any bugs.
2) The link here will allow you to sign up with one of two options: $10 USD for one month premium membership or $100 USD for one year premium membership (essentially giving you two months free).
3) In order to be a premium member you will need to be logged into the site when you purchase it and your premium membership will be applied immediately to your account. The membership will last as long as you sign up for. At the moment we will only allow for one a maximum one year membership but may extend that in the future.
4) As a premium member you will only pay $1.00 for the individual item service charges instead of the normal $2.00. You will still have to pay for weight/value surcharges but you will have an option to wave the shipping buffer.
5) In addition as a premium member you be able to pre-load Canuck Bucks/Service Charge Credits directly on the site which will minimize any handling charges. In March once the site launches the program officially you will also have an option to add Amazon Gift Cards to your account for use on the site.
This is all very early on, but again I'll be posting an official BETA link on Monday in this thread. If you'd like to join, we'd be happy to have you :). If not, then don't worry the site will work exactly the same as it does now. We appreciate your support ^_^

Just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't had much support in the BETA of the GFC Premium Membership yet. I've had a lot of people say they were interested but outside of one or two members nobody has come through. I guess I'm just going to have to launch it officially on the site at the end of the month without a BETA program, which is fine, but just giving you a heads up. I still believe the program is a good balance though to support regular customers with a perk for supporting the site, while also allowing for a little up-front revenue to keep the site running smoothly.
The truth is GFC is really a labor of love for me as technically speaking I haven't turned a profit in the 4 years I've been doing it. That's not an issue for me in the meantime because there's definitely a lot of potential revenue and growth in the business model, but unless I can seriously ramp up my customer base or branch off with some alternative revenue streams, I'm looking to break even at best with my current services.

I'm going to be temporarily removing the GFC Forums that we had on the site due to the fact that the client is pretty buggy and easily taken over by spammers (they really ruin everything, don't they?). Also, I'm officially launching GFC Premium next month so anyone that took part in the BETA, I appreciate it. The email was just me being confused about the shipping cost for what you shipped to the hotel for me. I kind of understand why it cost so much due to the weight of the books, but I felt it probably could have been cheaper if you'd have just used a couple of priority mail flat rate boxes instead.
I just wasn't expecting you to have to spend $40-$50 on shipping, I was hoping for you to at least have $30+ left in credit after you shipped that stuff to me. I guess the money I'm thinking is missing is from service charges and not from shipping?
I guess not having a breakdown of the costs involved just made me confused about where all the money went. (Since you don't really send me invoices anymore =p) I just wanted some clarification, I'm not upset or anything, was just confused.
In other news, Lego is on sale at TRU. Not sure if you'd be able to stop by a store to pick some up for me or not? Or if your schedule is too busy over the next week?

I haven't had a need to invoice you recently because you had extra funds left over but the flat rate boxes would have been too small to ship all of your items and you would have end up paying the same if not more for multiple boxes. Due to the time restraint on your trip I wanted to make sure they got there on time for you as well. But yeah, I can still compile the invoices for your records if you like. Sorry about that. As for TRU, this week is super crazy for me and next week too but if they do online sales as well I can try for you. I have "ShopRunner" which gives me free shipping on a lot of TRU items on their site.

In my opinion, yes it'd be worth it for you but I'm leaving it entirely optional. There are other promotions available only to GFC Premium members as well and other non-mentioned benefits as well.
We'll be launching it officially this month. More details to come (I'm still reworking the site a lot and recoding a bunch). Keep an eye out for my next post as it's relevant to your question :).

** GFC Going Dark for 30 Days for Free Members **
SUPER IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
GFC Will be going dark for non-premium (aka "Free") Members starting on 04/15/2012 as we launch our official GFC Premium Membership program. What this means is that if you're not a GFC Premium member, you will be unable to place a new Direct Request (DR) or Package Forwarding (PF) order with us between 04/15/2012 - 05/15/2012.
The reason for this is not to shun free members, but rather to lessen the amount of orders we process during this time so we can truly rework the site and make necessary enhancements for both free and paid members. It'll also be an incentive to those who have joined as traditionally we'd just close the site down to everyone. This way if you're a premium member, your services will go uninterrupted as it'd be unfair to paid members. Free members have plenty of warning to put in an order now to get it in time before the month-long shut down. Also, all existing orders past and present will still be processed so it will have no effect on existing orders (other than the fact that we'll have more time to process them and get rid of any backlogged orders).
To make it fair to you guys we're even going to offer a launch-week FREE TRIAL of GFC Premium so you can join for free for one week, try out our services and place orders even though the site will be in lockdown mode. This will be my thank you to you for supporting me, while also limiting the number of orders as we retool the site.
Feel free to ask any questions. I'll be processing existing orders without any stop in service. New GYROS update today and tomorrow for the 16 unlisted orders on the site. Thanks guys, we appreciate your support!

I dunno if you updated your GFC system or not, I've been busy for the last couple of months with music videos and such, but I'm billed for $21.50 because I can't apply the $10 (I can't type the items cost as -$7.36), and then you have the $10 shipping buffer fee (as generated by the invoicing software on the website).

RoganSarine, I'm starting to do the coding to have all current credits for all customers (Canuck Bucks, Store Credit, Service Charge Credits, Shipping Buffer, etc.) available on the site. This will all be part of the GFC Bank that launches late this month. You can see all your credits, cash out certain ones (Shipping Buffer in particular) or exchange different credits for other ones. More on this late this month. In the meantime we'll just do it manually behind the scenes. Thanks!

I got all of the items logged into our system from past orders. I still have 5 left from this week to enter and then I'll upload the large GYROS update. I'll be working on shipping this weekend and then on Monday I'll be in NYC for 2 days. Busy, busy, busy. Keep you all posted as best I can. As always feel free to ask any questions here but note that GYROS typically is the most up to date. If it says "Waiting for Package" that may also mean that I received your package but haven't opened it up, sorted your items and repacked. Just keep that in mind. Thanks and good night guys :).

Yes, the unused funds will be available on your account and you can request a refund at any time for the "Shipping Buffer" funds. By the way guys, I planned on going to the UPS Store yesterday but didn't know they are closed for the entire weekend due to Easter. I'll be going on Wednesday instead as I'll be in NYC on Monday/Tuesday. I can vouch for Dropbox being a great program, I've been using it for about a year now. Dropbox is the best though as it allows you to use ANY file type and converts it to be used on your smartphone/ipod touch. (PDF, JPG, WORD, etc.)
Box is also a great program, which gives you 5gb to start out with instead of the 2gb Dropbox offers. (I use both programs!)

It has come to my attention today that a number of orders were recently refused at my UPS Store. I do not know the details of this but both buyers had indicated to me that they followed the directions fully on the site, and yet the orders will still returned to the shippers. This may be a result of many customers ordering with both my name and their name on the package (a BIG no-no) or just their name (even worse). If this is the case, there's a good chance that my UPS Store will no longer do business with us.
I will be looking into this in the next few days and get to the bottom of it, but I'll be temporarily stopping all future PF orders until we can come to an agreement with them. If you have already placed a PF order, we'll let you know if we have received your items in the next few days. If you have tracking available and it says returned to sender, please let us know along with the tracking number.
Very sorry for this guys, but a lot of new customers haven't followed the instructions and it looks like it may cause me to change how I do PF orders entirely. As you know, I'll be shutting down the site to free users tomorrow anyhow for our month off, so maybe this will be good timing as far as restructuring goes. I'll update you as soon as I have more information.

I just typed up a 5 paragraph update about the new things going on with GFC but CAG crashed when I submitted it so I lost all that typing. I'll keep you updated in great detail soon but here's the QUICK version:
1) GYROS update tomorrow
2) Working out things with UPS Store
3) PF system will relaunch on 04/20 for Premium Members
4) Trial system for GFC Premium launching in a week or two
5) GFC Bank is entering alpha stage
6) Loyalty Points System launching in May
More on all of these soon (hopefully CAG won't crash on me next time!)

oOutre, sorry about that. We're having some issues with the "Contact Us" link on the site for some reason. I'm thinking I'm going to rewrite that whole section. I'd be happy to estimate some shipping prices for you though. The average pair of shoes or bag weighs about 3 pounds and for Singapore I highly recommend using USPS Priority Mail which comes to about $42.00 USD for shipping approximately. Shipping and pair of shoes and a bag together you'd save and it'd be around $56.00 USD for the shipping portions. What other forms of payment were you looking for? We can accept Amazon Gift Cards alternatively. Thanks!
