Just the codes only. I don't need the actual packaging or anything. I think $13-14 USD is reasonable, given the exchange rate and all ($16-$17 CAD). If you are able to get me codes I wouldn't mind doing an exchange for you for some products from the US and such ^_^ I'm not sure how much of a market there is for Wii codes, but I'd like to get a few to try.
Winnopeg pointed out to me that US iTunes cards also do well in several countries, so I'm looking into those as well. Anyone know if US/Canada share the same iTunes gift cards as well?
iTunes cards only work in that country's store, which is why US gift cards sell for more than their face value; the US iTunes has more content than any other country store and people outside the US need a US credit card or US gift cards. :)

Okay that totally makes sense then. I'll have to try that out. May be a good way to offset some of my Best Buy shopping and give me some money towards my credit cards as well. Kill two birds with one stone ^_^ Thanks for the tip Winnopeg!

How much did you get them for? I am looking for around $30 USD with shipping as an upper limit (with the exchange rate and Amazon, I can get them $40 CAD free shipping). Is that worth your time?

Can you buy Audiosurf, iD superpack and the unreal deal pack off Steam and gift them to my account and bill me for it?

magiic, I can definitely try that. I just downloaded the Steam Engine. Please email or PM me your steam details. I've never gifted a game there either obviously.

Just so you guys know, This week I am keeping good on my word and listing nearly 90% of my game collection onto eBay and the interwebs. Anything that was unsold in my previous Super Friday Sale is gone, baby gone. This means I will be devoting the next week or so to listing a TON of items (almost $10,000 worth if my estimates are accurate) so I will be slightly less active than usual on the forums and such. That doesn't mean I won't be around though. All it means is that I'll be working behind the scenes. So if you have any DR's (Direct Requests) please use the form on my website or Email me directly. Thanks guys and Happy Almost New Year!
PS: I spent $650 at Best Buy today so I only need $300 more to go. My offer still stands for the next 2-3 days. Anything you want me to buy from Best Buy I will get you without charging you a service charge. Just pay item price plus shipping. Thanks!

Thanks for your hard work and I wish you happy holidays!

Xezekielx, I will mail it out tomorrow. Sorry about that. I still have your set safe and sound. You will get an email when it ships :)

Just a heads up for you guys in case this isn't available in Canada (it may very well be, but it was just announced today via Atlus Newsletter so I can't be sure). The Ys DS Collection will include a bonus CD with pre-order from certain retailers...looks awesome. The website has previews of the tracks in case you're not familiar with the music. The tracks are really beautiful :)

Yeah Firestorm, that will probably be a long way out. The truth is, the series doesn't necessarily need to be in Blu Ray if you ask me. I am watching it on the Xbox using Netflix and it streams beautifully in HD. Doubt I'd notice much of a difference on Blu-Ray. Be nice to be single discs though.

Goomba, do you have the app "Deliveries" on your iPhone yet? I think it'd be pretty useful for you. Is there a way to gift iTunes apps? =p
Also, with all the different finance stuff you have going to run this thing, http://www.mint.com/ might be cool too.
goomba478
01-01-2009, 08:25 PM
Firestorm are you referring to a program called "Delivery Status Touch" ? If so, that does seem pretty cool. As far as I know the only way to gift apps is to use gift cards and such, but I could be wrong (as I often am). Thanks for the recommendations. I will check out Mint.com as well. Thanks for the tips. Happy New Year!

Woo Hoo! That's awesome Setite. I knew it should get to you soon enough because the other package I mailed out to Russia just made it out there last week :) Fantastic news! I'm glad that everything made it to you safely and that you're happy with your purchase. Our services are surely growing ^_^ Happy to have you as my customer and as a friend. Thanks for spreading the word :)
I am going to go back to packing now. I'm still working on clearing out all my old stock. I don't want to jump in feet first into my new site that I'm developing until I can unload all my older titles that have been sitting on shelves for nearly a year now. Now that I have a clear vision for my business and services, I have to discard my past ideas one at a time. It's taking me forever, but going along smoothly :) Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Hmph, so I'm not your first customer from Russia? Ugh, I'm getting jealous xD Actually, I was very glad to hold all the items in my hands and seeing your little "giftcard" inside made me and my wife smile ^_^ I will make another order very soon... Like in a week or two :-)
goomba478
01-05-2009, 03:54 PM
Well, not my first customer from Russia...I have several from eBay, but you're my first and only for my Direct Request/GFC services :) The other buyer was an eBay buyer that purchased the Fallout 3: Survival Edition from me, and it shipped about a week before your package with Priority Mail. Since they were shipped with the same service roughly the same time, I assumed your packages should be delivered about a week apart, and they were.
I am glad you are happy with your purchases! I always leave little thank you notes. I hope that your wife is happy with her watch as well :) Thanks and I'll be looking forward to your next order. Now that you know how it works it'll be a little easier, and obviously now that you received all your items you'll know that I'm not a scam artist or anything ^_^ Looking forward to your next order. Thanks!

maigoyume, that's great! Didn't I tell you on MSN that I fully expected you'd have it Tuesday or Wednesday? It seems the mail services are getting back to normal after the crazy holiday season. 01-07-2009, 06:35 PM
doctorofstyle, are you referring to a package from another seller? Because the one I shipped you out recently was only a few days ago so that's definitely not out of the ordinary. For holidays I find 3-4 weeks on average to Canada for some odd reason (nearly double the normal times). I think this has to do more with customs processing rather than the actual shipping times though.
Let me know.

danthemightyone, I just went over my invoices that I've sent out and I never charged you (at least from what I can tell) for the Rune Factory 2 + Plushie. If you find a payment code or invoice that you did please let me know. I still have a few in stock though and I'll lock you in at the Black Friday price in case you want one. Just let me know. Especially if you did pay for it and I somehow can't find it (but for the record I'm actually very organized with my records, so I think perhaps you mentioned you wanted me to get you one but I never actually billed you for it. Similar to Persona 4). Thanks!

True, but you're just lucky I think ^_^ I think it also helps that you are in Toronto...Speaking of which...
a Canadian user on RFD has asked me about potentially making a trip up to Toronto sometime in the spring to deliver some REALLY heavy items (5 x 40 pound items) that would cost almost $500 to ship. I am actually considering to drive the items up to Toronto sometime in say April which would be by far the longest I've ever driven to deliver a package lol. I'd like to make a 3-4 day stay out of it though as I had a really good time last time I was up there. Would any of you guys like to meet up if I did make the trip up north? Let me know :)

Since nobody responded to my blog post, I'm going to post it in here directly. This is the visual step-by-step order/mailing process for GamesForCanada.com...enjoy!
As promised, I am going to do a VERY visual step-by-step guide to ordering from GamesForCanada.com. Since my last post was very wordy, I will let the pictures do most of the talking ^_^
1) The Online Store on GFC:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/gfc-online-store.jpg
(Order directly from items that are currently in stock. New version of the website will also feature a text-only view of all items in stock, as well as qty. for items). The direct link is here:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/index.php
2) Direct Request Form:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/gfc-direct-request.jpg
The life-blood of my services: The "Direct Request" page. You can request almost any item from anywhere (including auction sites like eBay.com!). The full page is located here:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/direct-request.php
3) Quickbooks Business Software:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/quickbooks-order.jpg
After your order is received, I will input all of your information into Quickbooks. This will allow me to send you customized invoices!
4) Custom GFC Invoices:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/invoice.jpg
Your invoice will contain line-by-line information about ALL the charges and a breakdown of all the costs including shipping and service charges. Leaves nothing to the imagination :)
5) Shipping Process:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/items-ordered.jpg
Once all of your items are in, I will lay them out and make sure that everything is accounted for. I may or may not take pretty pictures of the order as seen above :)
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/packing-items-001.jpg
I use top of the line shipping materials (colored bubble wraps, Scotch Packaging tape - the best in the world, cardboard boxes, the works. I want your items to reach you in pristine condition and hopefully my attention to detail will show when you get it!
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/packing-items-002.jpg
Again, note all the wrapped items. I will never just throw your items into a box and call it a day. I spend a lot of time on each and every order!
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/packing-items-003.jpg
Once the box is fully packed and secured, I generally write a thank you note to give your order a little more of a personal touch :)
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/weighing-item.jpg
I use a professional shipping scale that can weigh up to 75 pounds! It is good for heavy items, but also can do items weights down to 1/10 of an ounce. Not bad ^_^ This ensures you do not overpay for your shipping!
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/images/gfc-tutorial/customs-label.jpg
I use professional shipping services from Endicia that allow me to print Shipping Labels, Customs Forms and all in one. Upon shipping, you will receive an Email confirmation that will let you know the date shipped as well as your customs numbers. Couldn't be simpler!
And that's it! I will hand-deliver your items the next day to my local post office (where trust me, they know me QUITE well now haha) and you should have your item within 7-10 days (for Canada) or perhaps faster if using Priority Mail or if you luck out :) I hope you guys will consider using my services now that you have seen all the work that goes into them. It's a labor of love, but I really do want to help you guys and it's a WIN/WIN situation for all of us. Thanks and happy GFC'ing!

My local Best Buy DOES have NGII's in stock but they're marked as $30 + tax right now. So if I want to get them, I'll have to pay full price now and have them price match at the counter. A bit of a pain, but worth it for the savings.
Yeah that's what I thought danthemightyone. Sorry I never invoiced you for it, I'll hold one for you now in the meantime :) Sounds good! I will let you guys know if I'm able to get the NGII's or not. I won't invoice you until I know for sure. Thanks!

01-08-2009, 07:13 PM
Just so you guys know, it looks like the only way I'll be able to get the Ninja Gaiden II's will be to order them from their website and have them delivered to me at full price, then price match later on. Meaning it'd be:
$10 + $3 + $0.60 = 14.60 + $5.00 (Shipping/Fees to Canada) = $19.60 USD. Not quite as tempting but maybe you still would be interested? Not bad for a brand new copy. Still sells for $50+ on Amazon.ca

Yeah, I doubt they would have honored it anyhow :) Companies like Amazon know what they're doing. They used to be more forgiving with price mistakes, but that'd be a HUGE loss for them lol. I would have tried anyhow if it let me put it through, but it was gone in an instant.

goomba, to use a Hollywood Video gift card at GameCrazy or somewhere, would you need the physical gift card or would just the number work? Soul Calibur IV's stupid marketing site sent me a Hollywood Video gift card to buy my Game Informer subscription I ordered.
There are no Hollywood Video stores in Canada ._.; Also, I don't really want a Game Informer subscription anyway... ordered cuz it was free. I wouldn't mind spending it at GameCrazy but I have no idea what the next time I'll be in the States is.

frictor: I will do that for you no problem. I'll try to send out the invoice today. I have to figure out the shipping from Rosenqueen. Remind me again if you don't have the invoice by tomorrow night (I have a busy day tomorrow). Thanks!
kathos: Just don't worry about the Atlus pack :) I only have two left and they've been selling for a good price so I'm not complaining. Also, I'm not sure if they are Platinum Hits or not for NGII, it all depends on Best Buy I suppose, but they very well could be. I hadn't thought of that. By the way, the link for my eBay store is in my signature (look at the top of the page). Thanks! I don't have many items in there at the moment as I'm working on something very exciting ^_^ More on this next week or so....
killmak: It would be about $110 USD total to ship to you. This is due to the shipping costs from Victoria Secret to me, then another $12 or so to ship to Canada, plus sales tax (6% in my state). Still save you more than $20 which isn't bad if you ask me. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!
Firestorm: I was just told that there is a Hollywood Video in Rhode Island and one near the capital of my state. I've never actually been to one, but apparently they are there in the wild about an hour or so away from where I live. I'm pretty sure I'd need the actual card though to use it for you as they don't really do online orders from what I can tell. If you want to mail it to me, maybe we can work something out. Thanks ^_^
It's 5:30 AM now so I think I'll be going to sleep now. Thanks guys! Cya soon.

deluga, this Fighter stick weighs about 9-10 pounds shipped so including everything it will be $196 USD. Not exactly cheap, but I hear it's one of the best fighter sticks ever. Considering it retails for $150+ tax it's not so bad if you can afford it. And yes, you will likely have to pay customs on it as I don't mark down customs forms (I could get in big trouble for that, not to mention you could be black listed by customs as well). Insurance is $4.00 USD if you want it making it an even $200 USD total insured/shipped. Shipping is by Priority Mail (5-7 days generally). Thanks!

Jest, I'm not exactly sure but I can check around. The problem with books/textbooks is that even if I can find you a low price, they're often very heavy and therefore expensive to ship. But if you'd like I can still look.

Quick preview of the new "Library" Mode for item views...
http://www.improcomics.org/blog/delicious-library-thumb.jpg
I just picked up some incredible software called "Delicious Library" made by Delicious Monster. It's a Mac only program that allows you to scan in your books/games/movies/etc. and have them show up in virtual bookshelves. I even bought a wireless bluetooth laser barcode scanner for this purpose (can scan thousands of items and have them wirelessly sent to my Mac...how cool is that?). After the items are in the system, you can sort them by date, name, system, type, value and a million other ways.
How is this useful? Well I'm glad you ask :) For those of you who can remember my first "Super Friday Sale" it wasn't exactly easy to see all the games since they were just endless photos of the games spines. This way, you can see all the titles and I can sort them by type (Brand New, Used/Complete, Disc Only, whatever...) and make them clear to view. Here is a quick preview of some test scans I did. Many of these are my own personal items, but many are ones I have available for sale as well. If you see anything you're interested, feel free to make an offer :) I'm in the process of updating the new GamesForCanada.com site as you know and this will be part of a new section (or two). Enjoy!

goomba478
01-15-2009, 03:47 PM
Thanks Frictor! It'll be better once I add my own code to it. At the moment you can't really do much with them except look at them. Once I add some coding and such then that's where the real magic will happen ^_^ I am telling you, I may be behind a month or two on schedule for the new site but I've been making a lot of progress. Here's what I did this week:
1) Created a library generator from scratch. This means I basically put together a form online that I can enter data into quickly that will communicate with my store's database. Like this, I can add new items in less than a minute whereas in the past it took almost 20+ minutes due to the web-form nature of Zen Cart and the other forms I was using. Big improvement!
2) I am creating a master inventory view for you guys where you can see at all times, exactly what games I have in stock, how many I have, etc. You can sort by price, system, qty and all sorts of things. On the side will be buttons to request as a Direct Request item, make a "Best Offer", buy from affiliate sites, etc. Really cool stuff!
3) I'm tweaking the shipping, gift certificate system, payment options and such on the actual GamesForCanada.com store. I want everything to be working smoothly once the new site opens at the end of February and want it as close to perfect once I open it for the Beta Testers :)
I'm also doing other things behind the scenes. Hope you guys like the new site once it launches!

Hey goomba, I am looking to make a purchase from Amazon on a few dvds and some other things.
The thing I am not sure is that I only have a few dollars of "real" money left in my paypal account. How can I do it so that paypal will only charge me from my credit card? I am currently signed up using transfers from my bank account and that can take about a week for it to clear. Any ideas?
goomba478
01-15-2009, 10:16 PM
rayee6, it's not hard but it is a bit tricky. Paypal will ALWAYS require you to take out the money from your account/available funds first and then charge your credit card. What you can do, if you like, is send me the total from your account and the rest on your credit card, or if you like just send me the total in your account + the bank transfer (we call it an 'e-Check' in Paypal terms). Echecks typically do not have any fees, whereas credit cards cost 6% on top of the normal charges.
If you like I can work something out with you, it's not a problem at all :) I'm very, very flexible! Thanks!
rayee6
01-15-2009, 10:25 PM
okay. Thanks for the quick reply.
I think I'm going to go the credit card root. So say I want to buy more than one item, do I just make a different request for each item on your website and you'll just tally them up yourself?
goomba478
01-15-2009, 11:22 PM
rayee6, there are a bunch of ways to make the payment. Here are a few of them:
1) I can send you an invoice with payment instructions.
2) You can send the money directly to my Paypal account (I'll give you the address)
3) I can send a money request for you.
4) I can set up your order as a custom invoice on my web-store and you can checkout there (newest option).
Just let me know what you want and I'll put together an invoice for you ^_^
Please send me a PM with your Full Name, Address and Email and I'll send you an invoice. Thanks again :)

New PS3 Sale Alert!
http://www.gamestop.com/gs/newnews/fsi/images/EBC3007523.jpg
This sale is good until 1/22/2009. As always, I will pass the savings onto you. Just pay the actual cost of game + $5.00 or so (Includes actual shipping plus my $2.00 service charge). I will even add my extra 10% Edge bonus for you. So altogether you get 30% off the regular Gamestop prices. Keep in my state has 6% sales tax, so it's technically more like 24% or so. ^_^
Sample Games: (Original Price, After Gamestop Discounts, Final Price)
* Eternal Sonata - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Motorstorm Pacific - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Little Big Planet - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Valkyria Chronicles - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Resistance 2 - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Uncharted - $39.99 ------> $29.67 + $5.00 = $34.67 USD TOTAL
* Bioshock $34.99 ------> $25.96 + $5.00 = $30.96 USD TOTAL
* Prince of Persia - $34.99 ------> $25.96 + $5.00 = $30.96 USD TOTAL
- Any other games you guys want me to check prices for? Let me know and I will add them to my list. Those are just some off the top of my head ^_^

Dan, I'm assuming you are referring to the Prinny set (limited to 1000 total)....I went ahead and ordered it the same day you requested so it should be all set :) I ordered one for myself too though I may end up selling it if I can't justify the cost (it's just too cool a set to miss and at only 1000 pieces that's pretty rare too).
Unless you referring to another item?

Hey Goomba, I've never used your service before but I've been following this thread since last year hehe. I finally want something from an american online website, but the shipping to me in Canada alone would be $24.10. I wanted to know if it would be cheaper if it was shipped to you and then to me, it's a toy so it shouldn't be heavy. But maybe their shipping rates are expensive for America as well, I can't check myself because you need to put in a zip/postal code...
This is the product I want.
http://www.videogamefigures.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=226
If it's even possible for you to order from this website, would there be any way for you to first check how much the shipping would be shipped to you, and estimate how much it would cost to get it shipped out to me? If it ends up being more or just about the same, I might just order straight from the site itself. Also if you don't think the site is trustworthy enough please say so and forget about this ^.^;

Great news everyone: Amazon.com is listing the 13 month XBL card for $30! So any of you that didn't get one the first time around, now is your chance. I am selling them for $33 with direct funds (non-Credit Card payments) and $34 with Paypal (Credit Cards OK). Let me know if you're interested!
------
TronBonne (TronB), in case you want to check it out in the future. My zip code is 06382 just for reference (Uncasville, CT, USA).
Here is roughly what it'd cost:
$17.00 - Includes item cost plus Priority Shipping to me in the US
$06.00 - Shipping to Canada for the figure.
$02.00 - My Service Charge ($2.00 first item, $1.00 each additional).
----------------
$25.00 USD - Grand Total for everything ordered and shipped to you ^_^
Let me know if you're interested! I will need your Full Name, Address and Email address (you probably know that if you've been following this thread). Feel free to PM me. Thanks! Hope we can order this for you :) I'd be more than happy to.

Bourne Identity
The Pianist
Casino
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Born on the Fourth Of July
Mercury Rising
Carlitos Way

Monty Python's Meaning Of Life
Friday Night Lights

Hey Goomba, I'm totally interested, and would love if you could order that product for me. But I was looking around that site some more, and I for sure want to add two more items! I understand this will increase the price, shipping + your service fee, but I want to buy eveything at once. With the information you gave in your reply I checked how much the shipping would be to you, around $8-9, compared to $28 to Canada! Would there be anyway for you to tell me how much everything would cost, in total after all of the fees and everything are applied? I promise I won't add any more things. =)
Two new items:

It actually shouldn't be too bad. But I'd probably have to ship in a few shipments due to the weight/value of the items. I'll get back to you!

kathos, yes I do have access to toys. I have shipped many figures, toys, models, etc. so far through my services =) Keep in mind toys available online are preferred as the ones in local stores are very YMMV. Thanks!
For those asking about HD-DVDs I will try to get back to you. The shipping is going to have to be very estimated at this point due to the fact I am not sure how much they will actually weigh (box sets in particular). game_fanatic, I haven't seen them on sale in a good while. Well Firestorm, yes and no. If it comes back in stock on Rosenqueen I'll be sure to let you guys know. These items tend to be very limited, which is why I try to get the word out ASAP. Azumangaman, here is an estimate of what it'd cost for all your HD-DVDs including shipping to Canada:
Bourne Identity
The Pianist
Casino
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Born on the Fourth Of July
Mercury Rising
Carlitos Way
The Game
Monty Python's Meaning Of Life
Friday Night Lights
Serenity
Seed Of Chucky
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
Azumangaman, here is an estimate of what it'd cost for all your HD-DVDs including shipping to Canada:
$67.00 - Actual cost of Movies from Closeoutmovies/Amazon.com
$30.00 - Actual cost of shipping from Closeoutmovies/Amazon.com
$43.00 - Estimated shipping cost for 13 movies (seperate packages), ~7 pounds or so total.
$05.00 - Special Bulk Rate for custom orders with multiple similar items
----------------------------------------------------
$145.00 USD altogether
Let me know if you are interested or not. For others asking about HD-DVDs use this as a model. Please note I do not get free shipping from this seller even though they sell on Amazon.com, hence the shipping costs. Thanks guys ^_^
PS: The shipping costs may in fact be less. This is just an estimate to be on the safe side. I think it's pretty close to the actual cost.

I'm going to have to pass. Spending $80 on shipping is madness (not your fault).
Also, thats around 180 CDN, so that works out to around $12 per HDDVD, so thats a bit much for me :)
goomba478
01-20-2009, 01:03 PM
game_fanatic, well the Ar Tonelico series is a particularly good one, but the limited edition set comes with the art book/CD and all that for the same price that the game sells alone, which makes it particularly tempting. In addition, Rosenqueen.com is the official store in which NIS America products are sold (they have a ton of great things).
Azumangaman, I kind of had a feeling of that (which is why I didn't rush to get the invoice out). At this point in time I pretty much have a good sense of what deals will be tempting to you guys. Many times the deals sound good, but when you figure in shipping (especially if it's not free shipping from the retailer) it adds up fast. Oh well. There's another 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back (haha, just kidding ^_^).
If any stores sell the HD-DVDs with free shipping just let me know. A few of them did have free shipping (but only a couple of them).

01-20-2009, 01:24 PM
Figured as much, I'll pass on the HD DVDs too. If an Amazon seller has those titles cheap, I'd bet they'll hit retailers here cheap soon enough anyway. I love hitting those $5 HD DVD bins. :)

If your looking for HD DVD's and have a Giant Tiger near you, they're usually $6.88.
goomba478
01-20-2009, 01:35 PM
Yeah, that is quite a deal. Though I'm partial to Blu-Rays (and I suppose partially responsible for the death of the HD-DVD), I think that I'd definitely collect HD-DVDs if I had the player to do so :) At this point though it's not really necessary for me as I have Netflix and seldom watch a movie twice anyway.
I've made it my personal goal to basically only buy animated movies (for some reason I can watch those a thousand times over). I love Blu-Ray animated movies because you can pause them frame by frame and they're so clear. Or, watch them in slow motion and see how animators pull off different things. Totally worth it :)

Goomba may already know this, but I am a hardcore NIS/Atlus fan. Enough said! lol
Ar Tonelico 1 boxset was regarded as one of the rarest PS2 RPGs (mainly due to limited printings) but not any more thanks to the reprint. The game itself isn't much challenging (as expected as it's in line with Atelier Iris series) but overall I enjoyed the game so much.
goomba478
01-20-2009, 02:54 PM
Yes danthemightyone DEFINITELY without question wins the NIS/Atlus fan-award of 2008. Nearly 90% of his orders are from Rosenqueen I would say and he's nabbed quite a good amount of great pre-order bonuses and collectible items :) These things are really fun and make great decorations for hardcore collectors/gamers alike. Ar Tonelico 2 is simply the latest in great NIS traditions :)

Band of Brothers on Blu Ray is a great deal on Amazon :) I've gone ahead and listed it on the store on GamesForCanada.com, but that price includes the fees/credit card processing and stuff.
Here is what it costs if you pay with non-Credit Card funds:
$43.00 = Band of Brothers Cost on Amazon.com (Affiliate seller with shipping)
$10.50 = Cost of shipping 1.5 - 2.0 lb package to Canada [Actual cost may be lower, but this is based on the ~2 pound estimate)
$02.00 = Service Charge from GFC
---------------------------------
$45.50 USD Grand Total
If the price comes back down again then obviously you'd substitute the first value for the lower cost. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was at work and CAG is kind of buggy on my iPhone sometimes.

Baztian, you're quite welcome. Thank YOU for using my services. I only make $2-$3 on most sales, but if I build my customer base up enough then that'll be good money some day (hopefully). My dream honestly is to do this full time as it's something I genuinely enjoy. It helps you guys, it helps me and it could potentially allow me more time with my friends/family. Someday, down the road when I have kids then it will allow me to take care of them while the wife is at work and such.
GFC has only just begun :) I intend to make this service as good as humanly possible. In my mind there are no limits. Only time limits which unfortunately drag me down. If I didn't have two nearly full time jobs in the way, I know I could do a LOT!

Working to make the site a success, and it's really paying off =) You guys are going to really like the new site once I work out all the details!

Cool. I'll send you money when my internet connection stops being so damn slow.
Since I'm getting those Weeds seasons the shipping will be a little less right?

I get free shipping from Amazon.com anyway Azumangaman. The closeout HD-DVDs were more because they weren't sold directly from Amazon.com ^_^ So whether you order one game/movie from Amazon or 100, the shipping is still free to me. The only time it adds up is when I ship it to Canada. Invoice sent for the DVDs/Blu Rays you requested :)

Ah I see. Yeah I knew about the HD-DVDs. Interesting to know.
Regardless, I still want to check out Weeds (INSANE PRICE) and Extras (also insane).
I'll get you the money ASAP.
Any new on Band of Brothers (not that I should be asking about how to spend more money).
goomba478
01-21-2009, 04:37 PM
Yup Azumangaman, try to get the payment to me ASAP in case the DOTD ends or the Weeds prices jump up (as you know Amazon.com is no longer doing the price matching with themselves anymore) so if it goes up, we'll miss our window. That's what happened apparently with Band of Brothers. It's now showing as $55 USD.
Just so you know guys, I'm working on coding a system that will allow you to pre-pay your Direct Request orders. More on this in a week or two ^_^ It's a lot of work to code, but it's going to be a huge jump in convenience (for both of us).

Goomba, do you mind holding a copy or Ar Tonelico 2 for me (just the game) ?
A buddy of mine wants it but doesn't have any spare funds right now.

01-21-2009, 05:10 PM
maigoyume, as you know I generally don't buy items before payment is received. When do you think your friend would have the funds available? Please let me know. Thanks!
I'm going to run to the post office now. Be back around 5:00 PM EST. Thanks!

Here are some cool PS3 contoller trigger add on's that make your trigger buttons more traditional. I dont see them available in Canada and well they seem awesome. I suggest other Canadians take a look at them. Anyways Goomba how much for two sets?

Some pages back he stated that they cancelled his order.

I want a bundle for Ar Ton 2 :(
I missed out boooooooooo
goomba478
01-21-2009, 10:24 PM
Yeah WillGabriel, like killmak said Target will not honor the price. They canceled all of the orders. Too bad too, I heard good things about that game. Oh well :)
The new site will make it easier to keep track of what games deals are available and such, until then you'll just have to browse through this forum I guess lol.
Puppetyuber, I know man. Sorry you weren't able to get in on the bundle, but at least the game will still be available. You can always get the bundle on eBay when it first launches (shouldnt' be much more than retail). Better to get it then before it becomes super rare and a true collector's item. Word to the wise ^_^

killmak, those RealTriggers are actually very, very good and very, very popular among Canadian CAGs. I've sold about 10 of them to date =)
They aren't very heavy to ship either. For two sets of them it'll be $17.00 USD altogether. Let me know if you want some :) They're great!

When you get a chance can you send me your paypal e-mail and also a quote for 4 sets as well. I will either buy 2 or 4 sets depending on whether my friend wants them or not.

hey goomba, funds finally transfered! Do you still have any XBL 12+1 cards left? Thanks!

Yes Game_Fanatic, I sure do. Send $33 USD to jjparks@improcomics.org with non-Credit Card funds and I will send you the code tonight :) Thanks!
Goombie, can you try to win this auction? http://cgi.ebay.com/Sound-Blaster-X-fi-notebook-WIRELESS-Express-Card_W0QQitemZ200300822685QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCC_S ound_Cards?hash=item200300822685&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50 I'm hoping it doesn't go over $60, but thats not likely I think :( That thing goes for $115 up here.

01-22-2009, 08:43 PM
Jest, yes I can win it but I typically ask you to pre-pay up to the full amount you wish to pay (I'm working on writing a program that will do this for you but won't be ready till mid-February). if you are serious about this item please send me full payment for your max bid, plus shipping (from eBay seller). I will bid up to your max using a bid-proxy/sniping program. Thanks!
Argh! I can't believe I missed the Extras thing.

01-22-2009, 08:51 PM
King! Great news :) I actually ordered an extra one (because I knew someone would be interested). I was tempted to buy 9 of them because it seemed a great deal, but I couldn't afford the risk or the charge at the time of ordering.
So if you want one, let me know how you want to pay: Paypal Direct Funds (Non-Credit Card) or Paypal (Credit Card). Thanks!
Monies incoming! I expect to be reimbursed if you don't win right ;)
goomba478
01-22-2009, 09:28 PM
LOL Jest, of course I'll refund you 100% if you don't win. Make sure to send the maximum you want me to bid (including the seller's fees). Remember if paying with a credit card send your monies to: Canadapayments@improcomics.org
if using direct funds send to: jjparks@improcomics.org
Thanks!
Oh I didn't even know you had two email addresses. And I forgot about the ebay fees and such. I'll throw some more at you.
goomba478
01-22-2009, 09:32 PM
Jest: Payment received and max bid put into my sniping program. Hope you win buddy! I'll let you know if you do and we'll figure out the shipping to Canada and all that fun stuff. If you don't win I will send you your money immediately. Thanks again ^_^
goomba478
01-22-2009, 09:34 PM
Jest, I put in your max bid at $50.99 USD (shipping is $8.00 for Priority Mail from the seller). I honestly don't think you'll win seeing that it has 3 days and is already more than half of your max bid, but I put it in nonetheless. Hope you get lucky ^_^

Shipping is free, the seller has a pretty reasonable price and it's a BIN so you know the price. Just a heads up :)
Maybe. It would end up the same price as I would pay in store less taxes after shipping costs to me. Also, maybe border fees? :(
goomba478
01-22-2009, 10:02 PM
Well shipping shouldnt' be much to Canada (probably weighs a pound or less). I will try to win your item, but if it doesn't go through then at least it's an option. I'll put your extra monies towards the item (so you'll have a higher bid now). Best of luck ^_^
OK glad you got that message! Wow 100 pages!
goomba478
01-22-2009, 11:38 PM
Yup, 100 pages and going strong. What's even more impressive is that we have nearly 300 orders now! Granted that amounts to only like 30-40 orders per month we've been operating, but actually more than half of the orders have been since November basically, so we have definite momentum going. I think once the new site launches, that'll be the real tipping point ^_^ Exciting times indeed!

Goomba, can you recommend good eBay tools so I can snipe your auctions? :P
goomba478
01-23-2009, 12:38 AM
Actually the one that I really like the most is a 100% free one. It's a Firefox plugin (there is a stand-alone program version as well and an opera version but I'm a Firefox fan so I stick to that 99% of the time). The Firefox/IE/Opera plugins are free, and the stand-alone version costs around $13 USD. Obviously CAGs should go for the free ones =P
You can find it here:
http://www.myibay.com
I highly recommend it. Make sure you never pay money for sniping. This one is totally free =) Works like a charm ^_^
I take it Firefox needs to be open at the time of auction close?
goomba478
01-23-2009, 12:57 AM
Actually no. It just adds a "Snipe This" button inside the eBay items for you automatically. The bidding is done on the server-side of things. So once you sign up with their service, it's all on their end (just like Auctiva does for listing items). It's really incredible and one of the only ones I ever used that's 100% free. I used to use www.auctionsniper.com (http://www.auctionsniper.com) but they charge 25 cents or more per auction and that adds up really, really fast. This is by far easiest and cheapest ^_^
Here's a screenshot of what the sniping button looks like as well as the sniping window. Maybe I should make a blog post about this since apparently not many people know about it.

will you be doing clearance for ps2 games anytime soon? :D
*will be watching few of those ps3 games*
goomba478
01-23-2009, 12:15 PM
PuppetYuber, yes absolutely. I'm actually trying to get rid of my back stock for a number of reasons (the biggest is they are costing me money just to sit on my shelves and as you know I really need it right now) but also because I want to move away from eBay more and more and focus on GamesForCanada.com full time.
By selling off my back stock I will have more money to invest in GFC and will not have to worry about bleeding money from past purchases. I'm selling the Xbox 360/PS3 games first because they are mostly newer titles that still have their full values in tact. Once most of the newer titles are sold I will be listing a ton of PS2/Gamecube/DS/PSP/etc. Keep an eye out! I plan to do 20-30 games a week until they are all sold. I'm hoping to recover my losses and have a fresh start for 2009 :)
