Hey guys,

I just went to EBGames to trade 3 games. Apparently, these games haven't been entered in the system yet, but they've both released more than one month ago.

They are :

Buzz ! The Hollywood Quiz (PS2)
Buzz ! Junior Robo Jam (PS2)
Twisted Metal : Head On : Extra-Twisted Edition (PS2)

The guys told me nothing was on the system, but that they were in "red", and it apparently means that they've not calculated yet.

Is there a way to make things move? How and when are they gonna mark the prices?

Thanks!

"Red" usually means that you're not allowed to take it in for whatever reason.

i.e. the original run of san andreas (ps2), we can't take in, for hot coffee reasons. when you search for it in the computer, it is in "red" text.

I've personally traded in Twisted Metal: Head-On, I think. The other two, EB/GS may not be able to trade in because of the special controller needed to play the game?

But the twisted metal title is interesting to say the least.

I actually traded the first two versions of Buzz!, Buzz ! : The Mega Quizz and Buzz Junior Jungle Party with no problems.

Would calling the headquarters change anything?

How much did they give you for Head On?

I'd be willing to buy the buzz movie one off you

I know of some online-only games (e.g. Final Fantasy XI) that aren't allowed to be traded in, possibly because they're worthless if someone has already registered the key. I remember someone saying here that Wii Sports and Wii Play don't have TIVs either.

I traded in Buzz Junior Jungle Party. Staff told me that they are not taking the controllers, so he only took the game. They dont care about the controller. I ended up keeping the controller. I am playing around with it on my pc.

So now, what are my options?

magiic, I may think about your offer, because I'm trying to trade 3 for 1 for Mario Kart Wii. If nothing work, I'll come back to your offer.

Does Wii Sports even have a seperate SKU?

However, EBgames have been known to tradein the Zelda Collection disc which doesn't have an SKU.

Do you guys know how I could contact EBGames Canada by email? I'm at work right now, so I can't phone for now.

I don't think they have a corporate email address, I'm sure you've seen it but for the sake of a quick link:

http://www.ebgames.ca/contactus.asp

I need to get in on that trade-in deal... Forza 2 and Marvel = bye bye (I hope)

Sorry to disappoint you, but Forza 2 and MUA both don't qualify for the trade-3.

I called, and they didn't told me anything at all.

All they said was that the "store does trading values" (I knew that) and they repeated that for like 3 minutes.

So there's apparently no way I could speed up the process. Well.

That's great.

Yup, that's how they always say. If you ask them the same question in store, they will say their database is updated minute by minute basis from headquarter.

That's exactly what they told me in store.

Anyway, I guess I'll try next week.
