the only way to input game codes is through the marketplace blade on the 360. the only codes you can redeem online through the xbox.com website is for xbox live subscriptions.

I called and after staying on the phone for a while informing the lady of her own store's promotions she tried to tell me that I would get the code when I got the game,w hich I know is not true... so now she's trying to say that Microsoft was supposed to e-mail me the code, then transferred me to Xbox customer support... I'm not even going to deal witht his shit, if I don't get it in another day or two I will just cancel it and buy the game somewhere else. Circuit City never has their shit together, that's why I quit that godawful job a couple of months ago.

My friend who pre-ordered it two days after me still hasn't received his codes, yet I got mine on Friday and he should have gotten his by now. You could always get the game, wait for the code, then take it back to the store for a full refund unopened right?

I take it number 1 is the cause. I ordered mine on Monday got it friday while my friend ordered it on Wednesday and still hasn't gotten it as of last week.

There is a huge standee in the store for this deal, and it says at the bottom that you have to go online to preorder to do this deal. Hell, they didn't even have a way at this local CC to preorder it, because I wanted to do it and get the codes right there and then (and just grab NG 2 from there the day it came in) but they had no codes or way to preorder it.

I figure I'll go ahead and do this on the website, and just cancel... if CC hasn't started going for people yet who did this, they probably never will, or just don't care.

I think because of the amount of people who got the code and then immediately canceled (I was NOT one of them) that they are just going to email the code when the game ships in June. I seriously doubt many people, if any, will get this code now any time before June.

I wonder though if I will get a second code by mistake? If I do, I'll donate it to CAG to give away on either the CAGCast or CAGForeplay as I don't know any IRL friends (instead of XBox friends) who would want the Halo 3 maps. Plus it would just be right seeing I wouldn't have gotten them if it wasn't for CAG.

It should be once the game ships now, although some previous buyers seem to be getting them. I wonder if they'll screw up and give me a second code since I still have my pre-order?
