My scanner is currently at my fiancés so, I'll probably have to wait tomorrow to scan it in. It's pretty much copy and paste of a lot of the emails floating around from both parties. A 40 page document outlining what the stock buyout is about. Nothing earth shattering, but I figure people might be interested.
So... whadya think? Should I take my $26 a share and run or wait for GTAIV?

Don't do it, for the good of the gaming industry.

I want to say wait for GTA4 since that's their flagship product but I don't really follow Take Two and I don't like EA either. Just remember one thing, Don't Get Greedy!

Cash in. EA makes great games. It isn't like they plop out the same game every year!

What is the stock currently selling at?
If you've made money so far, sell. As someone else said, don't get greedy.

Take the $26. This deal is a forgone conclusion and I'm sure GTA sales were figured into the appraisal. At most it might jump $2-3. How many shares ya got?

Well, one thing about waiting for GTAIV,
Realize that there are built in expectations for this game already in the stock price. So, for the price to rise, it would need to exceed those expectations. I have to imagine the expecation for this game is absolutely huge sales wise. I can't imagine that it can crush those expectations. If anything, with this hyped a game, I think the price might fall when sales don't hit and stay at those rediculously hiigh levels for months.

stock is trading at $25.70 ish now. It's held ever since the announced hostile takeover. I don't expect GTA 4 to negatively impact this. so why would you take this offer?

Do you really need the money, or something?
I like money. In fact, I may even love it.
However, I loathe EA. I loathe them when they are buying willing companies. I begin to hate them when they begin to forcefully take over companies.
Honestly, out of principle, I have to say to reject the deal. Money is good, but I strongly object to EA's consolidation of power within the industry.
Just me.

A quick post before I gotta run to work:
I don't have a ton of shares, certainly not enough to either prevent the takeover or retire early. Which is why it's kinda fun...
I'm playing it as a game - is it better for video games as a whole to have Take Two under the umbrella of EA or not.

Is it better for video games as a whole to have Take Two die because no one bought them? No.

Where do you get the idea that Take Two is on the verge of death? They're about to release one of the biggest, most highly-anticipated games of the year!
Do you think EA would be bumping up their offer on the valued stock price simply out of goodwill and compassion for a competitor on death's door?

How many shares of Take Two do you currently own?

Hahahahahhah, you really haven't been keeping tabs on their financial situation, have you?
It's going to be so badass when EA nabs T2. The teeth-gnashing from all the EA-haters is so funny.

With a mature response like that, how can I not assume you know what you're talking about?
Everyone's aware of the financial troubles, but almost all game companies have financial trouble periods. EA has itself survived numerous financial troubles.
And whether or not you hate EA doesn't matter, their developer-gobbling affects all gamers. They're laughing, too, mate, from right behind you, with every thrust.

Uh, I'm not trolling. Commenting on how people shit their pants and overreact about how evil EA is isn't trolling. It's just observation.
If I made fun of you for writing something as grammatically absurd as "National Forum Preserve Safety Board," yeah, that'd be trolling. But I'm not going there.

It's only grammatically absurd if you don't understand the words he is using.

I'm guessing you don't go to state parks often then...
It may not be the content of your posts that is inherently "trolling", but have you ever stopped to consider that maybe the tone of them is? I find it hard to read most of your posts without getting the notion that you're just trying to pick a fight. I mean a person can't be that angry and obnoxious all the time, can they?
I don't even know why I'm bothering...

Well, if you ask me, it's the reader that infers tone in writing...

OP, take the money. Don't get greedy here. There is little anyone can do to prevent an EA takeover at this point. Take Two has already poision pilled, but that will be of little use. EA simply has more resources at their disposal.

Mind telling us how many shares you own OP?
10? 100? Perhaps a 1000?
