Noticed this rebate, but never knew what the rebate would actually be since you don't know officially until after you order. Waited and deal showed up on SD...

"Amazon has a new deal that if you buy $25 of "entertainment" books, you can get a free subscription to US weekly. However, if you don't want the subscription, you can request a rebate of the value ($19.80) instead. So you can order $25 worth of books and get free shipping and $19.80 back for a total of $5.20."

I ordered :

if it has the blurb "Special Offers and Product Promotions - .......Buy $25 worth of entertain books...." it should count. Looks like you are safe. At checkout, it should mention something up top i think too

You buy your items of $25 or more. Then go to "Your Media Library" under your account. Click Download on any one of the items and fill out the form (DO NOT SUBMIT). At the bottom it says to fill out the form on the page (DO NOT SUBMIT), print it, and send it and a copy of your receipt to an address.

*EDIT: I ended up grabbing...

Grand Theft Auto IV Signature Series Guide
REAL Ultimate Power: The Official Ninja Book
The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead

Total came up to $34.02 - $19.80 = $14.22

I did a search for COMIC in the Entertainment category and got ~27,000 results, some of which are TPBs such as 52 and Civil War some of which are more about comics in general. Any ideas on how to narrow this to only TBS?

How do I do this? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I have a nagging suspicion that this deal is over.

Also, is it possible to do this more than once? I'd like to get 4 books that work out nicely to two sets of $25.

Edit2: I also just noticed that the deal is even better than the OP suggested. $25-19.80 comes to $5.20, so save on CAGs!

To make it clear, this isn't a deal that shows up in your basket at the time of purchase...It is basically a free promotional offer that you can opt out of via a mail in form and get back the value of the promotion back (unspecified if it is a credit back to your account or check in the mail).

And before some spouts out that 'boy, this is sure stupid way of doing this...why don't they just put in the cart immediately', it likely due to the nature of the Audit Bureau of Circulation rules concerning the definition of paid circulation....if you can't opt out of the 'deal', then generally you can't count it as paid circulation, which is the one of the key factors advertisers pay attention to.

Pretty sure you don't submit the form online and print it, fill it out, and send to the opt out address.
By submitting the form online, you might lose the right to cancel it for the rebate.
That's how it worked when buy.com was doing the same thing with a $10 rebate.

Does it worry anyone else that in the details for the deal it says:

"When you place an order for $25 or more on Entertainment Books (http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_6606472_1?ie=UTF8&node=86&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=06VRBF6WWJ0ZHQCAYH04&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_p=381549201&pf_rd_i=1000212401) sold by Amazon.com by April 15, you'll automatically be eligible for a 20-issue subscription to Us Weekly, a $19.80 value, included with your purchase. To opt in for this subscription, follow the steps below."

Notice the part that I bolded and underlined? It seems strange that the deal would be over but still have links to it all over Amazon as though it were going on. I hope it's not a problem since I just ordered my GTA IV and Saints Row guides on the 16th...
