I don't know how new this information is or if it has been posted, but I was in my local Blockbuster today and they had Nintendo Ds for rent. They are $4.99 to rent for 5 days. I wonder if the millions of Ds systems floating around made them change their mind.

$5 isn't terribly bad. Could easily beat a short DS game in that time span.

R4DS is a cheaper way to rent :)

Well don't forget no more late fees gives you basically an extra 5 days anyways. I can't deny the R4 or the M3 though.

some stores have been doing this for around a year or two. locally they started doing back in aug 2007 here. They have already said they are in talks to stop this since there is only about 3 people who rent DS or even PSP game... myself being one.

I don't rent DS games just because I don't trust that they system won't get mucked up, since they're not disc based and there's no cleaning kit available. There for a while I was holding on to one of my original DSes just to rent games though.
