So my gf needed some juice boxes so we went to the local Zellers, and lo and behold what do I find?

Seven copies of Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection for 29.99.

I know some people here are looking for the collection and Zellers has them aplently.

For Toronto CAGers it's at Sheridan Mall in North York, the area's a bit sketch (I used to live 'round here 'till I moved to the outskirts of the city, I hated it) but if you're looking for MGS:TEC go there!

Their "entertainment" section is piss poor but they're there! Check 'em out.

Considering MGS:E is a relatively new product, it'll be silly that it'll be already. That and the fact it's MGS, you never run out of MGS software.

And if all else fails, you can always just order from play-asia:

I wish this was true for all MGS software! Been trying to find a copy of the Document of Metal Gear Solid for a reasonable price for some time now.

Either way, the concerns over it being semi-hard to find are justified as the first print run was quite small & many stores sold out quickly. I believe that's no longer a problem now that the second and subsequent print runs are out in stores.

Well considering I said 'software' and the Document is more of a movie that only plays on the PS2. :P

Splitting hairs aside, while I do realise MGS games can be hard to find (like Substance before Essentials came out), but they're more the exception than the rule.

Also, Essentials is being released solely to hype up MGS4 more than it actually is (kind of like the rerelease of the DMC 5th anniversary box before DMC4 release). Would Konami actually try to underhype the game and not sell it to as many people possible? Highly doubt that.

Since it's actually an interactive software and not a documentary in the traditional sense,

This is actually sorta rare in my area(Markham) so I might check this out before MGS4 comes out! Thanks.
