Didn't see this in any of my searches, but if it's part of a larger thread or is known already I can close this thread. It's not good on hardware, but should work fine for games (especially clearance ones since most stores currently have at least 20% off clearance).
If you're ordering online, you can use any of these codes:

It says "only original coupons accepted" in the fine print...I'm assuming this is a scan of an original??
Hopefully the online codes work though, thanks. :)

It is not a scan of the original, it is the original. Look at the URL. It is hosted on the TRU site.

It says "One coupon per guest". Since Toys R Us always asks for your phone number when you buy something, do they have some way of tracking whether you've already used a coupon? I realize we're talking about Toys R Us, here, but I was just curious.

Hmm...it would be a way of reducing the assraping of GT5P...

oh, my bad! :) i blame misunderstanding on a lack of sleep. Now this deal is even better, since I'm tired of arguing with Target cashiers about video games being electronics vs toys.
I wish saving money didn't require spending a lot in the process...darnit, CAG!!!

If only I had a TRU nearby like I have a Target nearby. :/
Shipping's ridiculous on online orders as well (basically the same $5).

I seriously doubt they are that concerned about limiting the coupon usage.
Besides, you could always decline giving them your information, I do it all the time. When they ask you for phone number, just say no thank you. ;)

The phone number thing is so R Us can send you their newsletter and mailings (Babies R Us does the same thing). If it was able to keep track of your purchases then you would no longer need a receipt for returns (like if you use the store credit card) which is not the case. Plus, more than one guest can have that phone number, so if anyone ever questioned you, you could just say "my roommate used one".

I wonder if you can use this for pre-orders. Like pre-order Mario Kart and pay the full 49.99 there, then use the coupon to get $5 off.

You can't do this in store. The system won't allow it.

Probably not. The FF:CC deal starts on Sunday and the coupon expires the day before that.

Darn, is TRU always competent? Because sometimes cashiers just swipe the coupon without looking and the computer is not updated. Especially if you go to the ones that look lethargic and indifferent.

What Final Fantasy: CC deal? I kind of liked the first one even though technically it had all sorts of problems, so I might bite on the sequel if it's cheap enough...
Anyway thanks for this coupon! I'm thinking I could go pick up Advance Wars or something.

Wow, my TRU actually had things worth buying. So much so that I had to put some stuff back.
Walked out with GT5P and Saints Row for $55, after tax and Autism donation.

I just want to point out that this "$5 off $25" does not work exactly like it sounds for clearance games. Whether the coupon is scanned first, last, or in any order, the $25 you must spend is AFTER the 20% discount.
For example, you buy two clearance games at $14.98 each.
Game A = $14.98
Game B = $14.98
TOTAL = $29.96 - 20% discount = $23.97
The total is $23.97, and the coupon cannot take effect in the system.
You must add a filler to boost over $25. Tax is applied at the very end.
That's my experience today. Anyone had any other experiences that did work as planned?

We walked into ToysRUs today and my wife mentions this coupon but said she did not print one out. I am like WTF? About 99% of the time my wife is super about printing coupons out and doing everything to save money so this one caught me by surprise. To make matters worse, TRU actually had a lot of 19.98 games with the addition 20% off that I was interested in. Long story short, we walked out with nothing and I complained like a spoiled child all the way home!

This is how TRU's register work. They changed this a few years ago after a couple employees took advantage of using multiple coupons on transactions. Before, TRU didn't keep track of it's store use coupons, and went by the total regular price. Now, since because of said employees, the coupons work based on what the final subtotal is. This is also the main reason most stores won't accept photocopied/printed coupons anymore.

The coupon can be used online and the TRU website currently has free shipping on all Sega games. Mystery Dungeon, I'm looking at you for $24.99 shipped :)

Not a video game (but good for a Lego Star Wars game collectable), but a good thing to use this on is the Luke Skywalker lego that was like $60 originally. Its $35 - 20% off (YMMV?) and which puts it right over $25 for the coupon.
They also had one left of the VGA cable for the 360, which I thought was going to be hard to find (plus I didn't know I was going to be at a TRU today), and I could have gotten that for like $8 instead of the $40 I paid.

There is another coupon at TRU. My wife was able to get one at the Customer Help desk. On the cover it has "Summer Fun, Passport ot Savings april 20th - May 3rd"
Included is the following:
$5 off $25
$7 off Panpers
$3 Formula
15% any one item
The kicker is that unlike the previous coupon, the fine print states not valid on video game hardware and software.
Perhaps TRU will not catch it early on about the software exclusion!
