The odd thing is that the stealth stuff in Phantom Hourglass is not anything that a casual gamer would want to do. It's got this odd mix of casual focus with some stuff that pisses off all but the most dedicated gamers. Weird.

PSP Slim, Car Charger, USB Cable (with the charger on it), and 2 GB Pro Duo for $100.

The pawn shop had it for a few days, I thought it had the charger when I went to get it this morning, turns out the guy tells me "it only has the car charger, that's why it's so cheap, you can't really use it unless you're going to charge it in your car". Seeing the USB cable / charger, and knowing I could just charge it through my PC, I smile and say "That's ok, I think my friend will let me borrow his".

I get home, I'm messing around with it, and notice there is a 2 GB memory card in there the pawn shop had no idea was in there, because I'm sure if they did they would have sold it seperately. All of that stuff for $100 was a steal.

I grabbed Patapon at Best Buy tonight just to test the system, and so far the game is great. I will probably grab FF Crisis Core and FFT at TRU on Sunday, too.

I barely ever get deals at pawn shops around here anymore, so I'm glad I found one so oblivious that they offered me such an awesome deal for so cheap. I sold my PSP phat to a guy while I was in NY for $80, so it's good to have one again.

I'm waiting till the summer where it'll come out on a physical disc as a bundle with SW2. I got a big backlog anyways. It really sounds awesome though. I haven't played DW6 and Warriors Orochi in a long time thanks to brawl.

I just finished some laggy TekkenDR online... man it sure is alot less fun than playing in real time. I've also decided to refocus my Tekken skills on Jack-5 and Dragunov more.

Yea, there are a ton of used AC adapters around for $8 or so, but I'm fine with the USB cable charger right now... since the PC is almost always on, it's simple to just plug it into that.

I'm just glad not one person in that pawn shop knew the first things about systems, for pricing it so cheap because "there is no way to charge it" and for not bothering to check for a memory card. I feel bad for the person who sold all that stuff, but I have a feeling they tried to dump it all at Gamestop, and they take the games but not the PSP because it doesn't have the AC adapter charger. I'm thinking this because the pawn shop had no PSP games whatsoever, but had the system (which had only been out for a few days according to the tag).

I feel bad for the person that got $40 - $45 cash for all that stuff, but oh well.

Patapon is a blast too.

After, I went to a different pawn shop about 5 minutes up the street (but part of the same chain), and found a ton of PS2 games for $25, and Viva Pinata used for the 360 for $30.

Not to mention a ton of Blu-Ray's STARTING at $29.99.

Gotta love how one person runs a kick ass pawn, and the other person runs a crazy one.

Yeah, I just watched this the other day too. I thought Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman really did an excellent job. Without them, I think the movie would have fallen flat.

Played a bit more Final Fantasy IX yesterday, but not much else. A friend of mine gave me his old video card (a geforce 6800), so I'm thinking about hooking it up and running my PC with two monitors so I look like an uber-hacker. 8-)

Well, out of all current consoles and handhelds, PSP is most definitely my favorite when it comes to the games out (and I'm talking by at least 2X or more over the rest). I own quite a bit of PSP games and love all (and getting rid of some PSP games recently was just really hard to do). But, there's no denying I am more of a console person and due to the weird setup of my TV (which makes it hard for me to play my PSP on the TV more), I end up playing consoles mostly, with PS3 usually being played the most (360 gets good amount of play time too).

My current honest situation is although I love the DS, I just haven't played it all that much. I got one over a PSP back in late 2005 due to hearing wonderful things about the DS. However, the majority of games I end up buying for DS, I find myself very disappointed in them and trading them away. Now I'm down to the 4 DS games I liked most (Elite Beat Agents, Mario Kart DS, Sonic Rush, and Yoshi's Island DS). The only games I traded away that I liked was both Castlevania games and Advance Wars: Dual Strike, but I didn't really have time to play them (I wish I did, but got severely stuck).

For an example, there were many RPGs I wanted, like Lunar Dragon Song, Contact, Magical Starsign, FFIII, Children of Mana, Mega Man Star Force, etc., but just didn't like any at all.

I stayed away from Etrian Odyssey since it isn't really a type of RPG I like. Front Mission is probably good, but I barely played my others which is kind of why I'm not sure about buying another. Although, I have not tried Luminous Arc (although I haven't heard too good about it), DQ Monsters Joker, and Rondo of Swords which I may like. However, the future does look better because I am looking forward to FFT A2 (previous one did VERY well on GBA), Summon Night Twin Age (not too into the idea of it being an ARPG, but I did love the GBA Summon Night games a lot), FFIV (my favorite SNES FF game), and The World Ends With You.

However, I was a pretty big fan of the GBA last gen and played it a lot.

Now, I know for sure PSP doesn't have much of a future release list (mostly because many of the games still need to get announced for stateside, like both Star Oceans), but it definitely has some key games I know I'll enjoy, on top of a bunch of other games that recently came out this year which I'm enjoying right now (like Crisis Core: FFVII, Wild Arms XF, and Wipeout Pulse), and need to still buy (GoW: CoO, Patapon, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice, and Warriors Orochi).

You left out one of my most anticipated SRPGs coming to the DS. Fire Emblem DS, which I believe is a remake of the first Fire Emblem game. I'm hoping it will come out before the end of the year, but I guess this is something we won't find out until E3. Nintendo has been very quiet about it since it was announced back in October.

becoz the game is all about movement, positioning, baiting, etc, it's extremely strategic.

You cannot win by being a high level. Higher levels definitely help becoz they unlock new abilities, but you still need to know how to use those abilities in your strategy in order to win.

Konami got really innovative with that first boss battle. You have to exit out of the game, go to the little game section and select "Warhawk". Then finally you can play on.

I'm really excited for the upcoming SNK Arcade Classics compilation, but I'm cautiously optimistic because of SNK's track record... I suppose I'll be the guinea pig for it though since I really wanna see if they managed to get the important stuff (Metal Slug 1, Baseball Stars 2, Shock Troopers) right... hopefully there's no in-game loading, censorship, odd glitches (like the lack of hitflashes in MS Anthology on the Wii), or general brokenness.

I attended my final class today as an undergrad student in college, as long as I pass the final presentation next week. Right now I'm working on my final report (trying to edit it), so hopefully I'll get the final report done soon.

I'm debating buying GTAIV. I really liked GTA SA, but I don't know which version of GTAIV to buy. DLC will only be a factor if it's more than just some missions. Missions = SUCK in GTA; driving around and doing jumps and shit is where it's at. Unless the missions are way better in IV. Plus, I wanted to wait and see about the PC version.

If I were to get GTA IV, I'd get PS3 version regardless due to free multi-player, most friends on my PSN. Also, I highly doubt the DLC MS paid over $100 or so million for (can't remember if it was that much) will be that big. But I don't care since I'm not GTA fan. I will likely buy Mario Kart Wii instead. :)

You are going to want a nice Black Angus Steak to really bring out the full body of the wine.

It was more of a drinking to get drunk thing for me in college then moving on and having some actual good beers that didn't' take like ass that sparked my love of beer. Not drinking stuff that tasted awful until it tasted good. More just drinking and eventually finding the good stuff and forming a love of beer.

I wouldn't say non-American. Just non mass produced. i.e Not coors, miller, anheiser-busch etc. Nor Corona or crap like that from other countries.

There are a lot of great American Micro Breweries churning out great beer. Stone, Southern Tier, Troegs, Lancaster, Lagunitas, Avery, North Coast Brewing Company etc. etc.

Warsteiner is ok, but it is fairly medicore in general IMO. Much better than your typical mass produced stuff, but I've never had any of their beers that were among the best of the particular style.

And there's always time for beer in moderation! I'm busy as hell with a full time job and working on a Ph D and I still have a good beer several times a week. No time to get drunk, but easy to find time for a great beer after dinner, before bed etc. One of the few pleasures in life! :D

Not terrible, but not a good sampling at all. All lagers except for Newcastle which is a brown ale. Sam Adams and Newcastle are both good, Yeungling is ok, the others I hate--terrible mass produced crap IMO.

You need to try some good stouts (especially Imperial Stouts and Oatmeal Stouts), IPAs, Porters, Hefeweisens and so forth. There are a lot of different styles of beer out there, and a ton of different breweries making very different takes on each style!

If it's any consolation , I never drank until I was legal to do so. I've had many friends tell me I must be lying. "Everybody drinks before they're 21" , not me.8-)
