Target had it at that price for a while now, and in some locations it is already being clearanced at $13.98 or lower.

Like I said before in one of these threads-- if you have absolutely any interest whatsoever in pinball, buy this. It's great.

It's all good. I actually posted the amazon deal here first before SD in the Target deal thread about this game, since I didn't want to create a new thread. If it helps inform people about a game they may like for a reasonable or low price, I'm all for it. :)

I don't think I need to <gasp> assuage anyone, but for the record, I didn't rip this deal from anyone--just found it on my own and happened to be the first person to post it here.

Brings back memories of playing Fun House during lunch period in high school. Also a good emulation of Whirlwind in this collection. Man, I miss pinball.

I grabbed this one at Target and it's probably the best pinball video game I've ever played. Fantastic deal at $20!

The PS2 version is $14.99 from Amazon too. It is missing two of the (older) tables and doesn't have the motion controls for bumping, but it does use the analog stick for bumps and it is still suppose to be great, so that's a good option if you don't have a Wii. I ordered a copy (of the PS2 version).

It has never been clearanced; please don't expect to go to Target and find this game on clearance. A few weeks ago when they first got it, the game was not entered in the price sticker system correctly and tags printed out saying it was $13.98 at some stores. It always rang up t $19.99, but some people have been able to sweet-talk their way into a price adjustment based on the incorrect sticker.

That's good to know about the Costco price typeRJ - thank you! I could not recommend this game more highly. It has been my most-played game by far since I got it a couple of weeks ago.

Yep, this is my most played Wii game ever, probably.. totally addictive, just like real pinball-- first video pinball game I've felt that "one more try and I'll get it!" feeling that you get on a real machine.

Well put. The "one more try" effect of this game is incredible. It keeps me up until way too late and I realize I have to get up for work in a few hours.

The douche bags who cheat Amazon by taking advantage of them with their generous customer service policies may have finally ruined it for the rest of us. The other day when Amazon took back our $10 price break on Wii Fit pre-orders, I could understand because it was likely a mistake and even if it wasn't, it probably ended up being a huge loss for them. No problem. But now I ordered this earlier when I saw this thread and when I was on the item's page and when I was in my shopping cart it was labeled as $19.99. But I was trying to checkout fast and just went through the checkout process so I could go do laundry. Then I see the recent posts in here say the deal is dead. So I checked my order. Between the Cart page and checkout for me the price must have been increased because my order says $29.99. So I e-mailed them for a possible price adjustment. I get a canned reply stating that prices change and having something in your cart does not guarantee the price will remain the same, blah, blah, blah. If I had let it sit there for two days before pulling the trigger, that would be fine. But this price drop and raise all happened way too quickly.

So thanks to all the jerks who have probably ended the era of Amazon's generosity by ordering something after a dead deal and then trying to get discounts and double discounts from the CSRs.

Off to cancel my $30 order now...

Sounds more like you missed out on the deal, than Amazon really screwing you over-- have people really gotten retroactive price matches on a price BEFORE you ordered?

Sounds more like you missed out on the deal, than Amazon really screwing you over-- have people really gotten retroactive price matches on a price BEFORE you ordered?I see people brag about it all the time. And where did I say Amazon screwed me over? Exactly. I didn't. I said nothing but comment on their past generosity with customer service. I have only had good things to say about Amazon in the past when others whine that they can't pull one over on them. I stated how unnecessary, but how kind it was of them to give us a $50 refund on HD DVD drives.

Amazon is an awesome company who has had more then lenient and trusting customer service. All I said is what I have said would eventually happen for a long time. People took advantage of them and they may be cracking down.

I know I simply missed the window for this price. I explained that in the e-mail and they shot me down. In the past they probably wouldn't have. Like HotD before it, Pinball will likely show up at $19.99 for a few hours at a time in the coming days, before jumping back to the normal price. I never criticized Amazon. This rant is just a continuation of my recently stated hatred for the selfish douche bags this site is getting more and more of that ruin things for the rest of us honest deal seekers.

Way to take my comment out of context, buttwipe. I said that if I had put the item in my cart and sat on it, trying to decide if I wanted it or not and in that time the item had changed price, that's tough beans. But this was real fast as in I put it in my cart, it said it was $19.99 and by the time I had pressed the checkout button the price was changed.

Try reading full statements and getting meaning from them rather than picking fragments and trying to make me look like I'm complaining about Amazon or that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Like I said, the same type of price drop will likely happen again in the coming days. I don't care about not getting the game. In fact, it's probably best because I have spent too much money lately and don't have much time to play games. My point of complaint is that whereas before, any honest person could likely get whatever they asked for out of Amazon CS, we may be finally turning the page to a time where Amazon has been screwed over by so many dishonest douche bags that honest requests from honest and frequent patrons are going to be routinely denied with a canned script instead of even being considered. I may be over reacting (and I hope I am) but Amazon has never denied me before (as I have always had reasonable requests) and now being turned down twice in about two days with the same type of situations that have been corrected in the past, no questions asked, is just a bit too "coincidental" to me.

Take it easy. I wasn't trying to make you look like you had no idea what you are talking about. Honestly your rant is so long I had a hard time figuring out your logic...but reading it back I see what you are getting at.

Anyway, you flew off the handle over one sentence so it's probably not worth having a logical conversation with you in the first place. Whatever.

Grrrrr, after I ordered this, went to my local Costco.
They had this for $15.99!!! They also had the SSX game for the same price.

Oh well, I bet a million dollars, if I never ordered it, Costco would never have carried it.

This is pretty neat, but a lot of pinball games seem to hail back from the classic solid state 80s machines. My parents were stingy on pinball machines (which ARE kinda quarter munchers for novices) so I never got to play these that much.

My heart is much more attached to the 90s dot-matrix display machines: Medieval Madness, The Addams Family, Attack from Mars, Theatre of Magic, Tales of Arabian Nights, etc...

If these were released....yeah....:bouncy:

As far as the Amazon bait-and-switch...I think we need some digital price setting consumer rights for Internet sales, i.e. prices are frozen for stuff once it is in your shopping cart.

It's not like they can run up to you in the store and tell you they need to restamp the price on the DVD in your hand because they raised the price, right? Even if they digitally change the
prices in at the store database, limited deals are usually mentioned in advance and not removed on a whims notice.

Or at least freeze pricing so it can only be changed once every 24 hours...or even 12...

This makes no sense. If brick-and-mortar stores could, they would adopt Amazon's business model in a second. Pricing based on stock is much more effective than the archaic way normal stores have to price things, and I suspect you'll find it's the very reason why most people like Amazon. It's hardly a "bait and switch" if you were never "baited" - you sought out the listing, Amazon didn't send it to you in an advertisement. Yeah, it sucks that their prices can change when it works out not in your favor, but what are the chances of you complaining if the same thing happened in reverse and the price on something drops while you are in the process of selecting it?

Have you even read the threads above here? A guy got ripped ten bucks extra after he had completed checkout. Every step of the way, it said $20 and when he finishes the checkout and looks at his receipt, it went up.

I don't mind so much that they change prices depending on stock (a new business model that works against the consumer only made possible with the net), but the price listed on the final page before hitting "submit payment" MUST be the amount they charge. Otherwise, that's fraud!
