just look at the disc, game case all that before buying. GS is (IMO) great for buying used games b/c you can return them, full price 7 days. Even if you don't like it, as that's a legit reason. Just go check it out, you can't go wrong w/ 25%-35% off

DOA 4 is very nice, but suffers a bit from being a launch title. Personally from a graphics standpoint its not nearly as polished as Virtua Fighter 5, but from a game play stand point its pretty easy to pick up and rumble with.

I'd probably browse around for DOA new from somewhere else for about the same, I think its been on clearance.

DOA 4 is very nice, but suffers a bit from being a launch title. Personally from a graphics standpoint its not nearly as polished as Virtua Fighter 5, but from a game play stand point its pretty easy to pick up and rumble with.

I'd probably browse around for DOA new from somewhere else for about the same, I think its been on clearance.
I'm not looking for anything too serious, so that's why I'm thinking DOA. I love Virtua Fighter games, but I have too much else to play to devote the proper amount of time to it.

I'm still considering going back to GS for some combination of Eternal Sonata, Perfect Dark Zero (price is right for CE at $8 imo), Beautiful Katamari, and DOA 4, though I may hold back because I think everything except PDZ is going to drop in price further by the time I actually get time to play them.

Yes, you can use the coupon all you want. A couple of times, I hit up all the local stores, even going to the same multiple times. I've never walked out and came back, but in theory, you should be able to do that, though you'd probably be pushing your luck there.

The DVD should be free with the game. I got my copy at GS over a year ago and each copy of Quake 4 they had (probably 3 or 4) had the Quake 2/Bonus disc in the case on the shelf. It was just a matter of picking the cleanest case. Then again, some GS' might either toss the discs or keep them behind the counter with the Quake 4 discs.

Call of Duty 4 is listed as $25 on the GS website. They don't have the 360 value for DMC4, but it's $24 on PS3, so I would suspect that the 360 version should be between $20 and $25. NFL Tour sells for only $25 used, so it's value is likely less than $10.

I went back to Gamestop brought another coupon (about 8 hours later) but I was not allowed to purchase another one. He said there is no stopping me if I wanted to go to the other stores in the area but at their store, they can only allow me one coupon with my Edge and that was it.

So, today I went to our nearby big city which had many Gamestops and EBs... printed 5 coupons and went to various stores...should have printed like 8 or so.

Anyway, what I did is I went in, used the coupon and had my wife go in after me to buy with another coupon after I left.

if the coupon rings up correctly, 35%. if there is a manual override, then 10% off of the price override (will be less than 35% off)

ymmv, rare games are almost always disk only defects but i am confident they have complete copies of madden 07 if you want it :)

Picked up Gun and Crackdown for about 25-26 bucks. I've played Crackdown before but I was very pleasantly surprised by Gun. I'm a sucker for western games (Red dead revolver was awesome) and Gun feels very similar but with more stuff to do.

Anyone that is a Western fan should try this one out. It isn't the prettiest game in the world but the production value feels good. The voice acting and music really stand out.

Yeah I probably would have played it too. I like that Red Dead Revolver did steal some things from The Good, the Bad, and the ugly like the part where you have to blow up the bridge. Whether they intentionally look at the movie and put that in the game might be unlikely but it was cool nonetheless.

I wish Gun had some type of "draw" mechanic like Red Dead Revolver where you could duel people.

These coupons come from emails sent from GS when you sign up for their weekly ad. If you want to use these coupons in that store you might talk to someone above this employees head so you don't have these problems in the future. Same here about Robot Alchemist Drive. thank god i didnt buy this at launch. i like single player games. my major gripes with this game is the save system (none, sometimes halfway checkpoint). so you have to re-do entire levels. one level in particular drove me nuts because joanna's dad kept running into bad guys when you are supposed to provide cover. granted, i'm not too quick, but he should have hid behind a wall or something, not in the open.:bomb:

it was decent, but nothing to write home about. usually i try to the harder difficulty levels for the achievements, but this game would have driven me crazy.

that was way too long.

on the bright side, i scored eternal sonata with coupon!:bouncy:

My feeling right now is for using this coupon and the Edge card, paying for two new games on the Xbox 360 is like 8-10 games used (under $20 games that is). So, this coupon is pretty rad... I don't usually buy a lot of Xbox 360 games but this coupon gave me a reason too.

Today I purchased (after reading a few people's recommendations) Test Drive: Unlimited (because I think it would be cool racing in Hawaii), Full Auto (because of the destruction), Gun and the Outfit (from recommendations on this thread) and Splinter Cell (since I own the other ones already) and I got Quake 4.

I saw Darkness was only $19.99 for 360 now, makes it $13 after Edge and coupon! The local GS had 7 copies of it, I will probably snag it Thursday. It's about the same price it would be on Ebay + shipping but it's waaaaay more conveinent to grab it at Gamestop.

Just got back from Gamestop, picked up Viva Pinata. I washed my Edge card which screwed up the sticker, so he told me to call customer service and get the number. It put me on hold, so I just decided to use the 25%, but he gave me the extra 10% too, which was very nice of him. So the total came out to $12.XX.

I do plan on also buying Crackdown, but I'm not 17 yet, so I plan on having someone else pick it up for me. :lol:

If I hadn't just recently bought a 360, I would buy some more games (this coupon is amazing), but I still need to get GTA IV and a Gold subscription next week. But CoD 4, GTA IV, Crackdown and Viva Pinata should last for quite a while.

Co-sign on this one. I'm not jumping on any of the newer games at $49-$54 even with the coupon + edge because I figure they will drop somewhere in the future or maybe we'll see B2G1 in the next month or so. But I am picking up a bunch of the games that work out to around $10. Haven't been able to find EDF yet though which is the only one I'm still looking for.

Also, I know they have to push pre-orders, but do they have to exaggerate/make up information to get me to put $5 down on GTAIV? This guy tells me they are limiting pre-orders and expecting it to sell out. Whatev. I'm sure I could roll in at 8:59pm on Monday night and plop down $5 to pre-order before the midnight sale. I also am willing to bet you will be able to find copies at every retailer under the sun on Tuesday, including the $90 version.
