WOW! That cellphone looks beautiful, sleek, sexy...........err, but I wonder what the price tag on it is? I'm thinking of switching over from Sprint since the over charges are really pissing me off and my contract is over in a month.

Am I the only person that refuses to carry a cell phone these days? If someone needs to get ahold of me, they're close enough to me to know where I am or be able to track me down. If I need to call someone, there are payphones allll over town. I detest having people being able to get ahold of me whenever they feel like it.

Oh.. and make your GODDAMN PHONE RING. Phones are not meant to play Britney Spears or Beethoven or Juvenile or some other poorly converted piece of crap music to tell you your phone is ringing... this is what they invented the RINGER for. [/rant]

1) Some of us aren't omnipresent and would like to be able to get in touch with family members and acquaintences when necessary.

2) Payphones are few and far between where I live. Besides, I don't want to rely on having 35 cents or whatever it costs to make a time-limited call.

3) If everyone's phone were just set to the regular ringtone, nobody would know whose phone is ringing. Wait a minute...you're just trying to get cell-phone bearers everywhere to be in chaos trying to answer their phone simultaneously, aren't you? Hmm...

Ugh. I have a Motorola, and I'm very disappointed. The phone works fine, but there are little issues that bug me. The battery life isn't even near the amount specified. And I can't charge my phone while it's on, or the ringer goes to the default setting. I talked to their customer service about this, and they called it a "feature". It would be better if they just acknowledged it was a bug.

Nice looking phones, but I'll stick with a Treo.

You must not have too many friends.
And could you imagine what the world would be like if everyones cellphone had the same ringer? Chaos...everytime a phone rings half the room would have to reach in their pocket just to check if its their phone.

The phone does look slick, but I'll question the durability of it. It looks so thin and light that it would break if I breathed on it too hard. I'm a clumsy SOB so my phone needs to be able to take a few shots. Also, I dunno about the aluminum casing or whatever. Seems like it'd make it heavier than necessary and if I left it my car on a sunny day (which I do at work) I'd probably have a Motorola symbol burned into my hand like the guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark, I mean you ever grab your seatbelt buckle after a hot day? That smarts, and I don't want my cell phone doing the same.

As for you questoin about Motorola and T-Mobile, my phone is a Motorola and it seems to work just fine with T-Mobile's service.

I beleive the ringer was invented because they couldn't get Brittany Spears as the ringer yet.

However, cell phones are the future and you can't fight it. Eventually, everyone will have thier own personnel number that will be unique to them. Eventually cell service providers will charge a flat rate (with unlimited minutes) similar to AOL.

I personnally need a cell phone for what I do. It is a lot more efficient than looking for a pay phone (especially since I don't carry change - I use my credit card for everything.)

OMG no shit. That shit is so annoying. The only positive experience I've had with that was when I was working and this jock-type had NSYNC music as his ringtone. If you work at GS, you start to think things like that are funny....

I have 3 ringtones on my phone...the 007 theme, the Mario Bros. theme and the Indiana Jones theme. But if I had NSync on my phone I'd ask you to kill me right away for being a tool.

LMAO!

I can just imagine if other companies started doing that.

Me: "Um, every time I load Evercrack my computer crashes!"

Tech Support: (Doing the Jedi mind trick finger wave) "Yes, er, thats our newest feature.. it is NOT a bug. A feature...."

Me: (drooling zombie voice) "...feature.......feeeeature.. OK. bye"

My friend has the Razr V3 phone, and it's nice. I have the V600 which rocks as well, but his phone is much more pimp than mine. He works for technology company that does a lot work with Motorola, Microsoft, ect. So he gets stuff months before it ever hits the streets. Don't even get me started on his Halo 2 beta testing on Xbox.
