How can I hook up a 360 to it and have sound as well? The monitor itself does NOT have speakers, so I'd have to use my PC speakers or something similar.

I know I could buy a VGA to HDMI adapter to hook up the 360 to it, but I'd still be stuck for sound.

How can I do this CHEAPLY without buying alot of extra crap?

Thanks for all of your help in advance....

Easy just get the Official 360 VGA Adapter which is on clearance at TRU. The sound would have to be rerouted to an external speaker system, so if you have a speaker system with multiple inputs, then your good to go. I'm running my 360 off my 22 inch Gateway monitor which has DVI/VGA inputs. Just 3 taps of a button and I can switch between the inputs.

I have the exact thing setup that you described. My 360 has terrible lag on my 32" TV, so I run the 360 on my 19" LCD through VGA and I run the sound plugs into an adapter into my computer line in, which then plays over my headphones/speakers on my computer. I forget the name of the adapter, but Monoprice carried it for like 4 dollars shipped or something.

As a question, I have a lcd onitor 1920x1200 that has component and hdmi inputs, also vga. What is my best bet. I got my ps3 hooked up to the hdmi and my 360 to the component. Should i get a vga or is component good enough?

That was basically the same set up I had.

Now I bought a pair of wireless headphones (http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS120-Wireless-Headphones-Charging/dp/B0001FTVEK) and have it hooked up for sound via a pair of couplers I picked up at Radioshack for $5

Thanks for the info, though had I known I could do it this way, I would've saved my buddies surround sound setup he got from a friend of his to jack into somehow. I say this because I don't want to have to set up the sound through my pc or whatever, since my pc is downstairs and my room is UPstairs. Although, I'm sure I could find a nice, cheap little system from Kmart on clearance.

Oh and ITDEFX, nice little cartoon on the bottom of your post there.

I think I am going to stick with component cables. They seem to work fine. Plus I can get sound through them without having it go to another source. My monitor has built in speakers. Or maybe I'll get a hdmi switch.

I would just stick to component. I would hate to spend the money and see no improvement. I bet the 360 looks awesome on that, too.
