It looks like its the lowest rated out of the Sega Bass Fishing games(Gamerankings), but they are all very low rated. Secondarily, fishing games in general look like they tend to rate low. You'd have to find some first hand accounts to get a better idea.

I know how ridiculous this is going to sound, but this game is AWESOME. I've only ever been fishing once in my life, but I'm pretty sure this isn't realistic AT ALL.

Back in '99, at E3, I saw the game with the fishing controller for the Dreamcast. After playing it for a few minutes on the show floor, on the drive back up from LA, I swung by Network Video (the local import shop) and bought the import version WITH the fishing controller on the way home.

A friend of mine and I would spend hours trading off the controller. Half the fun was the terribly localized voiceovers. "Small one!" "Enjoy your fishing!" Great stuff.

The new version has some measure of "waggle" control, and it works reasonably well to replicate the action of the old DC fishing controller. It's got more modes, more stages, etc. I really, really enjoy the game. Sure, part of it at this point is nostalgia, but I'd encourage people to give it a shot. It's one of those surprising games that's a hell of a lot more fun than it has any right to be.

Not bad... thought it was a pretty good deal at 29.99. $19.99 is great.

NOT tge greatest deal though.
It seems that the same game is 15.99 at Costco B&M
and I got it for 11.99 last month at Costco (and a few other Wii games)

Yeah...$15.99 and I would have bit. (Testing the "Amazon reads CAG" theory from yesterday here... :D)

I'll get it whenever it drop down $10 or less. $20 is still expensive for 10 years old game.

Got it at Costco during the $11.99 sale. My six year old son likes it but I had enough of it after 30 minutes.

Can't belive I'm picking this up for my nephew, when of course, I had this (and I think the follow-up) for the Dreamcast.
