I'm surprised anyone admitted to button mashing. I've found most people that do it rarely acknowledge it.

I'm proud to say that I'm a button masher. I dont really care that much for fighting games but if I play with my friends they don't know what they're doing either, so its amusing to watch.

The poll is terribly constructed. You can button mash with controllers or a joystick. You could button mash on a controller with some games, play properly on a joystick on others... etc. Just too many multiple answer posibilities.

I use normal controllers and try to do combos, but Im not very good at fighting games, so often I just button mash.

I button mash against one of my brothers. He has the amazing ability to find the cheapest tactic with each character in every game and use it over and over again. He loves to play DOA 3 because he does it best in that game. I don't have enough time to pull off a decent counter so I usually just slam buttons in frustration.

Thankfully my other brother doesn't use such tactics and the rounds actually resemble something similar to what they should.

I go out and spend $20 on Virtua Fighter 4 and then go "daaaaaaaang, there are HOW many combos for each character?"

Then I spend 2 hours screaming at the stupid tutorial that I can't even pass....

Then I give up and mash some buttons and get stomped by the comp on easy....

Then I chuck the game out the window and beat my head with the controller.
