PC xbox 360 wireless controller

anyone know why when i connect my controller to recharge it's battery through the usb cable. the red and green lights don't appear? bad battery or does it have to do with the controller being for the pc?

I recharge mine through my PC all of the time. I would assume that the battery may be bad or you aren't getting a good connection.
