Ok so I am looking to trade in some games to get GTA IV for the 360. Because the CAGwiki is a little outdated (most recent prices are still from 2007!) I wanted to ask everyone's opinion on what my lot would fetch at a Gamecrazy.

1.) Working Xbox original console with all hook ups and one controller

2.) 6 Xbox games- Dead or Alive 3, Brute Force, Red Faction II, Battlefield 2, Rogue Ops, and Max Payne 2.

3.) 6 Xbox 360 games- Chromehounds, All Pro Football 2K8, Armored Core 4, Kameo, MUA/ Forza 2 Pack, and PGR3 PH.

Do you guys think I could net $60 for all of this or am I still dreaming? Thanks!

Where would you suggest exactly? Amazon, eBay, etc? I would like to get the money fast and I would rather not spend a dime on GTA IV lol. Thanks!

I would recomend putting the Xbox and games on a 1 or 3 day auction on Ebay wth a $60 starting bid. but that all depends on how much Ebay feedback you have, If you have good feedback it will sell, if you have no feedback there are odds that it wont.

Actually I do have good feedback, 100% to be exact, but that's only from buying items. I have never sold any items and I am hesitant on the shipping costs of the Xbox and such.

After looking at eBay for just a minute, it seems like most people are selling their systems and games for around $20-$50 without shipping costs added in yet. Does that sound about right?

Edit: Actually it looks like I can get way more for it on Amazon. I'm thinking of just bundling together with the games and selling it for $75.00 even without shipping added in.

It depends on how many games and what games. If I were you i would look at what others are charging for shipping and charge acordingly. Most of your orignial xbox games are low-end, so GC would give you crap for credit, but to an Ebayer they make a nice package when put together.
IMO.
Joel.

Try taking the 360 games to Blockbuster. You might get close to $60 there (roughly $8 per, maybe more).

Oh ok great! I really had no idea. I thought that the selling feedback was the most important because that's what I look at usually.

Blockbuster? I didn't know they took trade ins or even sold games. Do they have a game outlet in the store like Holleywood Video/Gamecrazy? Hmmm now you got me thinking...

P.S. I love the avatar you got there! That is such a great show. Hopefully season 2 comes out on dvd soon. It's been killing me to wait.

Alot of users just look at the feedback number and the %.

Blockbuster has the trade-in integrated with the front counter. They will even give quotes over the phone. the good news is also that all Blockbusters got in tons of coppies of GTA IV....and you also get a special Wile Supplies lasat framed GTAIV Picture.

All Blockbusters do game trade-ins. Their values tend to be considerably higher than Gamestop and Gamecrazy (though Gamecrazy will match their trade prices occasionally). Most Blockbuster's sell new games (the big games, at least), and most sell used games as well.

The in-store branch at Blockbuster is called Gamerush. We've got a whole thread devoted to them in the deals section - I picked my copy of GTA4 up there this morning and got the Blockbuster exclusive framed art print.

Hope that helps. I'm pretty sure the MUA/Forza pack is worth at least $22-ish at Blockbuster. The rest are probably anywhere from $6-8 each. Don't know if they'll give you much for the Xbox stuff, but for current-gen games, they're pretty solid.

Blockbuster also just made a corporate desicion to take on Gamestop and add alot more game related items to stores(even non gamerush stores) so their game section should get awsome by teh end of summer.

I seriously had no idea. I've never heard of a Gamerush around here in Arizona. All of our Blockbusters are just stand alone stores but I will call and ask them tonight what their trade in values will be for my games. You just seriously made my day, thanks! Hopefully I'll be playing GTA IV tonight after all...sweet!

I was a manager at blockbuster in arizona for a year or so and yeah they've had games forever. The trade in thing is about a year and a half old and they promoted it heavily when they started it but yeah it's not really promoted anymore but they all still do it.

Very nice! Yea I had a friend who worked there back in high school but he said it was a total sh*t hole to work for. He hated it so much that he quit after like a month so yea. Well as soon as I am out of class, I am totally hitting up BB with a phone call and asking them what the trade in values will be on those games.

Honestly, thank you all for the help! I've been looking forward to GTA IV for a while but being a poor college student (yea I know it's cliche, but it's true lol) I haven't had time or the money to get it lol. Figues.

Quick question before I trade in to BB, do I need to have a membership there to trade in?
