I dont think it will reinvent the wheel but it should be fun. I am sucker for these types of games and I cant believe I missed the first one of these after having played even some of the worst Diablo knock offs. I am in Mythos now and loving it so I am sated till this one drops.
Excellent. Between this and Too Human, it looks like my "rare lootz" needs will finally be met.

How is Mythos? I kept thinking it was going to see some kind of final release, so I missed out on my chance at it.

You can still get in right now. I am liking it so far. A bit basic in many respects but fun and good to play while your listening to an audio book or pod cast.
I will be on this game like me on a crack rock

Looks really good. I enjoyed the first one on PC, it was the best D2 style game at the time. I'll definitely be getting this when it comes out.

Ooh, so this is sort of like Diablo? Does it use randomly generated levels with certain set events like the Diablo games?
Never heard of it before today. Will be watching. Thanks!

Ok guys, Game releases next week
Is that official? I've been keeping an eye on this because all the talk about it seems promising.
Edit: I guess it is being released next week, I'm super excited. I'll probably trade some stuff in and pick it up on day one. If anyone else grabs it add my GT and we can quest together. My GT is Nealocus.

I was suprised that this game didnt show up in any sales papers this week. Given the extremely limited amount of games in this genre you would think it might sell decent on that fact alone, at least for the PS3. I ordered it for the PS3 from Amazon and hope it arrives by Friday like the site says.

Yea I'm going to keep my eye on this game. It looks interesting but I've been hearing about issues on the PC side and then I get flashbacks of Two Worlds...yuck.
I think I am going to go pick this up in the next hour or so and play it till the Cows come home. I have been reading hands on impressions and it sounds awesome. I love the Hack and slash games.
So If wants to play look me up I will be on.

Due to some pretty average reviews (60% from 3 major sources) I'm very hesitant to pick this up. I try to only buy one game a month (if that) at MSRP and I dunno if I'm willing to risk it on this.

I played this last night from 9pm to 4am, its so damn addicting. I also played with three other people online and damn framerate held up very well for what the reviewers would make think. This game will no doubt consume my gaming time for a long time. One thing that I really enjoyed in this game is teleport (click on team mates or way points on the map and bam your their) This game easily gets a 9.5.
I also enjoyed the grave that said "Reserved for all Critics" yes AMEN to that

Feel free to post the install size and performance on HDD versus DVD. It sounds like a lot of the problems could be solved by installing the game to your HDD. Can't wait to get this, just waiting for it to hit $40 or my Goozex copy to ship out (14th in line :-().

Tom Chick lost me at the first paragraph
"Action-role-playing games grew up in corridors. Some have wide corridors, and some have randomized corridors, but they're all corridors that lead from a starting town hub to a final boss fight. Sacred 2 doesn't stand for that. You go where you want, for as long as you want, and even when you want."
Sacred 2 disguises its corridors into shrubs; They don't look like wall, but you can't walk through them making them very much like...corridors.

Didn't even know about this game till yesterday when I started looking for any upcoming online co-ops.
quick question, does advancing in single player quests have any effect in co-op? As in are there separate main/side quests between single and co-op? Any more info would be great. Just looking for another online co-op type game for me and some of my friends.

I was wondering the same, I just got it (haven't had a chance to start it, probably when I get home tonight I will). Can I play through the main quest/story with friends? Or is that reserved for solo time?
Also -- I'd love to have a group to play with tonight, preferably people just starting like me or with a new character (don't want to be spoiled by power leveling or anything if it works like that in this game!). So if you want to play and need another teammate let me know! :]

And no ,the original quest doesn't differentiate itself. Only on the Quest menu, it'll have class quests or something like that on a different tab as the others, and that's your main one.

So it seems fellow-CAGS are really enjoying this game.... i am def interested in picking it up for the ps3. Has anyone come across instances where the game fully crashes? It seems like diablo clones are famous for this, ie: titan quest!
Any slow-down to speak of that hinders how fun it is?
Raconteur
05-16-2009, 08:07 PM
No crashes, only sometimes it takes like 1-3 seconds to load here and there, but only in big towns in some places as far as I saw so far. I haven't even installed it to my HD, so that would probably help it x2. It's not enough to ruin anything.

The game is really confusing to me.
How do I level up combat arts? Should I only be focusing on certain types of combat arts? (I'm a shadow warrior, any advice would help).
I also don't really know how relics work. And I found a pearl that can be placed in grey weapon slot, but I don't know how to get it in there.
Lastly, what are the combinations at the bottom of the Combat Arts screen.
I'm only an hour in and I feel pretty lost :/
Raconteur
05-16-2009, 09:14 PM
I only have about 6 hours in myself, and I was lost for most of it, but little by little things started making sense. You just have to trial and error and keep on going. Thing become more clear the more you play and makes it that much better. I'm not really sure of the answers to those questions myself, I haven't even scratched the surface of the game.

I'm digging the game so far. It's been awhile since I've played anything like this on a console, maybe not since MUA? A little more depth here of course. it's definitely a game you can easily lose track of time with, which is good and bad.
So I'm assuming if you're worshiping Ker and you summon a demon there's no way to dismiss it? Otherwise, having it chase me around did get me to explore more of the map, just not willingly
seanr1221
05-17-2009, 07:56 AM
Ok I'm starting to understand more.
You should apparently only focus on one combat art (so you can become a master in it). However, you shouldn't focus on it early, as the regen time will hold you back.
So right now with my shadow warrior I'm focusing on physical sword attacks.
I think later down the line I might focus on summoning a little too.
How do I level up combat arts? Should I only be focusing on certain types of combat arts? (I'm a shadow warrior, any advice would help).
You level them up by finding more like any drop, you can also swap them at a Combart art master in towns. Putting one point in each is fine, after that its really how you wanna make your toon, longer recharge time the high level but more damage.
I also don't really know how relics work. And I found a pearl that can be placed in grey weapon slot, but I don't know how to get it in there.
Relics work like equipment that you equip up to 6 of them they mainly add to your defense and give you some skill points like Riding and a few others there is only 6 total they can add to.
Lastly, what are the combinations at the bottom of the Combat Arts screen.
When you go to the combart Arts screen you can create combo's that let you do up to 5 moves at once with one cast. That why you can do some crazy combo's, plus its a achivement.
I love this game I am level 34 right now.

I always buy multiplatform games for PS3, but I went 360 on this one, because I think the 360 will have more players online and better servers. Also, being able to install the game helps a lot. The load screens aren't bad, but since the game is just one giant world, it has to pause mid-play often to read the disc and load more data. Installing the game helps out with that significantly.

You must be my peeps. Those games are my favorites. I just ordered Sacred 2 from gogamer for $50 5 minutes ago.
The metacritic score is over 70 (75 right now), which I think is a pretty strong showing for a game that does nothing new, and doesn't even try to be the best. It's a hack n' slash grind, and it's what I've been waiting for. I hope. I hope it meets some success as well.
I am friends with one of the guys on the dev team (in Germany), and I heard they are working on bug fix updates. I don't really know what will make release or not (if anything), but it's nice to hear that even though the company is in bankruptcy proceedings, that they are trying to support the game.
It's too bad they don't have a demo. It could rope in a few players who are uncertain about the title.

I think you'll find that you'll be pleasantly surprised. I played Diablo extensively and Champions of Norrath a lot as well, and I find that this fits somewhere in between those two. The best way I can describe it is an impressive blend of the two with a very engaging, sophisticated, and enjoyable skill system.

I don't understand what the frame rate issues in this game are. Granted I have only put in about an hour or two and have yet to experience any battles of epic proportion, but I still have had absolutely no lag on the Xbox 360 side.
Also, I don't understand why people are bad mouthing the graphics, they look great to me. I would even put them above average, especially for this type of game.

Frame rate issues do exist, but it isnt that bad. I play a High Elf fire dealio, its a lot of fun gathering up a crap load of bad guys and just incinerating them all. Its like AOE farming from WoW all over again.

Here's my opinion on the game for those on the fence.
Sacred 2 isn't the most technically sound game ever made, but it's a lot of fun, especially if you enjoy dungeon crawlers like Diablo 2 or Champions of Norrath. If nothing else, it'll tide you over until Diablo 3 comes out :)
I am level 39, and I have a level 38 Seraphim Set Item if anyone has any Set Items for the Shadow Warrior and level 40.

I'm a level 5 Shadow Warrior and I'm just now figuring everything out. I've combined the jump skill along with one of the hard attacks and it seems to do awesome in combat. Also I'm using the warrior stamina buff. I do have a question though. There are 15 skills, so should I just learn every single rune I find that's related to my class? The whole rune system is the one part I am confused about.

The more runes you "eat", the longer the recast time of your abilities, so it's best to pick a few (maybe 8 or so different Combat Arts) and improve on those while keeping the regeneration time reasonable. You want to keep your recast times and regeneration % low.

That makes sense. Is there anyway that I could delete a rune I already "ate"? Luckily I took all the ones I was interested in except I have two buffs, one of which I could go without. If not no big deal I guess, but I'm guessing there has to be a way.

Nah, once you consume a rune, it's permanent. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. One rune won't kill you. Also, you can (and probably will) create additional characters, so don't be too worried about using your first character as a learner.

You don't need to worry about that stuff too much. I still haven't had a problem after 4hrs of playtime. Besides they have announced an update in the near future addressing said issues as well as some other fixes.

DUDES! Has anyone ran across the quest 'Blind Guardian'? It's involving the metal band that sings the theme and it is probably the best quest I have ever played on an RPG. The quest itself is very simple, but still fun and creative. Basically you go around with the lead singer and help him find his and his bands instruments that were stolen by skeletons.
I don't know how to make spoiler tags so if someone can inform me I'll let you know how the quest ends and what the rewards are, which is the best part.

"Sacred 2 is a superior port of the PC version that was released last year due to a streamlined interface that keeps the capabilities of a console controller in mind. Technical shortcomings coupled with the repetitive combat and quests endemic to the genre hinder the game from achieving absolute greatness... For genre veterans and devotees, Sacred 2 is a competent and addictive addition for the game collection."

Yes, two people on the same console can connect with two other Live players. 2nd player can play as a guest or load their own account.
So, is it beneficial to consume runes if I already learned the specific combat art? I'm accumulating a lot of runes and I might as well trade them in unless there's an actual difference between the amount you memorize.

I just restarted the game and it updated fine. Now as I progress through the story I'm starting to experience little quest bugs here and there, however no where near the amount that makes it frustrating. Hell any game with over 500 quests is okay to have a few bugs every once in awhile

You guys seem to have a lot of passion for this game, and I am going to pick it up because it looks like a blast, but man this game has had some wild reviews. IGN and Gametrailers seem to hate it. As I posted in another thread you almost always have to add 1 or 2 points to reviews when it comes to any sort of RPG game (Final Fantasy 2 [or 4 outside the US] got a 7 out of 10 from one of the EGM reviewers when it came out) But a 5 out of 10 from gametrailers?

I dunno, I'll check out Gametrailers and see what they think. I mean, I like it because I've been trying my hardest to find a Gauntlet / Diablo / Titan Quest game for console and this just totally hits the spot. With some interesting character classes and some insanely cool looking armor this game just works. Plus it's something I can see myself playing for a long...long time.
It's not without it's flaws though. I mean you can't customize your characters looks wise, there are some loading issues (ONLY when in towns, not when your in the huge world), and a few of the quests can get buggy (but eaisly fixed).
I can't wait to play online but I want to wait untill the patch comes out because as of right now you can't trade with your friends and I've heard of it leading to problems with the collection of quest items.
Edit: After watching Gametrailers review I'm glad to tell you that you have nothing to worry about. I usually trust every review they do EXCEPT this one. I could go through and point out a counter to everyone of their negatives but I'm not going to. The quests do stay true to the guard / find / kill RPG type, but which one doesn't? Audio and video glitches are YMMV as myself and other CAGS have yet to report any.

Gametrailers gave it a horrible review, 5.3 i believe. Don't go by what they say. Your best bet is to go to Metacritic and check the reviews for the game there. They list all of them, from IGN, to GameSpot, to 1UP.

Also, a friendly reminder, remember to save every now and then.
Experienced my first game crash yesterday. All of a sudden I was unable to move, no music, no response from my controller. Had to press the system's power button and restart. Luckily this only happened after I leveled up once so it wasn't an issue to get it back nor did I find anything valuable during that time.
However, had this happened the day before when I leveled up 5 or 6 times, forgetting to save, would definitely not be a happy camper.
I will be playing after this Basketball till about 7:30 a.m. I got a 12er of Rolling Rock so I am good to go. If ANYONE wants to play. I would be more then happy to help anyone get anything done. Just got my special mount today, it's pretty badass. Logg, how are you leveling up; quest after quest or are you grinding? Also, how long is the main quest? I just got to the Orc city and I'm level 21, is there much more? And I'm totally down to quest tomorrow after like 5PM PST. What happens with the loot in multiplayer? Is it assigned or if one of us accidently hits LB we get it all and can't trade? I don't wanna accidently ninja shit from people.

The PS3 version is better than the 360 now. However there is a patch on the way to fix all the bugs as well as online trading. I would suggest you go with the 360 version as it will have the most people online at any given time. Or with whatever you friends bought if you know anyone that bought it.

You have a choice in the beginning of the game that allows you to choose your desired level gap while playing online. If I remember right it's 0, 5, or 10 levels. So even with the max option your still too far ahead of him. Creat a new character for shits and wait till' he catches up.

I have my main at 51 now, another at 15 and another one at 14, which I am trying to beat without dying, buying stuff or Exploring the map. I do a lot of quest I got that achievement for doing 40% of the side quest when I still in Act 2. The only time I would say I really "grind" is when I am in a group and we go though the desert or swamp and just clear everything really quickly.

I got a lightsaber
Seriously? A real lightsaber? Or a sword that looks like one?
I created a mage (I totally forget her class name) after getting frustrated with my Shadow Warrior and I'm having a shitload of fun with her. I also put the story on Silver (something I forgot to do on my first toon) so the difficulty is harder, but way way more fun. Lastly while doing some of the beginning quests I came upon a door the was locked but looked like it could be open. I looked it up on Google and turns out you have to go between these random houses and click on a random rock that gives you a key. The door leads to a pirate bay filled with nasty pirates and the end result is you find their huge treasure! I love these quests more and more as I play.

I think in order to get a lightsaber, you need a bargaining skill of 4 to 6. I believe they're also only obtainable in the first town on Bronze. They're called something completely different, but the weapon icon and the actual skin when equipped is a lightsaber.
I got it at level 15 in Silver my bargaining skill is I think 24 or something at level 15. They are called light energy Swords, Its pretty sweet it had 2 slots I put it on a level 15 and she one shots everything I fight.

From what I understand about PAL games on NTSC consoles you will only experience problems with the graphics if your playing on certain standard definition tvs. Since you got the game to start up it should work fine gameplay wise.

The current patch does the following according to the developer's posts on other boards this morning.
· Player-Trade on a single console added
· Preparation for future DLC via the new implemented in-game marketplace added. This also affects the IMP that will be available after Microsoft has done some internal changes tonight. Pls try this out later today.
· A change to the save game routine has been made to avoid a loss of the user’s save game
· A fix for a teleport problem when entering a specific dungeon (“Undead Legion” quest)
· A fix for a calculation problem in the leaderbards has been added
· Changed the names of the invite option from “everybody”/”friends only” to “public”/“private”
Another patch with some more fixes is in approval and available shortly through the wonderful Xbox Life services. We will keep you updated.

I'd argue the exact opposite (i.e. that it is worth more than most other games).
I was looking at a few reviews and noticed the below from IGN. It explains why some of the review nailed the game for stuff like frame rate issues that aren't experienced in the retail version.
[Editor's Note – The original Sacred 2 Xbox 360 review we posted last week was based on a 100% complete "Gold Master" version of the game (the version sent to manufacturers for retail reproduction). That version of Sacred 2 was approved for review by publisher CDV and played by IGN editors using our Xbox 360 debug unit, something not available to the general public. After our original review was published, CDV brought to our attention that there was a possibility of manufacturing errors with Gold Master copies of the game which may have been responsible for some of the technical issues noted in the review. We obtained a second copy of the game, this one a final retail version, for comparison and have indeed found a few differences. We have amended our original review so that it is reflective of our experience with the retail game.]

Don't do like I did and get to the end of the campaign and die on the last boss because you weren't paying close enough attention to your health.
Not that I want to die anyways since it removes my Survival Bonus, but it completely sucked since I was going for that achievement.

So if myself and friend played together, the host's game will make progress, while the visitor's won't? But what about the visitor's character, does his character retain experience and things? What about achievements? Is the visitor eligible?

I have a question for people who go online (and host) with others since it's been bugging me. When you host, can you invite people to a "Continued" game or do you always have to start a new game?
I find myself having to always start a new game to be able to invite people, as do my friends. It really sucks because it erases all the progress we completed previously if we were doing something like the main campaign. It's a major peeve of mine with the game right now.
Does your SB drop back down to 0%?
Yep. I was around 60% or more at the time too, oh well.
So if myself and friend played together, the host's game will make progress, while the visitor's won't? But what about the visitor's character, does his character retain experience and things? What about achievements? Is the visitor eligible?
Visitor gets:
- Experience/Levels & Loot in inventory
- Survival Bonus/Kill Count/Death Count
Visitor doesn't get:
- Quest credit
- Map exploration (I think)
- Items left in the hero chest (Pretty sure)
- Campaign complete credit
- Achievement credit from most achievements (Basic ones obtainable like reach x level with x class and such, but not quest, campaign ones, etc)
Host gets:
- Everything
I'm not sure how true this is in local co-op however.

I play on the PS3 and when I hosted, I thought the same thing you did, that I had to start over. If you're playing on Silver, you have to go down to that first and than go back up to select continue campaign and you should be good to go.
Also I think the Hero chest works in online also.

I just checked and yeah, it does say continue campaign. I never noticed it saying that before the patch though when I went there. Odd.
I know it does for the host, but when a friend joined my game (before the recent Xbox patch) he didn't have anything in his hero chest in my game. Which I thought was odd since it's suppose to be a universal thing across all of his characters.
I was a visitor for my friend for a while and just finished and it said my guy had now 5.x% of the shadow campaign done, that I did with my friend? I'm so confused about this game.
Yeah I know it says it. I just hopped onto my character that I've only done on my friends host and while the % was there, my main quest was at the very beginning.
I believe I heard something where you might be able to quit the game right after you finish the last boss, load up your game and possibly just warp to the last area and possibly finish it off. I'm not entirely sure, but I've read countless times that you don't get completed credit for campaign when you're not host.
Your teleports are saved thankfuly so I could possibly see that working.
EDIT: I'll try testing it as soon as I can. Unfortunately the people I play with don't have time to play very often so it may be a few days or longer before I can confirm.

Yeah there's honestly pretty much no purpose of playing with friends online if your going to lose your progress. =\
The Only progress you lose is the number of quests done. You keep your EXP, your Items, the quest rewards everything. I mean thats the point of the game, why would you play this game for a story or ending, I have played over 80 hours across a few different characters and I have yet to read one line of text or story or anything. You could never beat the game just keep playing with friends and get to Niob and level 200 which is the whole point. Then obv you could rush though silver or something for a ending.

You need to beat Silver campaign to unlock Gold and go on and so forth. Without campaign progress saving in an online game, you don't get to progress to the next difficulty unless you beat it while you're the host. You have to do this for every character if you're playing campaign (which actually saves progress [like quests] unlike Free World). Free World on the other hand, I believe you can play higher levels so long as you've unlocked it on at least one character.
It's a real pain in the ass for people who strictly got this for online co-op and want achievements. It's also a pain for unlocking higher difficulties via online, unless I'm mistaken (and believe me, I hope I am). I don't personally care about side quest progress saving, I just wish the campaign progress would for the benefits you get from going through it.

I definitely notice a lot of tearing, yes. Not serious enough for it to bother me though.
EDIT: About the lag, since I just started a Blazing Tempest High Elf, I do get lag fairly frequently when a lot of enemies die at once. I usually mob quite a few up before I start casting and then my screen is just filled with damage popping up all over above the enemies.

I just got this and find it so big that it's almost overwhelming. I finished one quest and took on like two or three and then called it a night because I couldn't really figure out how to get to wherever these quests were anyway. I'm not sure if I like this or not, I mean I want to, but the camera is weird, combat is a little sluggish, and it's not exactly ideal for navigation on a controller. This is for a review, so I've got to put in my time, so if anyone is interested in getting a game sometime this weekend, I generally play at night, I live on the West Coast and I'm a High Elf.

It takes some time to get used to it. Just don't stress out about it. There's a ton of stuff you don't have to worry about if you don't want to. You'll pick up on stuff as you go along. If you think the camera is weird just zoom out all the way and leave it there. It forces that perspective when you play same console coop and it works well that way.
Make sure you set the camera to Static at least that worked the best for me.

I'm still on the fence with this one. I definitely want to check it out but I can't quite commit to paying full-price-ish for it. I mostly see it compared to WOW and Diablo; does it play like WOW with an actual story? I never got into Diablo because I can't stand click-to-move setups, which is obviously not a factor in a console game. Basically, CAG, make me buy it.

WoW has a ton of stories to it if you actually follow the history of Warcraft (mainly from the books). There's just no singular main story in the game like you're use to.
I will get a 1000/1000 on this game maybe just maybe I will end up with like 1750/1750 oh man that would be the best.

I also got jacked on that 'don't die during campaign' achievement. I did free mode and died on my new character for some stupid reason or another. Shortly after I started a brand new campaign with the character (I hadn't done it yet) and when I went through without dieing, I didn't get the achievement. Pissed me off. ;o

If you like loot grabbing hack n' slash, you'll love Sacred 2. The story is goofy, but not more nonsensical than most video games.
I'm taking the approach of avoiding a lot of side quests to start with. It's distracting to have 10 going on at once. Most are very simple. If I could do quite a few at once, I could be more economical. Some of the map and quest designs result in repetitive runs, which is probably the most frustrating part of the game. The second most frustrating is not being able to save anywhere you want, although you can save anytime. You just don't reappear where you saved, you reappear at the last activated checkpoint pillar.
I still can't figure out the upgrade systems, and my Seraphim is at lvl15. Points to upgrade her appear with lvl ups, and I use those to do the spells. I am guessing that using multiple runes for the same spell doesn't help at all?
And the weapons upgrade system with the slots is confusing as well. I go to a blacksmith and he offers to upgrade a couple of crummy weapons, not my better stuff. Can I do upgrades myself and attach stuff? What objects can I attach?
This is the main reason why I like D&D universe stuff- the familiar names and approach can make it easier to navigate without having to learn a whole new system.

The blacksmith can't upgrade the armor your [B]wearing[B]. So if you have upgrade slots on your helmet or something, you need to take it off before you go talk to him, then he will offer to upgrade it. As for the runes, even I'm not too sure and I'm level 30.
Here's a guide for runes that I've been looking at lately, it explains a lot. http://forum.sacredeng.ascaron-net.com/showthread.php?t=43426
I have like only 9 achievements left, this will probably be the only game I keep playing after I get all 1000.
Multiple runes level up the spell and can add more effects to it also, but it raises the regeneration time on it so there is a fine line to walk.
Also ianoid, last night I got 2 of the exact same Set Item Seraphim helm its level 30, I can just give it to you if you need it.

The camera angle is abysmal, I can't even see my characters armor/weapons/etc.
There really isn't anything pushing you forward, but is that the point? To just wander around taking boring sidequests to get more loot drops?
Is that all there really is to this game?
Would I like Too Human if I hate this? At least from the demo, Too Human seemed to have more mainstream combat, and more interesting environments/loot.

The problem your having is common, there are so many side quests that you get taken off of the main quest and forget about it. The main quest is the gold ring/arrow on the world/mini map. The game is open world and really doesnt stress the main story very well, I never felt the need to get back to the main quest and would run around killing stuff for hours. Most games force you to eventually get back to the main quest but this one for some reason lets you go at your own pace. Its a decent game though, once you get to the higher difficulties and have to use your skills to kill bosses.

Nope. The best part of Too Human was in the demo. The exploding, poison, and polarize effect enemies kill Too Human later, unless you like watching a Valkyrie bring your character to life a lot.
Sacred is a hack and slash, really the point of these games is to wander around and hack your way through enemies, collect loot, and level up to gain more ways to hack through things and collect loot.

The game-crash bugs ticked me off at first (respawning where you can't move), but they seem to be a thing of the past.
What really pisses me off is playing with my wife, and only she can pick up loot off enemies I kill and vice versa -- at least most of the time. It wouldn't be so bad if we could actually DROP or GIVE items. But no, you're stuck either selling them or scrapping them.
I thought when I saw that communal chest that I could put items in that she could take out, but no such luck. How the hell can there be a game like this in 2009 that doesn't have such simple functionality that was in a game from 1993? PLEASE someone tell me I'm just missing something, and there's a way to exchange items.
I scoped back about 4 pages before asking this, by the way. Sorry if it's on an earlier page.

Did you allow the game to update? After the first update my wife and I have been able to trade back and forth all we want. Just last night my wife and I traded at least ten items back and forth. We've played all through the light campaign first on bronze and are now about 80 hours into our dark characters (we're now 70% through on Gold at level 65).
As far as local coop goes the only major glitch we're still stuck with is that sometimes the second player can't summon their mount. When that happens we have to back out to the dashboard and restart the game. There's also the glitch where one or the other player gets stuck, but that just requires a save and restart which only takes a few seconds.

Thanks for your take, guys. I'm playing on PS3, and I let the game update when I first put it in. I haven't been prompted to do so since.
New PS3 update today fixes the coop trading. I didn't realize they hadn't fixed that on the PS3 yet.
I'm now up to level 76 and ~70% of the way through platinum. Still loving it. Hitting level 75 and getting the masteries was awesome.
Has Wombat commented on this game in the podcast? This game does dress up better than any console game ever. I'd think that he'd be all over that.

I guess I need to update things before the wife gets home so we can play tonight. Thanks, jkanownik.

So you haven't started yet, either? Sweet. Still trying to decide which character class to choose. I'm a bit intimidated by all the stuff in this game, but I said that about Oblivion once, and freaking love that game.

Started a dark campaign with 2 buddies last night. It took a few minutes, but we eventually figured it out. I'm hooked.:hot:

How can I fix the fucking lag in this game when I play with another person on Live? It's so bad!
We both have pretty decent download speeds (2.5 Mb), so I don't think it's either connection.
