I was wondering that too. I to have a defective battery that came with the bundle and I have no clue on how to get a replacement without going to the store and buying a new one.

I don't know for sure but I believe most accessories have only a 1 or 3 month warranty. Good luck trying to get Microsoft to authorize a repair, usually their customer "service" directs you back to the store to get them to replace it.

90 days warranty on accessories.

I think that the items that come with the console are covered by the year warranty the console comes with.

Problem is, you'll need to send it in to them first, and then get the replacement back, which is what they did for my controller that died.

Buy a store replacement and swapping it out, then returning the "defective" one is one way to do it, yes.
