Well my birthday is coming up and im saving up for a psp slim , but if its the right reason. I really want to get one since there are quite some rpg games I really want to play.

I want to know what the psp slim can do since I know it plays games , movies , & music. Also can you save movies on the psp or any games?

give me some details on this PSP SLIM!:bouncy:

Also if I do get a psp slim what do I need to buy for it ( accessories ).

And what games are really good for the psp. Can the psp play import games or movies or have to download a certain firmware or something ( don't really know what the firmware does so give me some info plz )

Would the psp slim bundle worth the money ?

What are the pros & cons between the psp and the ds lite ? ( include the games also since both have rpg's ) and yes im a big fan of rpg & anime games.

I just bought a PSP Slim this week, and I love it. It's so much lighter, & less thick than the original, and I can actually charge it via USB cable.

Also, the D-pad on the Slim has been improved; I can actually do fireballs & dragon punches on Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Street-Fighter-Alpha-3-Max-PSP-013388270033/sem/rpsm/oid/146504/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do).

After only one day of owning it.... I hacked it. Now I can do "virtually" whatever I want. :) Custom themes, Shoutcast Radio, Emulators/ROMS (cps1/cps2/neogeo), play PS1 / PSP / Imports off the memory stick, & use the brightest screen setting while disconnectd.

Whatever you do, DON'T get the Composite TV-out cable. It only works for UMD.

I'm thinking about purchasing a slim as well...I have really large hands so I'm worried that I'll have to buy some shitty grip thing to make it comfortable. Whats a good replacement nub also? I know that'll be my first accessory!

Yes, you're right, it can be done, but only on a hacked PSP.

Something interesting I saw on youtube was this kid doing TV-out via the USB cable.

The various Slim bundles are a good deal, but be aware that the Piano Black color is only available in a standalone unit. I don't know if it really bothers you, but I think the silver PSP is an eyesore. Also be sure to get a Hori screen protector or something similar. It's absolutely crucial for preserving the screen.

God Of war Chains of Olympus and FF: Crisis Core are must buys!

The PSP is definately worth the purchase, with or without CFW, I have the ceramic white psp and my only complaint about it is that dirt shows up like no other on it.

Yes. No region lock on games. UMD movies are restricted to country of origin though.

Totally agree!!

Try this coupon at Circuit City to pick up a God of War Bundle for $40.00 off

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185026

The coupon says that copies are not accepted and that it cannot be used on gaming systems, but it worked for me and several other CAGs as you can see from reading that thread.

And the Piano Black one shows fingerprints and smudges like mad.

I just got a red God Of War system which seems to not have either of these problems.

Both are great games and great portable games. I purchased the God of War bundle this week and Crisis Core. Wow what an improvement over the original PSP. As level1online said, you can actually do moves in Street Fighter now! Imagine that!

The slim is great. Pick a color and enjoy!

Crisis Core bundle? WHERE?

Nowhere. Unless you're thinking of the limited edition Japanese bundle.

And have a wad of money that you don't want.

And don't mind not being able to return it if it has some terrible looking dead pixels.

I just bought one off of Ebay and waiting for it to come in. Im looking into custom firmware and have questions

How difficult is it to install that? I read that it can mess up your PSP. Does it void your warranty and are you banned from going online with games if you have custom firmware? Are you ever able to update to Sony updates?

I read that it can mess up your PSP.

You mean "brick" a PSP?

Yes it can unless you have a Pandora Battery to "unbrick" it.

Recently, I saw a website selling those for 10 bux.
