Very nice deal...tempting me to buy it now. I know I want Midway Treasures 2 since it's only $20, just not too usre on MK:Deception. Anyways...great deal nonetheless.

To be honest.....MK: DECEPTION was a pleasant surprise at E3. CheapyD can corroborate as he beat on me......a couple rounds that is.
Has some nice features like: A battle Chess Mode, Multiple Level Arenas (ala DOA3...very cool), and similar fluid gameplay as MK: Deadly Alliance (a pleasant surprise). They did say it had online play as well. So all in all not bad. MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES 2 is a Must Must Buy. Hands down.

It does not. But it does have online high scoreboards via XBL. If its like the first MAT, there are overall high score boards and one shared by those on your friends list.

Yes, 'tis true. Its now only available in the Kollectors/Premium editions.
Somone please correct me if I am wrong.

Great deal cheapy, I would so be all over this, but why 'o why did Gamestop have to be stuck with the baraka cover? I was so set on getting the scorpian one. So much so that I'm actually contemplating on spending the extra $10 on it.

To clarify, MK1 will only be in the Special Editions of MK:Deception. Arcade Treasures 2 will contain MK2 and MK3. As far as MK3 is concerned, there has been debate as to whether this refers to Ultimate MK3, or the original version. "Ultimate" has not been specifically mentioned, but trailers of the game have shown footage including UMK3 stages. We'll find out for sure in October.

I'll definitely be getting the Gamecube version. Nintendo needs all the help it can get.
Arcade Treasures is better on the Xbox since it features scoreboards over XBL.

That depends how old you are I suppose. I thought the first one was very good, and this second edition doesn't look anywhere near as good to me. I'll still be getting it though.
So do these not expire untill thy are released? Also, when aare the release dates for these games?

Sighes. I just wish this was the "Mileena" cover instead since I don't like the "Baraka" cover as much. Would anyone in the KC area be willing to trade a new Mileena version to me for a Baraka version? I'm mainly thinking of TRU employees with a discount here. I know I'm hoping against hope to trade but whatever.

Anyway, enough about that crap, lets talk MK or MAT!

There's 4 (Raiden, Baraka, Scorpion & Mileena), but for the xbox only...PS2 only gets one cover (Sub-Zero). So if you were considering the PS2 version you have nothing to lose.

I can't wait for MK:Deception, but it IS coming to the Cube next year.
But without the online play it's really not worth it. That's kinda the selling point of the whole game.

I may end up getting in on this deal but I'm not sure where to put the coupon code in. When I put the 2 games in the shopping cart and then proceed to checkout it has me sign in and then has me pick a shipping option. After that it wants my credit card info but it still does not have a coupon slot. Am I missing something here? Thanks.

kraid: Go to "View Cart" and there should be a blue box in the top-left hand corner that says "Have a coupon? Enter it below!". Be sure to choose Value Shipping on the shipping screen. I believe you do not see the affect until the final checkout screen though.
EDIT: Yeah, it will show the correct total on the credit card page. I just got through ordering it. Thanks Cheapy!

If you're only buying these for the old arcade versions for whatever reasons, just hold off for the plug-and-play controller coming out in a few months, it'll have MK 1, 2, and 3 on it. I'm sure there aren't too many people buying MK:D just for the MK1 port, but...you never know.

Not a bad deal but a major committment to buy 2 games for 80...I'll hold off because I think I'll be able to get it cheaper in an ad.
By the way, when it does go platinum/greatest hits it won't include the mortal kombat 1 conversion so I guess we'll need to buy it relatively quickly.
As for midway arcade treasures 2, it'll probably be 15-17 at circuit city opening week and it is TOTALLY WORTH IT.
