bugingai, morrowind goty edition look like the good deals here
Looking at the Dallas ad, it does not look like the GOTY edition of Morrowind. I think it's just the regular version that normally sells for $19.99.

I am looking at the LA ad and there is no Morrowind:GOTY
Thanks Fido Dido for this continually posting Fr's prices. I'm sure a lot of CAG'ers appreciate it.

Sorry, everyone. My bad. The Fry's ads pictured a non-Platinum Hits version of Morrowind. I just assumed that since the non-GOTY Morrowind is pretty much out of print nowadays, that it was the GOTY version, when I look more carefully at the ad, it does appear to be the old Morrowind non-GOTY, non-PH version.

Bujingai: The Forsaken City looks good. Can't reach it though. Any possibility they'll put it up on Outpost for $25?

If you got the GOTY version it's well worth the additional $5.

This is another case of the OC Register's ad being superior to the LA Times ad. Though the LA Times gets a better ad on Mondays...but that's not much consolation.

I was at the San Jose Fry's earlier today. There was a stack of GC Tales of Symphonia.
Xbox Morrowind was not GOTY, but it was Platinum Hits. Of course, YMMV...

Nope nohing for me again. It's almost a good thing since i still have all those TRU and CC games to play.
I'm still hoping Fry's will have a GBA SP with some free stuff for around that price. I don't know if I will ever get a GBA SP if I can't find a really good deal. I might just wait for the DS.

Sometimes (although it is probably the exception rather than the rule), the same items are on sale at Outpost.com. But shipping costs will often kill most deals. Shipping starts at about $5, so add at least that much to every order.

fidodo, can you confirm that it is the GOTY edition of Morrowind or jsut the regular Morrowind that has on it saying GOTY.

I checked the South San Diego ad and the NC San Marcos ad and both had the picture of the Non-PH Morrowind NON GOTY edition.

Yeah, I'm going to have to say it's YMMV. The ads clearly display a non-Platinum Hits, non-Game of the Year version of Morrowind. But I believe droptopmetro...the Fry's employees make mistakes all the time, so I wouldn't be surprised if some people managed to get the GotY edition at that price.

When you say LA Fry's - does this include the Fry's in Orange County?

Sale prices that appear in "LA" are valid at all of the stores in the LA/OC area:
Burbank, Fountain Valley, Woodland Hills, Manhattan Beach, Anaheim, and City of Industry.
The exception being Manhattan Beach...which doesn't carry big appliances and household stuff. But that's not really relevant to gaming. ;)
