Long post

Okay I offered to help a guy on Craigslist sell some stuff he has, I get a percentage and he covers shipping, seller fees, the works. Reasons, I don't have a job right now since I moved to Kennewick, WA and I figured I could give him a hand, and I'm bored.

The list of stuff is long and I need help finding resources besides ebay to help price things and maybe sell them

He has a lot of collectible card game stuff such as several boxes of Star Wars CCG.
Most of the boxes are commons, he has a binder full of uncommons and rares I think, I have no idea of the value, none of them are foils and it appears that the cards that would be rare such as vader or vader's lightsaber aren't worth much. I also have no idea what series they are from, I see some cards from "A new hope" and that is all I know.

He also appears to have a full set of Star Trek Next Generation CCG cards as well. He has a whole collection of alternate universe, and a set of unlimited cards. There is also an autographed Star Trek Encyclopedia.
Other items include several boxs of older sports cards
-A small collection of Ken Griffey Jr cards
-A small collection of Nolan Ryan cards, including a plastic sealed "No-Hitter #7"
-Older D & D books, 2nd edition, DM, player's guide, monster's etc
-Random Magic the Gathering cards

Video Game Stuff
Old working Nintendo (anyone want, with several games and nes Advantage)
-Misc ps2 games, and 2 broken slim ps2 consoles, one needs a new laser and the other who knows

Misc pc stuff
a dozen or so of mini-pci wireless cards, 80211b and their AMbit
4 as is Nec MobliePro 900 with ac adapters, set up to work with Windows CE
A box of still sealed 48x cd-roms
Wall mount LCD Arm, also has a piece for a desk mount
A few Cisco systems pieces (wireless access point, and a controller card with antenna)
A laptop that doesn't boot up screen and ram are still good, I'm guessing HD is as well

Now I know I can probably sell some of the pc stuff on ebay or local CL, ? is how much should I ask/expect for the stuff. What about the CCG SW and ST cards should I just sell them as a lot on ebay/CL? Is their an online listing that I could check with in regards to value? I'm sure the few card/comic stores around here won't buy the CCG cards for much.

Any help, offers, or anything is appreciated.

And if I can't sell any of it I'll let him know

The Star Wars set I say set around a 35 dollar price range, and set the Star Trek set for around 50-60.00 depending on the condition of it. The Ken Griffey Jr. cards, it really depends on the brand of the cardmaker, but I'd say 40 dollars for the cards. D&D would pretty much be worthless, unless he has the board game to go alongside with it. As for the NES, it depends on the quality of it, as well as what games it comes with. Just for the NES alone it'd be a good 45.00, now if you were to give me the list of games, I can give you a price on that as well. Same goes for the Ps2 games, and as for the Broken Ps2, you'll get 12 dollars for it tops. Or see if you can get a better deal trading that in at K-Mart. I doubt this would sell well on Ebay, no offense to the seller but it all sounds like low end garage sale items (with the exception of the NES). For the cards, I would say go to a sports shop and see what they'd dish out, as not many people collect sports cards anymore. The PC stuff won't really sell either, sorry to say.

There were multiple Star Wars card games. First you'll have to figure out what game he collected (the publisher). If he collected more than one game then you should split them up and sell as a lot. If he has the cards decipher made then some of the sets/cards are worth more than others. If you find a good way to sell those things let me know, I have a shelf full of binders of the cards from when I used to play in college.

If its the original Decipher one, "Emperor Palpatine" and "Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight" still fetch upwards of $50 apiece, $20-30ish for "Lord Vader" and "Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith." Its really the later cards in the series that are worth the most, especially if he has any Coruscant or Reflections III.

If there are lots of boxes of commons, I'd suggest selling half the face cards throwing everything up as a "collection." I ended up paying for two Wiis and games/accessories at launch selling mostly mains alone, and made another $500 last year getting rid of the rest. I just found another box of rares that I'm going to have to throw up online.

Then again, I was a pro-tier player, so my collection was quite extensive. eBay is definitely the way to go for SWCCG stuff, though.

And for the NES stuff...its as a lot or not at all, or you'll be stuck with the commons after Link, Dr. Mario, and Mario 3 are snapped up. Ignore Beast's prices, those are ludicrous. I wouldn't ask more than $30-35 for the lot if you want someone to actually buy it.

Thanks Gatsby I'll take some time again and look through the cards, would you mind if I sent you a pm about some of the SW cards?

Those prices are ludicrous? How so, because Super Mario 3 goes for so much? Or would you rather have him sell it for 5 bucks? I'm just being truthful, sorry if it isn't so 'cheap'. :-)

Looks like I'm going to split the 4000+ cards into 2-3 lots with some rares intermixed and try to sell them on ebay.

Okay then. I've got three copies that I'll give you for $15 a pop if you'd like to double your money, and can keep you in a steady supply of them.

$30 complete, maybe.

Are you just typing to hear the clacking of the keyboard? Because you obviously have no idea of what anything at all in this post is worth.

Are you just typing to try and raise your own ego? So your standards puts an Atari (factory sealed) for an average of 20 dollars with the way you're putting things. It's not my fault that you look at garage sale prices rather than what the actual apprasial can go for. :-)

No, I'm just indicating that you really have no idea what you're talking about and therefore aren't contributing to this thread in any capacity.

And, yeah, kube, the lots idea will probably work the best.

Make sure to overestimate on shipping -- they are HEAVY; my collection cost about $70+ to ship out (one big box for UPS and two flat-rate Priority boxes).

You've actually indicated that if something had been mint it'd be the same value for it as if it was gently used or heavily damaged. Thank you for pointing that out Gatsby, you showed everyone the seller you are on this forum. :-)

You really aren't making the slightest bit of sense. You made a claim about the value of a game, I said, "No, actually, its this *LINK SHOWING ACTUAL SELLING PRICE*, but the price you're quoting may apply to something else." And that means I value things in different condition similarly?
