some will disagree, but ryu from street fighter. as a character to use in a fighting game, he's solid. but as a character character, i say he's boring. that's right, i said it... he's boring. while i can respect that some guys like to train for their whole life, that doesn't mean he can't be dull either. i hope capcom gets some sense and continues the street fighter story, so sagat can kill this guy in SF4. then he could come back as a zombie or something, and at least have more personality. or at least give him another side-hobby. or a side-story.

I'm an avid Ryu user---since in my formative SF2 days I had trouble with the shoryuken motion rendering Ken's advantages useless to me---but I agree with your points about him being dull. It'd be funny if in SF4 he's grown tired of travelling, so if he wins he turns to the camera and goes "HELL YEAH BITCH, I'M GOING TO THE TITTY BAR!"

I think Sonic is slightly overrated too. I never saw much fun in zipping around stages so fast that you couldn't enjoy them. But that is just a personal feeling. I'm sure most people don't feel the same way.

I dont understand the Anti-Master Chief comments here. He's been in one-above average game. He doesn't talk much but what little dialog he has its decent.

Lara Croft on the other hand has been in (what seems to be countless) bad games. Because of that, she is a worse case than Master Chief.
