Anyone seen these yet? Who knew they'd dig these up?
Mario (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00026L7YU/ref=pd_nfyhl_fr_gw_nr_1/102-2866629-2921745)
Zelda (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000AZT6I/ref=pd_bxgy_img_2/102-2866629-2921745?v=glance&s=dvd)
I vividly recall watching that show. Captain Lou Albano was a great Mario, if you ask me.

Both of those cartoons were great. I remember them fondly.

These kinds of things are never good to watch once you grow up. They just aren't any good and ruin your memory of the show. Try watching the GI Joe movie again if you don't believe me.

I know what your talking about. I watched Thundercats and some other old cartoons not too long ago that I was in love with as kid but now I see they pretty much suck. I did watch those Mario cartoons but I won't ruin them by watching them again.

I know that pain. I own the first full season of Transformers. The movie is still fun to watch, though. Ba Weep Grah Nah Weep Ninnybong?

Ditto. But that doesn't stop me from watching them. And I've found that drinking or drug use tends to up their replay value.
Its funny how hilariously bad some cartoons we liked as children were.
And we all wondered why our parents hated us watching cartoons all day when we were kids...rewatching Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Transformers etc. as an adult, now I understand. *cries because parents were right*
Still, Zelda, Mario, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats were light years ahead of the mind numbingly stupid Pokemon cartoons.

Zelda is one of the worst cartoons ever. Just horrible.

I own both of those. Love them. Highly recommended. The live sequences are cheezy as hell.

I also have both.
But if you want the REAL classic Mario cartoons, track down the DVD put out by DIC a few years back. It had 10 episodes of the Super Mario Super Show (the DVD in this thread has episodes of Super Mario 3). Good stuff.

awesome, I own the first one up there. I found it at my local SunCoast and have treasured it ever since!! If only they'd bring back that dreamy Ninteno cereal!!
...or atleast the CAPTAIN N shows on DVD!

You are correct. He-Man was my favorite cartoon ever, but if I saw it now I'd see first hand that it's just constantly reused animation with different backgrounds...and essentially a 30 minute toy commercial with very few episodes that actually had good plots.
Gotta disagree on Transformers though, yeah, it's nothing amazing but at least that show holds up somewhat well. Movie is still fun to pull out once a year as well.

I gotta assume you're a youngin if you've never heard of Heathcliff. Heathcliff was the shit in his day.. kicked the crap out the Garfield cartoons.
God dammit.. and now the theme song is stuck in my head again.

Mine too, dammit. The thing that bothers me the most about that is that I don't remember all the words, so it sounds like:
Heathcliff Heathcliff blah blah blaaaah, blah blah blah blah everyooone. But the blah blah blah won't be outdone..
